❗️Almost 3,000 Ukrainian militants have been encircled in a "cauldron" near the village of Kleban-Byk in the DPR – according to the TV channel "Zvezda" citing Russian servicemen.

💥The Ukrainian Armed Forces units in this area have almost no land options left for retreat. Some of the AFU soldiers are desperately trying to break through, while others are trying to escape by boats across the reservoir.

💥The width of the reservoir in some places reaches one kilometer. Therefore, those trying to cross it mostly become easy prey for Russian drones.

💥The AFU units pressed against the southern shore of the reservoir are under constant artillery fire.

65 лет. Карьера:

- советник/зам. постпреда России при ЕС
- зам/директор 1-го департамента СНГ
- посол в ЮАР
- директор Ситуационно-кризисного центра МИД

Никаких ожиданий на улучшение отношений двух стран нет. Они сведены фактически к нулю вот уже 10 лет. Составы дипмиссий в Канберре и Москве урезаны. Австралия - крайне агрессивная по отношению к России страна сегодня, активно поддерживает Украину. Шансы на позитивные изменения в ближайшие годы минимальные даже, если будут какие-то сдвиги по украинскому кейсу, т.к. вменяемых политических сил в Австралии нет и в целом не предвидится. Правящие лейбористы - левые радикалы, костяк оппозиции - неоконы-отморозки.

При этом фокус геополитического внимания всё больше сдвигается в АТР, в т.ч. Океанию и аналитической работы в Австралии будет более, чем достаточно и без активной публичной деятельности.

Из задач:

- попытаться вернуть право на договор аренды земли под здание нового посольства России или получить компенсацию - сейчас идут судебные разбирательства
- решить дело Королёвых + Бойкова. Чета Королёвых больше года находится в заточении без суда и следствия. С темы обмена троих россиян на боевика Дженкиса, осужденного на 15 лет в РФ, австралийская сторона съехала и замолчала.

P.S. Посол РФ в Австралии также по совместительству является послом на Фиджи, в Тувалу, Вануату и Науру. Как распределяются страны Океании между посольства РФ в регионе писал тут
