🇺🇸U.S. President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he will impose a 25% tariff increase on imports of cars and auto parts not manufactured in the United States .

These new tariffs on vehicles will take effect on April 2, and companies importing vehicles in their entirety must pay them the following day. Importers of parts will pay the tariffs starting around May.
