How tgBTC Can Expand Opportunities on TON 🪙
At The Gateway, representatives of TON Foundation and RSquad Blockchain Lab announced TON Teleport BTC decentralized bridge and tgBTC token, an original wrapped BTC on TON.
Why is tgBTC better than the existing jWBTC?
🪙 jWBTС is a wrapped WBTC from Ethereum. It comes with drawbacks: transferring BTC is complex, and its only potential liquidity source on TON is WBTC holders on Ethereum. As a result, jWBTC has low capitalization of $360,000 and just $100 in daily trading volume.
For comparison, original WBTC on Ethereum — with all BTC holders as its potential liquidity source — has a market cap of $13 billion and an average daily trading volume of $400 million.
By contrast, the native USDT on TON, thanks to its integration with over 100 centralized platforms, expanded its liquidity potential to all USDT holders on centralized exchanges, regardless of the network. In six months, the native USDT on TON reached a market cap of $1.2 billion, placing TON fourth in USDT issuance among all blockchains.

Instant TON withdrawal: how Tonstakers makes staking convenient 🗃
Typically, withdrawing funds from liquid staking takes hours: the service waits for validators to return the staked tokens and only then transfers them back to users. Sometimes instant withdrawal is available, but it comes with an extra fee that can exceed the rewards earned.
With Tonstakers, you can forget about this: instant withdrawal is available to all users without any additional fees.
🎨 How does instant withdrawal work in Tonstakers?
When staked, TON goes into Tonstakers pool. At the start of a new validation cycle, the protocol sends all TON from the pool to the validators, who then stake them and return them with rewards. During the cycle, TON cannot be added to or removed from the validators.
Newly deposited TON in the pool do not participate in staking until the start of the next cycle. Tonstakers uses them as liquidity for instant withdrawals.
Instant unstaking of TON is only possible if there’s enough liquidity in the pool to process the request. If liquidity is insufficient, you’ll need to wait for new TON deposits into the pool or use regular unstaking at the end of the cycle.
