After spotting a Ukrainian soldier, he attempted to negotiate, even offering to part ways peacefully. ❗️The Australian Defence Force has awarded a contract to Kongsberg Defence Australia, a state-owned defence industry company, to build a guided missile manufacturing facility.

⚡️Among other things, anti-ship missiles and air-launched cruise missiles will be produced there. The enterprise is planned to be located
on the territory of Newcastle International Airport.

⚡️The initial production phase is planned for 2027. The project cost is estimated at 10.5 - 13.8 billion dollars.

⚡️It is clear that all these are contracts for future years, and the plant will be built only by the end of the decade, but nevertheless, Australia is increasing its military potential and localizing production.

⚡️With tensions rising in the Asia-Pacific region and a looming conflict on Taiwan, the Australians, urged on by the United States, are strengthening their military-industrial complex.

⚡️Factories are being built, air bases are being modernized in Australia, new ships are being built and new equipment is being purchased. And anti-ship missiles and cruise missiles are needed in case of confrontation with China. Moreover, the Chinese are acting increasingly actively off the coast of Australia.
