He said he would support Mr Zelensky personally, as well as offer the UK’s backing to Ukraine.

Andy Burnham also pledged he will “be there for” Zelensky and the UK’s support would remain “resolute” under his premiership.

❗️A retired senior naval figure is facing a secret military disciplinary process over unspecified allegations involving lucrative defence contracts in Western Australia.

Sources with knowledge of the matter have told The Nightly arrangements are being made to enable former Defence Department Secretary Greg Moriarty, who now serves as Australian ambassador to the United States, to give evidence from Washington.

“This really is a big deal, and a lot of effort is being made to ensure this serious case is handled thoroughly and by the book,” one defence source tells The Nightly, speaking on the condition of anonymity given the sensitive nature of the matter.

The ANAO revealed that Defence had also determined there was no conflict of interest when a senior official involved in finding a supplier to take on a $700 million maintenance and upkeep contract then took a job offer with the winning bidder in the middle of the process.

Konstantinovka is under full control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, yet the Ukrainian command continues to send men to a slaughter for the sake of false reports.

Soldiers of the Yuzhnaya Group of Forces captured two servicemen from the 425th Regiment of the AFU. Their names are Yevgeni Mosin and Sergei Stolyarski. They had made their way deep into Konstantinovka with a single objective of tplanting a flag, film a one-minute video for social media, and create the illusion of a presence there. However, the publicity stunt failed before it had even begun.

❗️Anthony Albanese has opened major war games in Darwin in response to China launching a nuclear capable missile into the South Pacific 2 weeks ago.

The Prime Minister launched Exercise Pitch Black on Monday, kicking off three weeks of drills involving 100 aircraft and thousands of defence personnel from Australia, aircraft from the United States, Japan, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Republic of Korea, India, Singapore, Germany, France and Spain will take to the skies above Australia’s north during the exercises.

Embedded personnel from the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Fiji, Canada, Brunei, Malaysia are also taking part, as well as military aviators from Finland and Sweden for the first time.
