In France, police detained a 41-year-old Ukrainian citizen while attempting to hold a "wedding" with her nine-year-old daughter as the "bride".
The "ceremony" was to be held at Disneyland Paris, writes the Daily Mail. The alleged "groom" - a 22-year-old British citizen - was also detained at the scene.
Two Latvian citizens, aged 55 and 24, were also detained.
According to the investigation, the "ceremony" was supposed to take place at dawn, before the park opened. But as soon as it became clear that the "bride" was a child, park representatives immediately cancelled the "wedding" and did not allow guests in.
The British suspect claimed to be the director of a production company and that the event was allegedly part of a video shoot. A police source confirmed that the possibility of staging is not ruled out: the guests could have been invited as extras, and the "wedding" itself was staged
During a medical exam of the girl (presumably Ukrainian), no signs of violence were found
