“My daughter died because of the siege.” – People in Gaza continue to starve to death as the Israeli blockade on humanitarian aid remains uninterrupted for over two months.
According to the latest statement released by Gaza’s Media Office, at least 57 Palestinians — mostly children — have died due to malnutrition. The statement also condemned the “continued use of food by the Israeli occupation as a weapon of war,” and urged the international community to intervene.
This is the longest continuous total siege Israel has imposed since its genocidal war on Gaza began. According to UNRWA, more than 66,000 children in the Gaza Strip are suffering from severe malnutrition “due to the starvation policy that Israel continues to implement.”
Israel is blocking the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip, including food, water, medicine, and other essential supplies. Despite international condemnation, no country has chosen to airdrop humanitarian aid into the Strip, as happened during the first blockade in 2024.
🟡 BREAKING: Israel has issued displacement orders for Yemeni people near Sana'a International Airport in preparation for airstrikes. This marks the first time Israel has issued such orders for Yemen.
After joining the US-led assault on Yemen last night, Israel has reaffirmed its intention to continue participating in the offensive today.
Anti-communist erasure of history is working at full speed in Eastern Europe. A few days before the 80th anniversary of the Red Army’s victory over the Wehrmacht in Berlin, we look back at the escalation of destruction of Soviet monuments under “de-communization” laws.
Around 4,000 such monuments were erected in European countries after World War II to commemorate the sacrifice of the Red Army soldiers — while 3,000 have been pulled down to date — according to the Russia-based “Never Forget” project.

Fascist football hooligans from Club Brugge came to Brussels to terrorize a working-class, migrant neighborhood but got run off the streets. On Sunday, around 800 far-right supporters stormed metro stations, looted stores, chanted racist slurs, and attacked residents in Molenbeek and Jette ahead of the Belgian Cup final, targeting people of foreign origin. But the neighborhood fought back. Videos show local youths confronting, chasing, and beating the invaders, driving them out of the streets they tried to claim.
Despite knowing these supporters are widely associated with racism and violence, two Molenbeek residents, both Muslim women and one a Syrian asylum seeker, stopped to assist an injured Bruges supporter. They called an ambulance, offered water, and stayed with him until help arrived.

🟡 NEW: Israel has approved a plan to seize complete control of the Gaza Strip and hold it indefinitely. The plan, which was unanimously approved by the Israeli Cabinet, aims to intensify military operations in Gaza gradually.
The plan was approved despite warnings from the army chief, who reportedly told ministers that “this could endanger the hostages held there.” According to Israeli sources, the new plan will be implemented gradually after US President Trump’s visit to the region next week.
The plan also includes the forced displacement of Palestinians from the northern to the southern part of the Strip. Additionally, Israel plans to implement a new strategy for controlling the distribution of humanitarian aid, with backing from the US.
This comes as Israel continues to enforce a total blockade on essential supplies for the 65th consecutive day. The UN has already announced it will not cooperate with Israel’s new aid delivery plan, stating that “it contravenes fundamental humanitarian principles.”

Venezuela’s government has launched a campaign demanding the return of two-year-old Maikelys Espinoza Bernal, who remains in US custody after both her parents were deported without her.
Her parents were accused of being “gang members” without any evidence or criminal charges. Her mother was deported to Venezuela, while her father, was sent to El Salvador and imprisoned indefinitely without charge in the notorious CECOT prison.
The Venezuelan government’s campaign, using the hashtag #FreeMaikelyEspinoza, denounces the forced separation as a violation of human rights and international norms. President Maduro has condemned Trump’s policy of deporting people to El Salvador as a crime against humanity, calling CECOT a modern-day concentration camp.
President Maduro has promised to rescue the Venezuelans who are being held in concentration camps in El Salvador and the US. The remarks were made at yesterday’s May Day rally, in which he brought on stage the mother of Maikelys Espinoza.
“She suffers from malnutrition due to the blockade of Gaza.” People in Gaza are starving as Israel’s blockade of humanitarian aid surpasses 60 days.
Israel’s blockade on food, medicine, and other essential supplies is being described as “the harshest phase of the war so far.” While trucks carrying humanitarian aid remain blocked at the borders, the number of people at risk of dying from malnutrition continues to rise.
The UN's World Food Programme (WFP) announced last week that its food stocks in Gaza have been fully depleted after delivering the last of its supplies to local kitchens. Over 400,000 people in Gaza depend on WFP aid. Israel is not only killing people in Gaza through bombs, but also by imposing a blockade that leads to deaths from a lack of medicine and food.

Читать полностью…A far-right Trump ally just forced Romania’s prime minister to resign. Now he’s one step from the presidency. On Sunday, George Simion, founder and leader of Romania’s ultra-nationalist AUR party and self-declared MAGA disciple, won 40.5% of the vote in Romania’s first-round election. By Monday, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu had resigned, marking the collapse of the ruling government.
Simion vows to ban same-sex marriage, eliminate Holocaust education, cut military aid to Ukraine, and purge Europe of what he calls “neo-Marxist madness.” His nominee for prime minister, Călin Georgescu, is under investigation for building fascist networks and has described Romania’s wartime Nazi collaborators as “martyrs.”
Simion wants to reunite Romania with its pre–World War Two territories and has traveled to the US to build ties with Trump-aligned Republicans. In 2023, he met with Likud officials in Israel, endorsing West Bank settlements. He brands his political project simply: “family, nation, faith, and freedom.”
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has dismissed Sudan’s genocide case against the UAE.
In April, Sudan accused the UAE of being “complicit in the genocide in West Darfur” through its military, financial, and political support to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Although UN experts have considered the allegations credible, the ICJ dismissed the case due to lack of jurisdiction. While both Sudan and the UAE are signatories to the Genocide Convention, the UAE made a reservation upon accession, explicitly rejecting the Court’s jurisdiction.
The Court also rejected Sudan’s request for emergency measures and has removed the case from its docket. UN reports have documented the UAE’s funneling of weapons to the RSF, highlighting the deep and long-standing ties between the UAE and the paramilitary group. The UAE praised the ICJ ruling as a legal victory.
Meanwhile, the civil war in Sudan continues to rage. In recent days, several RSF drone attacks have struck multiple locations in Port Sudan.
🟡 BREAKING: Massive fires rage in Hodeidah, Yemen, following heavy US and Israeli bombings.
According to Israeli media, 30 Israeli warplanes are participating in the ongoing US-led assault on Yemen.
Israel's involvement follows a missile strike by Yemeni armed forces that targeted the area near Ben Gurion Airport.
In a statement issued yesterday, Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) spokesperson Yahya Saree announced: “In response to Israel's escalating aggression and its expanded military operations in Gaza, the YAF have declared a full air blockade on Israel.”
Yemen is being targeted due to its unwavering support for the people of Gaza. Despite the ongoing heavy bombardments, the YAF have declared that the attacks on Israel and the naval blockade will only cease once a ceasefire is guaranteed.
HTS-affiliated armed groups raided two nightclubs in Damascus, Syria, violently assaulting people and killing two women.
A recently released CCTV video documents the assault on the Layali Al-Sharq nightclub on April 29. Armed men stormed the club, forced patrons outside, and beat and whipped them at the exit.
Following widespread condemnation on social media, the Syrian Ministry of Interior issued a statement confirming the arrest of those involved.
Another attack took place last night at the Al-Karawan nightclub, using similar tactics. Armed men stormed the facility, opened fire, and killed two women, injuring several others.
Meanwhile, sectarian violence against minorities persists, along with the ongoing abduction and disappearance of individuals, particularly women.

Happy Birthday to the mastermind behind over a century of communist struggle, Karl Marx! Although Marx died in 1883, he left behind a legacy that sparked revolutions worldwide and remains the sharpest tool for the fight for liberation today: Marxism.
From the Soviet Union to China, through Africa to Latin America, across all continents, Marxism turned oppressive conditions upside down. Friedrich Engels, his closest comrade, once said of him: “Fighting was his element. And he fought with a passion, a tenacity, and a success such as few could rival.”
We’ve selected some of our favorite quotes from Marx’s works that are more relevant than ever. What are your favorites?

US intensifies further attacks against Yemen. Newly released footage from US Central Command (CENTCOM) shows support missions for US aircraft carriers in the Red Sea.
CENTCOM stated it has carried out more than 800 airstrikes against Yemen’s Ansarallah since mid-March. The US is acting in the interest of toppling the Ansarallah government, which predominantly governs Yemen.
Ansarallah is part of the Axis of Resistance in West Asia and is engaged, in solidarity with Palestine, in a low-intensity war with the Israeli occupation. Despite heavy US-led attacks, Yemen has not deviated from its political course.

Far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party is now officially designated as an extremist organization. The first time in modern German history that a nationally represented parliamentary party has received this label.
The decision was announced today by the German Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution. It follows extensive evidence that the AfD promotes ethnonationalist policies, seeks to exclude immigrants and Muslims from equal rights, and undermines core democratic principles.
While the classification escalates the political stakes, it does not ban the party—despite growing calls to do so. For many, the move comes too late: the AfD has already embedded itself in state institutions and normalized far-right politics across Germany.
In 2024, an investigation revealed that over 100 far-right extremists, including neo-Nazis, were hired as parliamentary staff by AfD MPs. These appointments embedded fascist networks in the German state funded by the public. Read that investigation here.
