Inhabitants of Jannah
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن صهيب رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال
إذا دخل أهل الجنة -الجنة- يقول الله تبارك وتعالى: تريدون شيئاً أزيدكم؟ فيقولون: ألم تبيض وجوهنا؟ ألم تدخلنا الجنة وتنجنا من النار؟ فيكشف الحجاب، فما أعطو شيئاً أحب إليهم من النظر إلى ربهم
رواه مسلم، ١٨١
Suhaib (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
When the inhabitants of Jannah enter Jannah, Allah, the Glorious and Exalted, will say to them: 'Do you wish me to give you anything more?' They will reply: 'Have You not made our faces bright? Have You not brought us into Jannah and delivered us from the Hell?' And Allah will remove the Veil. The (dwellers of Jannah) will feel that they have not been awarded anything dearer to them than looking at their Lord.

عن أبي ذر رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
إنه من قام مع الإمام حتى ينصرف كتب له قيام ليلة
رواه الترمذي، ٨٠٦ وقال حديث حسن صحيح وصححه الألباني في صحيح الترمذي
It was narrated from Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
Indeed, whoever stands (praying) with the Imam until he finishes, then it is recorded for him that he prayed the whole night.
Narrated by at-Tirmidhi, 806 and At-Tirmidhi said this is hadith is Hasan Sahih. Classed as Sahih by Al-Albani in Sahih At-Tirmidhi
Fasting in the Month of Ramadhan
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
” مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ ”.
رواه البخاري، ٣٨
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said,
Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah’s rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven.

Hypocrisy
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
أَرْبَعٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ كَانَ مُنَافِقًا خَالِصًا وَمَنْ كَانَتْ فِيهِ خَلَّةٌ مِنْهُنَّ كَانَتْ فِيهِ خَلَّةٌ مِنْ نِفَاقٍ حَتَّى يَدَعَهَا إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ وَإِذَا عَاهَدَ غَدَرَ وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ وَإِذَا خَاصَمَ فَجَرَ ” .
رواه مسلم، ٥٨
It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin ‘Amr that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“There are four (characteristics), whoever has all of them is a complete hypocrite, and whoever has some of them has some element of hypocrisy , unless he gives it up: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a treaty, he betrays it; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; when he quarrels, he resorts to insults”

Imam Should Be Brief When Leading Prayer
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
وعن أبى مسعود عقبة بن عمرو البدرى رضي الله عنه قال:
جاء رجل إلى النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: إنى لأتأخر عن صلاة الصبح من أجل فلان مما يطيل بنا! فما رأيت النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم غضب في موعظة قط أشد مما غضب يومئذ، فقال: “يا أيها الناس: إن منكم منفرين، فأيكم أم الناس فليوجز، فإن من ورائه الكبير والصغير وذا الحاجة
متفق عليه، أخرجه البخاري ٧٠٤ و مسلم ٤٦٦
Abu Mas’ud ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amr Al-Badri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: “I join the morning Salat late because of so-and-so who leads it and prolongs it.” (Abu Mas’ud said): I have never seen the Prophet (ﷺ) so angry while giving a speech as he was on that day. He (ﷺ) said, “Some of you create hatred among the people against faith. Whoever leads Salat (the prayer), should make it brief because the congregation includes old men and youngsters and those who have some urgent work to do.”

The Month of Rajab
From Quran
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ ٱلشُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِى كِتَـٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ مِنْهَآ أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا۟ فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ
التوبة/36 .
Verily, the number of months with Allâh is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allâh on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are Sacred (i.e. the 1st, the 7th, the 11th and the 12th months of the Islâmic calendar). That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein.
At-Tawbah 9:36
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أبي بكرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ، قال :
الزمان قد استدار كهيئة يوم خلق السموات والأرض ، السنة اثنا عشر شهرا منها أربعة حرم : ثلاثة متواليات : ذو القعدة ، وذو الحجة ، والمحرم ، ورجب مضر ، الذي بين جمادى وشعبان
رواه البخاري ٤٤٠٦ و مسلم ١٦٧٩
Narrated Abu Bakrah: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
Time has returned to its original order as it was on the day when Allah created the heavens and the earth. The year is twelve months, of which four are sacred: three consecutive months, Dhu’l-Qa‘dah, Dhu’l-Hijjah and Muharram, and Rajab of Mudar, which comes between Jumaada and Sha‘baan.
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 4406 and Muslim, 1679
Greeting Children
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أنس رضي الله عنه أنه مر على صبيان فسلم عليهم وقال:
كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يفعله
متفق عليه، أخرجه البخاري، ٦٢٤٧ و مسلم ٢١٦٨
Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) passed by some young boys and greeted them (by saying As-salamu ‘alaikum to them). Then he said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to do the same.
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 6247 and Muslim, 2168
Piety and Sin
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن النواس بن سمعان رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
البر حسن الخلق، والإثم ما حاك فى نفسك، وكرهت أن يطلع عليه الناس
رواه مسلم، ٢٥٥٣
An-Nawwas bin Sam’an (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“Piety is good manner, and sin is that which creates doubt and you do not like people to know of it.”

Remembering Death
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
أَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ هَاذِمِ اللَّذَّاتِ
رواه الترمذي، ٢٣٠٧
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
“Increase in remembrance of the severer of pleasures.” Meaning death.
Narrated by Tirmidhi, 2307
Charity
From Quran
وَمَا تُنفِقُوا۟ مِنۡ خَیۡرࣲ فَلِأَنفُسِكُمۡۚ وَمَا تُنفِقُونَ إِلَّا ٱبۡتِغَاۤءَ وَجۡهِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَمَا تُنفِقُوا۟ مِنۡ خَیۡرࣲ یُوَفَّ إِلَیۡكُمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تُظۡلَمُونَ
سورة البقرة : ٢٨٢
And whatever good you [believers] spend is for yourselves, and you do not spend except seeking the countenance of Allah . And whatever you spend of good - it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.
Surah Al-Baqarah: 272
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
ما نقصت صدقة من مال، وما زاد الله عبداً بعفو إلا عزاً، وما تواضع أحد لله إلا رفعه الله عز وجل
رواه مسلم، ٢٥٨٨
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
Wealth is not diminished by giving (in charity). Allah augments the honour of one who forgives; and one who displays humbleness towards another seeking the pleasure of Allah, Allah exalts him in ranks.

Wealth: The Fitnah of This Ummah

عن كعب بن عياض، رضي الله عنه، وقال سمعت رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم ، يقول:
إن لكل أمة فتنة، وفتنة أمتى المال
رواه الترمذي، ٢٣٣٦ وقال: حديث حسن صحيح
Ka’b bin ‘Iyad (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
Verily, there is a Fitnah (trial) for every nation and the trial for my nation (or Ummah) is wealth.
Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, 2336 who classified it as Hadith Hasan Sahih

[Important Reminder] Zakaatul Fitr
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ
فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ وَالْحُرِّ، وَالذَّكَرِ وَالأُنْثَى، وَالصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَأَمَرَ بِهَا أَنْ تُؤَدَّى قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ النَّاسِ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ
رواه البخاري، ١٥٠٣
Narrated Ibn Umar:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) enjoined the payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the Id prayer.
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 1503
*What is meant by a saa’ here is the saa’ of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), which is four times the amount that may be held in the two hands of a man of average build.

Standing in Prayers at Night in Ramadhan
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
مَن قام رمضان إيماناً واحتساباً غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه
متفق عليه، رواه البخاري (٣٧)، ومسلم (٧٥٩).
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
Whoever prays at night in Ramadaan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 37; Muslim, 759.
Eating From What is Infront of One
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن عمر بن أبى سلمة رضى الله عنهما قال: كنت غلاماً في حجر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وكانت يدي تطيش في الصحفة، فقال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:
يا غلام سم الله تعالى، وكل بيمينك،وكل مما يليك
متفق عليه، أخرجه البخاري, ٥٣٧٦ و مسلم، ٢٠٢٢
Umar bin Abu Salamah (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: I was a boy under the care of Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and as my hand used to wander around in the dish, he (ﷺ) said to me once,
“Mention Allah’s Name (i.e., say Bismillah), eat with your right hand, and eat from what is in front of you.”
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 5376 and Muslim, 2022
Obligation to Listen and Obey the Rulers in Matters That Are Not Sinful
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما عن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم قال
على المرء المسلم السمع والطاعة فيما أحب وكره، إلا أن يؤمر بمعصية، فإذا أمر بمعصية فلا سمع ولا طاعة
متفق عليه، أخرجه البخاري، ٧١٤٤ و مسلم، ١٨٣٩
Ibn ‘Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
It is obligatory upon a Muslim to listen (to the ruler) and obey whether he likes it or not, except when he is ordered to do a sinful thing; in such case, there is no obligation to listen or to obey
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 7144 and Muslim, 1839
The Just
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
إن المقسطين عند الله على منابر من نور: الذين يعدلون في حمكهم وأهليهم وما ولوا
رواه مسلم، ١٨٢٧
Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin Al-‘as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
“The just will be seated upon pulpits of light.” Those who are fair with regards to their judgement and their family and those who are under them.”
Narrated by Muslim, 1827
Controlling Anger
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أبى هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال
ليس الشديد بالصرعة، إنما الشديد الذى يملك نفسه عند الغضب
متفق عليه، أخرجه البخاري ٦١١٤ و مسلم ٢٦٠٩
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
The strong man is not the one who wrestles, but the strong man is in fact the one who controls himself in a fit of rage
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 6114 and Muslim, 2609
Make Things Easy and Do Not Make Them Difficult
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أنس رضي الله عنه عن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم قال
يسروا ولا تعسروا وبشروا ولا تنفروا
متفق عليه، أخرجه البخاري ٦٩ و مسلم ١٧٣٤
Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
Make things easy and do not make them difficult, cheer the people up by conveying glad tidings to them and do not repulse (them).
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 69 and Muslim, 1734
What is Kibr (Arrogance)
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن عبد الله بن مسعود عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال
لا يدخل الجنة من كان في قلبه مثقال ذرة من كبر ، قال رجل : إن الرجل يحب أن يكون ثوبه حسناً ونعله حسنة ، قال : إن الله جميل يحب الجمال ، الكبر بطر الحق وغمط الناس
رواه مسلم ٩١
‘Abd-Allah ibn Mas’ud narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
No one will enter Paradise in whose heart is a mustard-seed of arrogance.” A man said: “What if a man likes his clothes to look nice and his shoes to look nice?” He said: “Allah is Beautiful and loves beauty; arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on people.”

Wishing on Oneself Death Because of Some Harm
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أنس رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
لا يتمنين أحدكم الموت لضر أصابه فإن كان لابد فاعلاً، فليقل: اللهم أحينى ما كانت الحياة خيراً لى، وتوفنى إذا كانت الوفاة خيراً لى
أخرجه البخاري، ٥٦٧١ و مسلم، ٢٦٨٠
Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
Let none of you wish for death on account of an affliction that befalls him. If he has no alternative, let him pray: ‘Allahumma ahyine ma kanatil-hayatu khairan li, wa tawaffani idha kanatil-wafatu khairan li (O Allah! Give my life so long as the life is good for me, and take away my life if death is good for me)’.
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 5671 and Muslim, 2680
Sharing Food
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
طعام الاثنين كافي الثلاثة، وطعام الثلاثة كافي الأربعة
متفق عليه، رواه البخاري، ٥٣٩٢ و مسلم، ٢٠٥٨
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
The food for two suffices for three; and the food for three suffices for four persons.
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 5392 and Muslim, 2058
Encouraging Earning a Living From the Work of Ones Hands Instead of Begging
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
لأن يحتطب أحدكم حزمة على ظهره، خير له من أن يسأل أحداً فيعطيه فيعطيه أو يمنعه
متفق عليه، رواه البخاري، ١٤٧٠ و مسلم، ١٠٤٢
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
It is better for anyone of you to carry a bundle of wood on his back and sell it rather than to ask someone who may or may not give him.
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 1470 and Muslim, 1042
Contentment
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
ليس الغنى عن كثرة العرض، ولكن الغنى غنى النفس
متفق عليه، رواه البخاري، ٦٤٤٦ و مسلم، ١٠٥١
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
Richness is not the abundance of wealth, rather it is self-sufficiency.
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 6446 and Muslim, 1051
The Day of Judgement
Hadith: Arabic Text followed by English Translation.
عن أبي برزة -براء ثم زاى- نضلة بن عبيد الأسلمى، رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:
"لا تزول قدما عبد يوم القيامة حتى يسأل عن عمره فيما أفناه ، وعن علمه فيما فعل فيه، وعن ماله من أين اكتسبه، وفيما أنفقه، وعن جسمه فيم أبلاه
رواه الترمذي، ٢٤١٧ وقاال: حديث حسن صحيح
Abu Barzah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
Man's feet will not move on the Day of Resurrection before he is asked about his life, how did he consume it, his knowledge, what did he do with it, his wealth, how did he earn it and how did he dispose of it, and about his body, how did he wear it out
Narrated by At-Tirmidhi, 2417 who classified it as Hadith Hasan Sahih
