Under the guise of combating antisemitism, Israel is rolling out the red carpet for some of the world's most notorious far-right extremists, nationalists, and apologists for dictatorship this March in Jerusalem.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will proudly host a disturbing lineup, including Javier Milei, Argentina’s libertarian president who openly praises brutal dictators; Marion Maréchal, granddaughter of the infamous Holocaustdenier Jean-Marie Le Pen; and Jordan Bardella, leader of France’s far-right Rassemblement National. Joining them are Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of Brazil's former president known for glorifying military dictatorship; Serbian ultra-nationalist Milorad Dodik; German conservative figure Armin Laschet; andprominent representatives from Patriots for Europe, a bloc notorious for its extremist views in the EU Parliament. Also attending is Stefan Tompson, a nationalist propagandist affiliated with Visegrad 24.

In the twisted logic of Netanyahu’s
Israel, apparently nothing says "fighting antisemitism," like invitingfar-right extremists, reactionary ideologues, and defenders of authoritarianism right into the heart of Jerusalem.

Read our investigation, “Europe’s Far Right’s Unwavering Support for Israel,” which examines how this alliance has strengthened in recent years.

The New Right could see Israel not only as a reliable ally but also as an example in many fields, such as the fight against radical Islam.

Journalists rally in solidarity after police fired a gas canister directly at photojournalist Pablo Grillo’s head. Now he's fighting for his life as outrage mounts across Argentina against Milei’s brutal crackdown. The union is demanding the resignation of Interior Minister Patricia Bullrich.

Grillo is a well-known photojournalist in Argentina and is currently in the hospital fighting for his life. Friends and family have spoken to the media and confirmed that he is in intensive care but haven’t provided detailed updates.

Bullrich is one of the most far-right figures in Milei’s cabinet and was appointed due to her long-standing stance on repressing leftist movements. Following mass anti-austerity protests on Wednesday, Bullrich announced that she would seek 20-year sentences for more than 150 protesters who were arrested.

Footage of the incident shows the brutal attack in real time. Watch here.

"We believe that the struggle to achieve liberation, Palestinian and Jewish liberation, is intertwined and it goes hand in hand" — listen to Mahmoud Khalil's words about the role of student movements for Palestine and their criminalization by the US establishment.

The Trump administration has promised to implement a campaign of criminalization and arrests targeting students involved in university mobilizations. Since the genocidal war on Gaza began, more than 130 encampments have been established at private and public schools across the US.

Since his arrest, people have been organizing protests and sit-ins to demand his release. Protesters have defined Mahmoud as a political prisoner, denouncing his detention as politically motivated. Amnesty International has described the arrest as an attack on human rights.

🟡 NEW: UN Accuses Israel of genocidal acts and systematic sexual violence.

A new report by a United Nations (UN) Commission of Inquiry accuses Israel of committing genocidal acts and systematic sexual and gender-based violence against Palestinians. According to the Commission, these acts are part of a strategy aimed at “dominating and destroying the Palestinian people.”

The report documents instances of rape and genital violence carried out under orders and with the encouragement of Israel’s civil and military leadership. It also details the systematic destruction of sexual and reproductive healthcare facilities, alongside a siege blocking humanitarian aid.

These actions, according to the UN, violate fundamental rights of women and girls, depriving them of their right to life, health, dignity, and self-determination. Palestinian women have died from pregnancy complications due to denied access to reproductive care—acts constituting the crime against humanity of extermination.

An Argentinian pensioner stands up to Milei’s riot police even as they shoot at her. The scenes were part of the mass mobilizations yesterday, where football fan groups joined retirees for their weekly protest against Milei’s pension cuts, which have plunged the elderly into poverty.

The protests began last year and take place every Wednesday, with yesterday’s being the largest yet. The reason behind the protests is Milei’s decision to freeze the state pension, despite runaway inflation of over 200% earlier this year. Freezing the state pension therefore led to a massive loss of its real-terms value, significantly reducing retirees' purchasing power.

The anti-communism of the Cold War era fueled the Mayan Genocide in Guatemala. The Río Negro massacres of 1982 saw the mass murder of Indigenous villagers who refused to be displaced by a World Bank-funded hydroelectric project. Despite committing some of the worst human rights abuses in the history of Central America, the institutions of the “democratic West” gave their full backing to the military dictatorship and never faced justice for it.

Milei’s libertarian government unleashed brutal police repression to stop anti-austerity protesters from reaching Congress. Yesterday, organized football fans joined elderly retirees for their weekly protest against Javier Milei’s cuts to pensions, one of the largest mobilizations yet against austerity in the country.

At least 150 protesters were arrested, with the far-right Interior Minister, Patricia Bullrich, announcing that detainees will face up to 20 years in prison. The government is using anti-mafia laws to charge opposition protesters, as Bullrich considers the leftist football fan groups to be criminal organizations.

Today is the anniversary of the Grenada Revolution. Listen to Maurice Bishop, the Grenadian socialist leader, explain why the US saw the Grenadian Revolution as a threat.

The vast majority of Grenada’s population is of African descent, and the country’s official language is English, allowing the revolutionary spirit to be spread more easily to the US.

Under Bishop’s premiership, the Grenadian government rolled out free public healthcare, reduced illiteracy, and fought for workers’ and women’s rights while combating imperialism and the apartheid regime in South Africa.

The UK’s Labour government has announced plans to cut £5 billion from disability benefits to boost spending on war and rearmament.

The previous Conservative government had already made deep cuts to disability benefits—reductions that Labour strongly opposed while in opposition. Now, in power, Labour is making further cuts to Personal Independence Payments, which support people with long-term health conditions and disabilities. Disability charities warn that these changes could push 700,000 disabled households into poverty.

Rather than investing in social services, these austerity measures are being used to finance a major expansion of Europe’s military spending and rearmament.

Phila Portia Ndwandwe is one of many female fighters in the South African anti-apartheid struggle who had been left out of the mainstream narrative. On March 12, 1997, Ndwandwe’s skeleton was unearthed in a field in KwaZulu-Natal. Here’s her story.

In 1988, apartheid security forces abducted Ndawndwe, torturing her in hopes of turning her into an informant. However, when Ndwandwe refused to betray her comrades, her captors shot her in the head and buried her in an unmarked grave.

It wasn’t until almost a decade later, until after the fall of apartheid, that her whereabouts were located. However, a compromise had been reached: perpetrators of political killings under apartheid would receive amnesty in return for full disclosure of their activities. Thus, Ndwandwe’s killers were granted amnesty, leaving the criminals unpunished.

🟡 NEW: Qatar allegedly funded Netanyahu's aides with hundreds of thousands of dollars.

An Israeli investigation is probing whether six-figure sums were funneled from Qatar to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s aides. The focus is on suspicions that advisers, including Eli Feldstein, Jonatan Urich, and Yisrael Einhorn, received funds to improve Qatar’s image in Israel. According to Israeli Channel 13, the funds were allegedly transferred indirectly through various intermediaries.

Today, an Israeli court imposed a 30-day gag order, prohibiting the publication of any details related to the investigation, including information on suspects or findings, across all media platforms.

This is not the first time Doha has funded Israel. Qatar has reportedly provided over $100 million to Netanyahu and his Likud Party to promote its policies. Trade relations between Qatar and Israel have continued, with Qatari gas exports to Israel persisting during the genocide.

🟡 BREAKING: Putin says he’s ready to stop the war—but only if it leads to lasting peace.

Earlier this week, US and Ukrainian officials met in Saudi Arabia and agreed on a 30-day ceasefire plan. Ukraine, which previously rejected negotiations as long as Putin remained in power, has now accepted the deal—along with a rare earth minerals agreement with Washington, despite earlier opposition.

The US took the proposal to Moscow, where Putin said he’s ready to stop the war but added, “Is the ceasefire going to be used to continue force mobilisation, to continue rearming, to continue supplies of weaponry, to allow military units to regroup?”

The US special envoy, Steve Witkoff, is now in Moscow to sort out the details. At the same time, Putin issued a warning to Ukrainians in Kursk: “There are two options—either die or be captured.”

Today marks five years since police murdered Black woman Breonna Taylor in cold blood. However, with no police officers ever having been charged with shooting and killing Taylor, her killers continue to walk freely.

In the middle of the night, plainclothes police officers stormed the 26-year-old Black medical worker’s apartment in Louisville, Kentucky. Police indiscriminately fired dozens of shots, five of which fatally hit Taylor.

The incident was riddled with controversies. The police officers made false claims to obtain the warrant, and during the raid, the police did not follow protocol. The subsequent police account included multiple errors.

The murder of Taylor sparked months of protests demanding the arrest of her killers and them being charged with murder. Yet, no officer has ever been charged with shooting Taylor, and only charging four police officers with federal civil rights violations. The only officer who faced federal charges in the raid was found “not guilty.”

🟡 NEW: Qatar will supply gas to Syria following US approval.

According to Reuters, Qatar is set to begin supplying Syria with gas via Jordan to help boost the country’s limited power supply. Syria will be one of the key transit countries in the Qatar-Türkiye Natural Gas Pipeline project, along with Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

The $10 billion pipeline project, originally proposed in 2009, was designed to transport Qatar’s vast natural gas reserves to European markets via Türkiye. However, the proposed route through Syria was never realized at the time due to regional instability and the former Syrian government’s opposition to the project. The realisation of the pipeline, backed by the US and its European and Gulf allies, would have weaken Europe’s dependence on Russia for its energy.

Although Mauritius gained independence from the UK on this day in 1968, parts of the island nation are still under occupation.

In the late 1960s, thousands of locals were forced to leave their homes by the US and the UK to make way for the construction of a US military base. Indigenous people later testified before the ICJ that US agents threatened residents who refused to leave.

🟡 BREAKING: Four Lebanese prisoners have been released by Israel as part of ongoing negotiations between the two countries.

The Lebanese government confirmed the arrival of the four prisoners, transported by the Red Cross. They had been abducted by the Israeli army from Lebanon between January and February.

Following US pressure, Israel and Lebanon have agreed to open negotiations to reach a broader agreement. The deal will address three key issues: the land border disputes between Israel and Lebanon, the fate of Lebanese prisoners held by Israel, and the conditions for Israel’s withdrawal from five outposts in southern Lebanon.

Tensions over border demarcation have further escalated after Israel declared its intention to maintain control over five additional strategic locations in southern Lebanon. Israel’s decision reportedly violated the terms of the November 27, 2024, ceasefire agreement.
