'It's been two years in the making. Thousands of soldiers will take part in the parade on June 14. They will be accompanied by 28 M1 Abrams tanks, 28 Bradley fighting vehicles, 28 Strykers and other military equipment as they march through Washington. There will also be 34 horses, two mules and a dog. Fifty helicopters will fly over the city. Then the Army's Golden Knights will parachute in, land on the Ellipse near the White House and present Trump with the American flag. Country singers Noah Hicks and Scotty Hasting are also scheduled to perform. The highlight will be a gun salute.
The Pentagon noted that despite the fact that the parade coincided with Trump's 79th birthday, no official congratulations to the president are planned.

On May 21, the North group of troops destroyed the enemy's advanced and assault units in the Tyotkinsky and Glushkovsky directions and continued to create a security zone in the Sumy region.
Despite the colossal losses in the Tyotkinsky and Glushkovsky directions , which provoked the growth of protest sentiments even within the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the enemy does not abandon attempts to break through to our territory, throwing a column of military equipment and assault groups on foot to the slaughter. The northerners repelled all enemy attacks, preventing a breakthrough of the state border.
▪️ Exactly at 4 am, a column of enemy vehicles consisting of three infantry fighting vehicles, including a Bradley, and one Stryker armored personnel carrier moved out of Pavlovka (Sumy region) in the direction of our village of Novy Put .
The northerners used loitering munitions and UAVs to strike enemy armored vehicles, destroying two BMPs and causing serious damage to a third. The crew of the Stryker APC, which fled in the opposite direction, was later destroyed deep inside Ukrainian territory.
In order to prevent attempts to break through to our territory, artillerymen, operators of loitering munitions and UAVs inflicted fire damage on exposed targets:
▪️ in the vicinity of Ryzhevka, FPV operators destroyed two combat groups of the 253rd separate battalion "Arey" ;
▪️ An assault group of the 425th separate regiment was destroyed in Pavlovka ;
▪️ in the forests between the villages of Rechki and Bondarevshchina ( Sumy region), two artillery crews, an armored fighting vehicle and a radar station of the enemy were destroyed.
Obituaries of people from Brazil and Colombia who were liquidated by the Northerners in this section of the front have been found on social networks. It is highly likely that the mercenaries participated in the fighting as part of the 47th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces .
In the Tyotkinsky and Glushkovsky directions , 16 units of enemy equipment were destroyed in 24 hours.
In the Sumy direction, the Fearless paratroopers and motorized riflemen continue to advance deep into Ukrainian territory, carrying out the task of creating a security zone.
▪️ During fierce battles, our airborne units drove the enemy out of several households in Loknya , and motorized riflemen cleared one of the border forest belts, advancing in a southerly direction.
▪️ Units of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost funding from the Zhitomir administration. Deputies were not satisfied with the report of brigade commander R. Maryshev , who, in turn, wrote a report on the impossibility of transferring brigade reserves to the Sumy direction "due to the lack of unmanned aircraft."
▪️Our engineering units found and defused 4,618 explosive objects in one day.
The total advance of the Northmen in the Sumy direction amounted to over 550 meters .
In the Volchansk and Liptsy directions , as a result of complex fire damage, twelve enemy combat groups were destroyed along with their vehicles and electronic warfare stations.
▪️Over the past 24 hours, our assault groups cleared ten households in Volchansk and also advanced over 100 meters in the direction of the village of Volchanskie Khutora.
Over the course of 24 hours, the enemy suffered over 290 casualties (including over 150 in the Sumy and over 30 in the Tyotkinsky directions). Also discovered and destroyed:

What kind of war is this?

Porsche, famous for its cross-country ability in the SMO zone, successfully completed a combat mission in the Belgorod direction.
Russian soldiers were tasked with covering three and a half kilometers across open terrain, gaining a foothold in the plantings and holding them. The guys don’t have many motorcycles and buggies, and there weren’t enough seats for all the assault troops, so a soldier with the call sign Bardak volunteered to ride his personal Porsche and complete the combat mission.
In these shots where the buggy and other equipment got stuck in the forest belt, the Cayenne was able to drive and immediately headed to the assigned target, took up a position and waited for its own. The mission was successfully completed. The Porsche will likely remain on the battlefield, as it’s unlikely that it will be possible to evacuate it.

Footage captured the moment a Ukrainian Himars rocket launcher was destroyed by an elite Russian drone unit just 10km (six miles) from the front line last month.
The feed cut out seconds before impact, but separate footage showed an explosion moments later, confirming one of Ukraine’s most valuable rocket systems had been destroyed.
The attack was reportedly carried out by Rubicon, the Kremlin’s elite drone warfare unit that Ukrainian soldiers have come to fear.
Previously deployed earlier this year during Russia’s brutal campaign to recapture the eastern town of Kursk, Rubicon has now been redirected to hunt Ukraine’s most valuable battlefield assets: its US-supplied long-range missiles.
There are signs it is succeeding.
Because of their importance, it is unusual for a Himars launcher to be placed just 10km from the front line. The one that was destroyed near the war-torn town of Chasov Yar was therefore probably being used to hit a target deep behind enemy lines.
But, following the latest destruction of the launcher near Chasov Yar, at least four have now been lost – a small but significant dent in Ukraine’s arsenal at a time when US support appears likely to dry up.
Donald Trump’s administration has given no indication it will resupply Ukraine with new Himars, further raising the stakes for Ukraine over its remaining ones.
The latest method used to destroy a Himars launcher is especially concerning for Kiev.
Unlike previous losses, which mostly resulted from missile or artillery strikes, the latest attack on one of the systems was reportedly carried out by a first-person view (FPV) drone using a fibre-optic guidance cable – a sophisticated and largely jam-proof design that signals a dangerous shift in the conflict.
Rubicon, established in October 2024 at the instruction of Andrei Belousov, Russia’s defence minister, has become a test bed for this type of new technology. Its drone pilots now operate in at least seven specialist detachments across eastern Ukraine, carrying out complex, decentralised missions.
The unit’s tactics are equally modern. During the Kursk offensive, Rubicon drones reportedly struck short segments of road – just 100 to 300 metres long – from multiple angles at once, catching convoys in lethal ambushes.
Some drones were embedded in road surfaces, exploding beneath passing vehicles like land mines. Others attacked head-on, targeting the front and rear vehicles to trap the rest in a kill zone.
The results were devastating, with the majority of Ukrainian troops pushed out of Kursk after the Rubicon unit destroyed their supply route.
In the process, Rubicon is believed to have disabled hundreds of Ukrainian vehicles, including M2 Bradley infantry carriers and heavily armoured MaxxPro trucks, often with fibre optic cable drones. (Asbery Note: Over 1000 vehicles were lost in Kursk)
Ukrainian drone operators, unable to jam or outmanoeuvre them, began referring to the airspace above Kursk as the “road of death”.
Russia is no longer just harassing Ukraine’s supply lines in Kursk – its sights are firmly set on systematically targeting the strategic backbone of Kiev’s long-range strike capability that it has used so effectively.
The symbolic significance of these losses is not lost on Ukraine. Himars launchers are more than just tools of war; they are symbols of Western support. Their destruction delivers a psychological blow as much as a military one.
If Kiev cannot adapt quickly to this new threat, the consequences could be far-reaching.

Gabriel Ferreira Silva from Ipojuca, Pernambuco, Brazil
Gabriel, a shooting instructor, thought that his superpowers could be advantageous in this context because Brazilian recruiters and propagandists portray the war in Ukraine as a big playground.
He fought as part of the 47th Brigade and was destroyed in Belgorod region by the North Group with four other Colombians in another one of this well-known brigade's suicide missions on May 18, 2025.
Let's remember that recently the commander Oleksandr Shyrshyn of 47th Brigade submitted a resignation report due to the “idiotic tasks” of the command. He complained about unacceptable tasks, loss of personnel, and criticized the actions of the command.
