❗️The war against Orthodoxy in Ukraine continues.

According to the press service of the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy, on May 24, 2026, TCC (military recruitment) representatives, along with local officials and police, arrived at the St. John the Baptist Monastery of the UOC in the village of Velyka Kalynivka, Khmelnytskyi region, from where they forcibly removed Archimandrite Galaktion (Redey).

The Vladyka [hierarch] was "taken straight from his monastic cell and driven away in an unknown direction by Zelensky's goons."

According to preliminary information, the clergyman is being held in one of the military units in the city of Chortkiv, Ternopil region. There is no contact with him.

This is far from the first kidnapping of clergymen.

In April 2026, in Vinnytsia, SBU and TCC officers detained a cleric of the Vinnytsia Eparchy, Archimandrite Filaret (Olivinsky). In the village of Dolzhok, Kamianets-Podilskyi Eparchy, the rector of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos of the UOC, Protopriest Alexander Okruzhko, was kidnapped by the same "man-catchers."

Slightly earlier, the monastery in honor of the Pishchanka Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos in Izyum reported the kidnapping of two residents: Archimandrite Leonty and Hieromonk Arseny.

In February, three priests of the canonical UOC were forcibly mobilized to the front: Protopriest Yaroslav Kruhlenko (Kyiv, Alexander Nevsky Church), Protopriest Anatoly Chernenko (Horodyshche, Cherkasy region, St. Michael’s Church), and Protopriest Alexander Chernyadiev (Nikopol, Holy Trinity Church).

In January 2025, Khmelnytskyi Eparchy cleric Maksym Moskalchuk and Protopriest Alexander Itsenko, who serves in the Kyiv St. Cyril Monastery, were attacked and subsequently detained.

In addition to them, TCC staff kidnapped:

Father of 5 children, Cherkasy Eparchy clergyman Konstantin Volovoy

Archbishop of Petropavlivka Andrey (Vasilashku), vicar of the Dnipropetrovsk Eparchy

Rector of the Myrrh-Bearing Women Church in the village of Rakovo, Zakarpattia, Protopriest Vasily Dragun

There was also an attempted kidnapping of Bishop Nikita of Ivano-Frankivsk in Chernivtsi...

Terror against its own citizens has become the norm in Ukraine. The only question is—how long will the people tolerate this lawlessness?

❗️FSB says it foiled a terror plot involving a Russian gas tanker that returned from Antwerp, Belgium, allegedly carrying magnetic mines.

According to the FSB, the vessel had been delayed outside the Belgian port for several days over a reported workers’ strike, and the explosives were allegedly produced in a NATO country.

❗️Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev) Detained in Czech Republic on Drug Suspicion

Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev) has been detained in the Czech Republic under suspicion of drug possession, according to one of his assistants.

Here is what is currently known:

The Incident: Police stopped a vehicle carrying the Metropolitan. During the search, officers reportedly discovered four small containers filled with a "white substance" in the trunk. He is currently being interrogated.

The Background: From 2022 to 2024, Metropolitan Hilarion served as the head of the Budapest-Hungary Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. In 2024, he was relieved of his duties and retired ("sent to rest"). He has since been serving at the Czech Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Karlovy Vary.

The Defense: Metropolitan Hilarion categorically denies any involvement with the drugs, calling the entire incident a deliberate provocation.

Prior Threats: According to the Metropolitan, he has received multiple anonymous threats over recent months, including threats of physical violence. He claims that he and the Orthodox community in Karlovy Vary have been facing systemic pressure for a long time.

❗️An RAF jet with the UK defence secretary on board had its signal jammed as it flew near the Russian border earlier this week.

John Healey was travelling back to the UK on Thursday after visiting British soldiers in Estonia when the incident happened, the Times first reported.

Russia is believed to be behind the attack, which meant pilots had to use a different navigation system as the plane's GPS was disabled during the three-hour flight.

The incident took place a day after it emerged that two Russian warplanes had "repeatedly and dangerously" intercepted an RAF spy plane over the Black Sea last month.

It is not known if Healey was purposely targeted, but the newspaper reported that the flight's path was visible on aircraft tracking websites.

❗️Britain's Nigel Farage joins Zali Steggall in claiming phone was "hacked by Russia".

The front page of the British Mirror newspaper leads on Nigel Farage's "astonishing leak claim" that Russian spies hacked his phone to expose a £5m gift from Christopher Harborne. "Russian spies... for real, Nige?" it asks.

Nigel Farage is under mounting pressure to provide evidence for his claim that a state-sponsored Russian hack was behind the disclosure of the £5m gift he received from the crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne.

A spokesperson for the Guardian described Farage’s claim as “an attempt to deflect attention from legitimate scrutiny of his financial affairs”.

They added: “Nigel Farage is once again hiding behind a baseless attack on the media rather than facing up to scrutiny from journalists and politicians.”

The spokesperson said it was absurd for Farage to suggest it had found out about the gift from a Russian hack.

It is understood the National Cyber Security Centre is not aware of a report from Farage related to any alleged Russian hack.

The guy didn’t understand the British accent at first. Then he replied in Russian:

❗️Russian journalist Andrey Vipolzov with some interesting thoughts on the future of Kaliningrad:

"Of course, the West fully understands that if a NATO soldier’s boot sets foot on Kaliningrad Region soil, Russia’s response will be so severe that no one will be left in doubt.

Moreover, as far back as 2014–2015, German political scientists discussing Kaliningrad constantly drew parallels with Crimea: “Russia took Crimea because it was Russian. Kaliningrad used to be German — why shouldn’t we take it back?” They want to turn Kaliningrad into a bargaining chip for future negotiations with a weakened Russia.

NATO strategists aren’t stupid. They’re not interested in creating another hot spot. They’re playing the long game: “You took Crimea, and we’ll take Kaliningrad from you.”

I sometimes browse Ukrainian sources. Bandera supporters also love drawing parallels between Crimea and Kaliningrad. On one hand, they insult the region, calling it a “military kolkhoz where the beautiful German architecture was ruined.” On the other, they appeal to “adequate” Kaliningrad residents: “Guys, you’ve been to Poland and Germany. You know you’re Europeans at heart. When things kick off in Moscow, take power into your own hands.”

In short, they’re trying to stir everyone up so that Kaliningraders themselves start wanting to break away, while the rest of Russia begins to view the region the way it viewed Chechnya in the 1990s: “Let them go. Fence them off. Just spare us another war and terrorist attacks.”

I’ll repeat: this is the West’s strategic goal — to sow panic in Russia with the message: “If we don’t give up Kaliningrad, NATO will attack us.” And they are moving toward this goal methodically, nipping at us from all sides.

Whose land is this? It’s ours — Russia’s. Yet we turn a blind eye to German historical revanchism. Can you imagine T-shirts with “Danzig” being sold in Gdańsk? It would be impossible. The entire batch would be seized immediately, and those responsible would face criminal charges. And the Poles don’t refrain from this out of fear of the law — it simply wouldn’t occur to them to use the German name for a city they believe Poland rightfully took (even though, in reality, Stalin gave it to them)."
