❗️While Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was cuddling up to his union mates at Labor’s National Conference in Adelaide, the Trump administration was moving to slap a 12.5% tariff on Australian goods, and the union movement was banking yet another win set to hammer retailers and their suppliers.

The Albanese Government, which already has a poor relationship with the Trump administration, now stands accused of allowing goods manufactured with forced labour to be shipped into Australia from China, among them products from consumer electronics, networking and appliance companies.

This is not a minor diplomatic spat. The US is treating inadequate forced labour controls as an unfair trade practice, and Australian exporters are the ones set to pay the price for Canberra’s inaction.

Кинокомпания «Парадигма» продолжает работу над четырехсерийным биографическим документально-художественным фильмом «Десантный батюшка». Картина посвящена Герою России, протоиерею Михаилу Васильеву, погибшему при исполнении пастырского долга. Выход проекта на экраны запланирован на 6 ноября 2026 года — к четвертой годовщине гибели священника.

Зимой и весной текущего года команда проекта вела активную работу над его документальной частью. Режиссер и операторы записали интервью примерно с 30 героями: членами семьи отца Михаила (супругой Марией, матерью Татьяной Константиновной, сестрой Ольгой, сыновьями Дмитрием и Германом, тетей Людмилой Константиновной), его друзьями, сослуживцами, единомышленниками и представителями военного духовенства. В их числе — командующий РВСН Николай Соловцов, генерал ВДВ Владимир Шаманов, член-корреспондент РАН Егор Прохорчук, протоиерей Андрей Милкин и многие другие.

География съемок охватила сразу несколько регионов России. Интервью записывались в Москве, Подмосковье (включая поселок Власиха и Звенигород), Лодейном Поле Ленинградской области, Ржеве и других городах. На более раннем этапе, летом 2025 года, кинематографисты также отсняли масштабные исторические реконструкции, которые воссоздают ключевые эпизоды службы отца Михаила в горячих точках.

Проект осуществляется при поддержке Президентского фонда культурных инициатив @pfci_grants.

Режиссером фильма стала Елена Пискарева. Она знала протоиерея лично, а их общий духовник — протоиерей Дмитрий Смирнов — в свое время и благословил отца Михаила на служение в армии. За визуальную часть проекта отвечают оператор реконструкций Максим Шинкоренко и оператор документальных интервью Михаил Блинцов. В настоящее время картина находится на монтажно-тонировочном этапе, параллельно ведутся финальные досъемки.

Двое австралийцев пересекли опасный пролив на самодельной барже с уличным туалетом, чтобы не платить за его доставку на остров Кенгуру. Алекс Крейг и Пол Грэм собрали плавучую платформу, установили на нее мотор, туалет и мангал, после чего около четырех часов добирались до острова вместо 45 минут на пароме. Во время поездки мужчины жарили ребрышки и сосиски, а туалет использовали по назначению. Обычная перевозка обошлась бы им более чем в 2000 австралийских долларов. Видео плавания стало вирусным спустя год после путешествия.
