❗️The relics of Dmitry Donskoy in the sarcophagus in the Kremlin's Archangel Cathedral have been almost completely preserved, the Russian Orthodox Church reported.

In July, during restoration and emergency repair work at the Archangel Cathedral, over the burial sites of the Grand Dukes, restorers discovered three sarcophagi, including Donskoy's sarcophagus .

Archaeological and anthropological research confirmed that the remains contained within belong to the holy and faithful Grand Duke. During the work, staff from the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences conducted scientific documentation of the burial.
