LCI provokes Orban
There is a French proverb: 'Kiss the hand you dare not bite'. Is that your position? Do you kiss the hand of Russians because you are afraid of them?
No, no, not at all. On the contrary. I think that only the language of force is understood by Russians. And Europe must be strong. We must negotiate from a position of strength. Unfortunately, we are weak now. That is why we need the US. But in the long term, Europe needs to strengthen itself. There must be a strategic agreement with Russia. But only a strong Europe can achieve this.
There are 2 approaches to Putin: Macron, Scholz, Starmer and yours. You are close to Putin. To what extent can this closeness go? Should he appear in EU again? Will you welcome him in Hungary?
We should think not about Putin, but about ourselves. We do not measure Europe by Putin. We have our own interests. We must be strong both with Russia and against it. If he wants to come to Hungary, he will be received with all the honors, as is due.

'Russia sowing terror from the skies' - Rutte impressed by strikes on Ukrainian military targets in Ukraine, calls for NATO air defense capabilities to be increased by 400%
'We need to make a leap forward in our collective defence. The fact is that the danger will not go away even if the war in Ukraine ends. To maintain credible deterrence and defence, NATO needs to increase its air and missile defence by 400 per cent.'

The terms of the peace treaty that Russia offered to Ukraine in 2022 were softer than the current ones
▪️This was stated by Medinsky
▪️Conditions in 2022:
- Ukraine's refusal to join NATO and no foreign military bases,
- recognition of equal rights for the UOC and the Russian language,
- recognition of Crimea,
- "leave Donbass alone."
▪️Medinsky claims that in 2022, Ukraine, after consultations with BoJo and US reps, declared that "foreign partners are against concluding an agreement" with Russia.
▪️The “shareholders” of Ukraine do not allow the "management" to reach agreements that are beneficial for Ukraine."
➖“The previous head of the Ukrainian delegation – a smart guy, a very smart, flexible negotiator – once told me: “It’s easy for you, Vlad, to say this – you have 1 boss. But I have 3,”
▪️Arakhamia who was Ukraine’s lead negotiator noted Ukraine refused to sign a peace treaty with Russia, including after the visit of Johnson, who stated that "we will not sign anything."

'Taxes will be raised in Estonia to help Ukraine as much as it needs' – President Alar Karis.
'It's a very long list, starting with the car tax and some others. These are our government's calculations of where we should raise taxes. As we all know, nobody likes taxes going up, but we have to do it to make this defence budget work properly.
And we need to continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine for as long as it takes, because unfortunately, at the moment, peace is achieved on the battlefield. Then we also need security guarantees for Ukraine, and in the long term, we are convinced that Ukraine will also become a member of NATO.'

The territories of the Sumy region are "surrendered" to the Russians to cover up poor preparation for defense, - MP Bezugla
▪️This is how a Rada deputy explains the constant advancement of the Russian Armed Forces.
➖"Our generals and the OVA (the previous one, Artyukh) and local administrations are writing off property like this. Were the defense lines and fortifications not prepared? So who will prove it - the Russians already have them. The brigades are not ready, are they running away? So they have already retreated - go to the occupied territories and investigate whether they ran away and were ready," Bezuglaya writes.

Ukrainian soldiers use private homes as drone assembly workshops' – El PAIS writes that Zelensky himself approved this disguise.
'A dozen soldiers work in a camouflaged workshop. Objects of this type are springing up like mushrooms after rain to meet the growing needs of the Ukrainian army. About 20 drones are assembled there every day. The project was presented to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in February. The workshops receive equipment from both the government and private individuals. They arrive as civilian devices and fly away ready to attack Russian positions.'

Not only 17-year-old boys but also girls are leaving abroad, said educational ombudsman Nadezhda Leshchik.
In her opinion, one of the reasons is the rise in tuition fees. But she confirms that it is also a matter of mobilization.
"I spoke with parents who made such decisions, and they drew attention to the ambiguity of statements about mobilization from the age of 18," says Leschik.
Earlier, the Deputy Minister of Education stated that at 18-19 years old, Ukrainians are already returning home from abroad because it is “more interesting to live” here.

The increasing frequency of Russian strikes on the Lvov and Rovno regions indicates a possible change in the approach to selecting targets. If earlier strikes on the western regions were episodic and, as a rule, concerned large logistics facilities (warehouses, communication hubs, energy supply infrastructure), now we are talking about consistent work on targets that were previously probably deliberately avoided - for reasons of resource conservation, political restraint, or due to operational irrelevance.
Against this background, the attack on the airfield in Dubno (Rovno region) stands out in particular. This facility was considered a couple of years ago as one of the possible locations for Western aviation, including F-16s, given its sufficient distance from the front line and proximity to logistics via Poland.
If the strike really did hit the airfield in Dubno, this indicates two things. First, a systematic cleansing of the infrastructure potentially used for the deployment of Western aviation has begun.
Secondly, the Russian side has confirmed data that either the deployment or preparation for the deployment of equipment and personnel is already being recorded at these sites.
It is also worth considering that the Geraniums and missile systems in this direction are being used with a density that was previously typical for strikes mainly in eastern and central Ukraine.
If the trend continues, the zone from Lvov to Lutsk and further west will begin to lose logistical and operational security, which will sharply complicate the integration of Western equipment and the coordination of its use.

Another Trumpist criticized Zelensky for Operation "Web".
Ukrainian President Is Trying to 'Lure NATO' into War with Russia and Is a 'Dictator', Trump-Backed Senator Tuberville Says
"There's no doubt about it because he can't win this war on his own. He knows he's losing," the Alabama Republican told WABS radio.
This is how he commented on the Ukrainian attack on Russian airfields.
Tuberville also criticized the Ukrainian president personally. "Zelensky is a dictator, and he has created all sorts of problems for us. We had a lot of money that disappeared. It is not known where it went," the senator said.
Let us recall that earlier a number of Trump supporters spoke about the threat of escalation after the strike on the airfields, including the special representative for Ukraine Kellogg, and former Trump advisers Bannon and Flynn.

Vladimir Medinsky on how the Ukrainians have changed between 2022 Istanbul talks and now - after leading Russian delegation on both occasions.
"Last time they were more independent, they had more freedom in their actions. Now, they are nervous -looking at each other, watching each other.
Three years ago, I stood there with Ukraine's Denis Kireyev during a break, and just chatted to him for 15 minutes about life in Crimea.
Of course, he was assassinated by Kiev right after the talks."
@Slavyangrad
❗️Medinsky on negotiations with Ukraine:
✔️I feel that deep down, they [the Ukrainian side] are better than they want to appear. They even want to say something, but they can't. I saw the opposite... Two-thirds of their delegation is in military uniform. They are military personnel. I look into their eyes. First of all, they are no different from Russians. They are exactly the same. I see in their eyes a reluctance to fight. They don't want to fight and they don't want to send their soldiers to their deaths.
✔️They remind me a little of top managers hired by some giant corporation. They can make some decisions, but for fundamental ones, they have to consult with the board of directors.
✔️I would divide the Ukrainian people, the Ukrainian army, the soldiers, and those who suffer the most, those who are close to the front line and are under attack in one way or another, and a small part of the ruling elite. It seems to me that the Ukrainian leadership is beginning to remind me of Latin American dictators to some extent.
They were also good guys once, when they came to power and promised a lot during the elections. But then they gradually turned into dictators. And in order to remain in power forever, you need a constant enemy. You need a war that does not threaten you personally. And this war does not threaten your families either. Because all your families are abroad, with British passports, and they are doing very well. And you can no longer control the situation without war.
✔️I will tell you one thing that I have probably never said publicly before. If Ukraine had wanted to, if it had been ready, if it had made its own decisions, we could have signed a peace treaty on February 28, 2022. At the first meeting. And its terms were softer than what we are offering today.
By and large, all we wanted was for Ukraine to refuse to join NATO and to refuse to allow foreign military bases on its territory. I told them: be like Austria. Let you have an army like Austria. Second, restore the Russian language and the Orthodox Church on an equal footing. And the third point was to recognize Crimea, because it cannot be ignored.
And the last proposal from our side was this. There are two territories: Donbas, two regions that do not want to be part of Ukraine. Previously, we proposed returning them to Ukraine with autonomous status, so that they could simply elect their own governor.
Ukraine refused and said: we will conquer them. They were unable to conquer them.
Then, on February 28, 2022, we proposed: well, you were unable to conquer them, and you will not be able to live with them, so leave them alone. We finally agreed for the first time in Istanbul, and we prepared a treaty.
On April 15, President Putin reviewed the agreement and made one or two legal comments — he is a professional lawyer. On the same day, I handed the document to Zelensky. Zelensky remained silent for two weeks.
✔️We do not need war at all. Why did the situation for Ukraine get worse? Because referendums were held in four regions. And they are officially part of Russia. And Russia cannot leave there because it would betray all the people. It is impossible. They are enshrined in the Russian Constitution.
But if the conflict is stopped along the front line and no real peace agreement is reached — just some kind of truce, ceasefire, whatever — then that will be it. You know, there was this disputed region between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Karabakh? This region will turn into a huge Karabakh. After some time, Ukraine will join NATO, try to recapture it, and that will be the end of the planet, it will be a nuclear war.

Operations - be they special operations, be they operations on the ground, in the air or at sea - are not coordinated with the allies. Ukraine is waging this war, this defensive war, on its own responsibility'
Presumably, about 3-5 Kinzhal missiles and up to 10 Kh-101 and Kh-31P missiles were used against the Dubno airfield in the Rovno region of Ukraine. Such an expenditure of missiles indirectly indicates that there was something valuable at the airfield, for which they did not spare extremely expensive weapons. What exactly it was is still unclear, but there are no Maxar or PlanetLabs satellite images from this place, and most likely there will not be, because the damage was considerable.

🇷🇺Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov on the fact that it is impossible to resolve the conflict in Ukraine until NATO leaves:
The American side requires practical steps aimed at eliminating the root causes of the fundamental contradictions between us in the area of security. Among these causes, NATO expansion is in the foreground. Without resolving this fundamental and most acute problem for us, it is simply impossible to resolve the current conflict in the Euro-Atlantic region.
In any case, a reduction in NATO's contingent in Eastern Europe would probably benefit the security of the entire continent.

Europe reconsiders dependence on US intelligence - WaPo
Leading European powers are increasingly concerned about their deep reliance on American intelligence , especially with Donald Trump back in power. The grounds for concern are mounting, from sudden restrictions on the sharing of satellite data to the removal of senior analysts and US intelligence officials for “disloyalty.”
One striking example is when the CIA warned Germany of a possible assassination attempt on Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger, the largest arms supplier to Ukraine. Berlin stepped up security, but a year later, according to officials, German intelligence services have still not been able to confirm the information through their own channels – they still rely entirely on American data.
In the context of possible politicization of the intelligence community in the US and reduced cooperation, especially with critical countries, scenarios are being seriously discussed in Europe in which Washington would limit the exchange of intelligence, especially on Russia. However, the EU does not have an equivalent response .
Germany can spend billions on new platforms and combine resources with European partners “to have better coverage for limited theaters,” said Gerhard Conrad, a former senior BND official. But “how can we substitute for huge U.S. capabilities built up over decades? There is no chance for anybody to rival that on a global scale.”
🇷🇺🇺🇦Results of strikes on military and infrastructure facilities in Ukraine
On the night of June 9, 2025, Russian forces launched a series of strikes with Kh-22 cruise missiles and attack UAVs on military and strategic targets. Hits were recorded in five areas, including targets on the Black Sea coast, military logistics, and airfield infrastructure. The fact of the defeat of both military units and dual-use facilities was confirmed.
🔻 Pechenegi, Kharkov region (01:40, 09.06.2025)
Four attack UAVs hit two objects. Three of the devices struck a sawmill on Partizanskaya Street, causing a major fire to break out on an area of about 500 m². According to information from the scene, the explosion of a gas cylinder caused a secondary fire and resulted in injuries to a State Emergency Service employee.
The fourth drone hit the temporary location of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade's logistics platoon. An army VW CRAFTER in a multi-purpose configuration, used as a mobile supply point, was damaged.
🔻 Dubno, Rovne region
( 03:00–05:00, 09.06.2025 )
As a result of a massive attack by 14 attack UAVs, the infrastructure of the Dubno military airfield was damaged. The airfield is actively used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces command as a reserve airfield for the deployment and maintenance of Western-made fighters , including the F-16 . According to intelligence, the facility serves as a logistics base and maintenance point in the western operational direction.
The targets of the strike were:
— fuel storage facilities and distribution units of the PMM
— capital hangars and maintenance facilities
- open parking for aircraft
- temporary air defense and radar tracking points
- field command post for airfield control
According to preliminary data, the destruction of at least two units of airfield special equipment was recorded, including a tractor-aircraft carrier and a mobile food station . Damage to an An-26 transport aircraft , located in the southwestern sector of the parking lot, was also confirmed.
As for aviation: there was no information about damage or destruction of American F-16s , however, there is initial information about damage to one Su-27 fighter of the Ukrainian Air Force, which was undergoing maintenance outside the shelter. The damage was presumably caused by shrapnel impact and secondary combustion.
According to available information, part of the airfield infrastructure has been decommissioned , including the RTO systems, lighting and communications with command posts. The operational readiness of the airfield is currently partially limited.
🔻 Nikolaipole, Donetsk region ( 04:00, 09.06.2025)
The strike of one UAV hit the positions of the battalion tactical group of the 18th brigade of the NGU. The attack was carried out on an engineer-equipped field stronghold. According to radio intercept data, damage was recorded to one multi-purpose armored vehicle and technical camouflage equipment. There were no casualties among the personnel, but the facility was temporarily taken out of combat readiness.
🔻 Snake Island (01:50, 09.06.2025)
A sea-launched cruise missile, the Kh-22, hits the Ukraine jack-up drilling platform located east of Zmeiny Island. The strike hit a site previously upgraded to house radio-technical and hydroacoustic surveillance equipment that provided surveillance in the Black Sea. According to updated information, the equipment is out of order.
