A man asks him: What are you going to do with that cloth?

Strauss answers: I’m going to make tents .
The man says: I don’t need a tent, but I want a strong pair of pants. Look at my pants they’re full of holes
Levi makes a pair of pants from the strong cloth. The man is happy with the pants. They’re a big success. Soon everyone wants a pair of pants just like the man’s pair. Levi makes one more, ten more hundreds more thousands more. That’s the history of your jeans .

👈در زبان انگلیسی رایج ترین معادل برای عبارت "لباس شستن" عبارت "do the laundry" است البته از "wash the clothes "نیز می توان استفاده کرد اما این کمتر رایج است.

📒I usually do the laundry in the morning.
📒من معمولا لباس ها رو صبح می شورم.

‼️نکته: عبارت" do the laundry" مشخص نمی کند که شستن لباس با دست انجام می شود یا با ماشین لباس شویی؛ اگر گوینده بخواهد تاکید کند که کار شستن لباس با دست انجام می شود می تواند بعد از این عبارت از "by hand" استفاده کند، و اگر بخواهد تاکید کند که شستن لباس با ماشین لباس شویی انجام می شود می تواند از "by machine" بعد از این عبارت استفاده کند.

👈 نکته ای در خصوص کلمه advice:

کلمه "advice" همانطور که می دانید به معنی ‘توصیه، نصیحت’ هست. یکی از اشتباهات رایج در خصوص "advice"، جمع بستن آن است یعنی استفاده به صورت advices.

👈 اما از آنجایی که این کلمه غیر قابل شمارش است طبیعتا نمی توانیم آن را جمع ببندیم.

🧑‍🦰Thank you for your advice, sir.
🧑‍🦰از توصیه شما متشکرم آقا.

‼️اگر بخواهیم کلمه" advice" را به صورت جمع استفاده کنیم، به نحوی که به تعداد توصیه های مدنظر اشاره نکنیم، می توانیم از کلمه "some" قبل از آن استفاده کنیم.

🧑‍🦰My friend gave me some great advice.
🧑‍🦰دوستم توصیه های عالی ای به من کرد.
