❗️An Indian-born doctor has applied for bail after being charged with allegedly raping and sexually assaulting female patients at a clinic in Ipswich, Queensland.

General practitioner Dushyant Kumar Singh, who graduated from medical school in Nepal, has been behind bars since being charged earlier this month with 35 offences, including rape, sexual assault, torture, supply dangerous drugs and attempting to pervert justice.

❗️A Queensland builder who joined the Ukrainian Foreign Legion before he went missing in April has been sentenced 'in absentia' by a Russian court.

The 25-year-old from Gladstone is believed to have died last month after being hit by artillery fire in a contested territory near the city of Izyum, in the Kharkiv region, though his body has not been found.
