What is known at the moment:

▫️ The plane took off from Ahmedabad airport at 13:38 local time and crashed 5 minutes after takeoff, not far from the runway.

▫️ There were 242 people on board. The number of dead and injured has not yet been officially confirmed.

▫️ Ahmedabad airport is closed until further notice, all flights have been cancelled or diverted.

▫️ Air India's official statement is expected soon.

▫️ Ambulance crews, fire crews and rescuers were urgently sent to the scene
