❗️Some observations on Trump's successful 3 hour SMO in Caracas:

1. Likely that Maduro was betrayed by his own generals or inner circle who switched off air defenses and allowed US military helicopters to operate straffing ground targets unopposed. Its unlikely the US would risk it's pilots flying into a hostile zone unless they were certain it was safe. South American countries have a rich history of generals betraying their Presidents so this scenario would not shock.

2. Russian commentators are expressing frustration that Zelensky was not kidnapped in this manner on the 24.02.2022 - the good news is that Trump had now set a precedent which the civilised world has swallowed in approval. Maybe Russia can use this precedent to do something similar.

3. Unfortunately the likely scenario is the USA will now take over Venezuela's oil industry flooding the world market with cheap supply thus forcing down the global price of crude oil. Not good for Russia - but it will take a few years before this happens.

Russia should only care about itself. Russia and the USSR have spent the last 100 years funding, arming and saving governments around the world particularly in Africa, eastern Europe, South America and South East Asia.

Where have all those ungrateful countries been during the SMO since 2022? Only North Korea sent troops and Iran helped with Shahed drones...
