Mount Etna has begun erupting in Sicily: tourists are fleeing from lava and ash, Bild reports.
Europe's most active volcano, Mount Etna, began erupting this morning, sending streams of lava, ash and gas into the air. The eruption was caused by a collapse on the northern side of the crater, the Italian Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) said.
The videos published show terrified tourists running away from huge clouds of dust and rocks. According to INGV, liquid lava is ejected from the crater and tremors have increased in the region. So far, the hot mass has not spread beyond the Valle del Leone valley, which is located far from populated areas.
The eruption has raised the aviation alert to red level. However, Catania airport continues to operate. Etna is under constant surveillance as it erupts regularly. The last bursts of activity were recorded in early May.

Iran has rejected the USA's proposals as "non-starters" since they offer zero concessions and only diktats.
Combined with the "failure" of this round of negotiations in Istanbul between Russia and Ukraine, it is evident that for all the globalist west's rhetoric about "Russia and Iran being unwilling to compromise", it is they who don't want to budge and are simply stalling for time to rearm and regroup.

Memorandum of Russia given to representatives of Ukraine
✔️International legal recognition of the incorporation of Crimea, LPR, DPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions into the Russian Federation; complete withdrawal of Ukrainian Armed Forces units and other Ukrainian paramilitary formations from their territories
✔️Neutrality of Ukraine, which implies its refusal to join military alliances and coalitions, as well as a ban on any military activity of third states on the territory of Ukraine and the deployment of foreign armed formations, military bases and military infrastructure there;
✔️ Termination of and refusal to conclude in the future international treaties and agreements that are incompatible with the previous paragraph;
✔️Confirmation of Ukraine's status as a state that does not possess nuclear or other weapons of mass destruction, with the establishment of a direct ban on its acceptance, transit and deployment on the territory of Ukraine
✔️Establishment of the maximum number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations of Ukraine, the maximum number of weapons and military equipment and their permissible characteristics; dissolution of Ukrainian nationalist formations within the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard
✔️Ensuring the full rights, freedoms and interests of the Russian and Russian-speaking population; giving the Russian language the status of an official language

Beginning of the complete withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other paramilitary formations of Ukraine from the territory of the Russian Federation, including the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and their withdrawal to a distance agreed upon by the parties from the borders of the Russian Federation, in accordance with the approved regulation.
✔️Option 2. “Package offer”:
1) a ban on the redeployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other paramilitary formations of Ukraine, with the exception of movements for the purpose of withdrawal to a distance agreed upon by the Parties from the borders of the Russian Federation;
2) termination of mobilization and beginning of demobilization;
3) termination of foreign supplies of military products and foreign military assistance to Ukraine, including the provision of satellite communications services and the provision of intelligence data;
4) the exclusion of the military presence of third countries on the territory of Ukraine, the cessation of the participation of foreign specialists in military operations on the side of Ukraine;
5) guarantees of Ukraine’s renunciation of sabotage and subversive activities against the Russian Federation and its citizens;
6) creation of a bilateral Center for monitoring and control of the ceasefire regime;
7) mutual amnesty of “political prisoners” and release of detained civilians;
8) lifting martial law in Ukraine
9) announcement of the date of elections of the President of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada, which must take place no later than 100 days after the lifting of martial law.
10) signing the Agreement on the implementation of the provisions.

Russian Federation handed over a two-part memorandum to the Ukrainian side, Medinsky reported. The second part of the Russian Federation's memorandum suggests a number of ways to cease fire.
Russia has proposed a ceasefire to Ukraine for 2-3 days in certain areas of the front, Medinsky reported.
The ceasefire should allow the bodies of the dead to be collected.
The sick and seriously wounded will be exchanged on the principle of "all for all", Medinsky added.

WELT reports that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attempt to intimidate the Russians before the talks in Istanbul has failed.
'At today's meeting in Istanbul, the Russians are unlikely to be impressed by this [drone attack]. I don't think it will change their position - the maximum demands from the Russian side will be put forward again. That is, demilitarization, withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from disputed territories. The Ukrainians will again demand a ceasefire.'

Umerov says the Russian and Ukrainian delegations have agreed to exchange all seriously ill prisoners of war and those under 25 years of age.
There must also be an exchange of bodies of the dead.
The next round of negotiations will take place after June 20.

I suppose most have forgotten about the Christmas Truce of 1914, which allowed for widespread collection of bodies.
As for WWII, it is true that the Soviet forces never engaged in any “ceasefires” with the Nazis, for any purpose; however, sporadic examples of limited truces to collect bodies did take place between the other Allies and the Nazis.
And, on another note, minor localized and time-limited ceasefires to allow for the collection of bodies from the field of battle are completely reasonable. Families on both sides need to know what happened to and put to rest their loved ones.
In places where the front lines are static, there is little alternative to such measures. In places where the front lines are moving, no such ceasefires would be necessary or implemented.

A key point that appears to be lost even on some Russian sources—and definitely on all of the Western media:
Russia will be sending 6,000 bodies of Ukrainian officers back to the Ukraine.
Not “soldiers” or “servicemen,” but officers.

It would be surprising if he meant something other than “officers,” given his second statement, as the Ukraine most likely has some bodies of Russian soldiers, even if not as many.
