Some European Union countries vigorously object to the utilization of Russia’s assets frozen in the West for Ukraine’s requirements, top EU diplomat Kaja Kallas said.

“When it comes to the frozen Russian assets, we are in talks with the 27 member states. We are making arrangements as there are certain risks and we need to find a way to address them. Besides, some countries are vehemently opposed to it,” she pointed out in an interview with Estonia's ERR broadcaster.

The Estonian Parliament has passed a bill aimed against the Estonian Orthodox Christian Church, the ERR portal reports.

The version of the Estonian law approved by parliament obliges the EOCC to change its charter, leaving the subordination of the Moscow Patriarchate. Otherwise, in two months, the Estonian Ministry of Internal Affairs will be able to file a lawsuit to liquidate Orthodox parishes as legal entities.
