📡 Most Common DeFi Terms
⚫️ As more decentralized exchanges become available on The Open Network, an increasing number of users are encountering various terms from the DeFi sector. To assist newcomers to TON, we have decided to investigate this topic.
⚫️ To start with, the main difference between decentralized exchanges and centralized ones is the absence of an intermediary in the form of any company (such as Binance or OKX). All transactions on DEX occur through a smart contract, which acts as a guarantor of the successful transaction.
⚫️ When discussing decentralized exchanges, we come across concepts such as liquidity and price impact. In contrast to conventional centralized exchanges, the price of tokens on a DEX is determined by the amount of tokens and TON available in the liquidity pool. For instance, if there are 10 TON and 100 MEGA tokens in the liquidity pool, the price of 1 MEGA would be 0.1 TON. Note: TON is not mandatory in trade pairs, so you can create pairs like BOLT/MEGA or AMBRA/BOLT.
⚫️ The token price on decentralized exchanges does not stand still — it changes after each transaction. Therefore, the larger the number of tokens present in the liquidity pool, the less impact transactions will have on the price. A month ago, Megaton.Finance was launched on TON Blockchain, which from the start became a leader in terms of the number of tokens in liquidity, or total value locked (TVL).

🚀 Liquidity Providers & What They Earn
⚫️ The recent months have been particularly eventful for The Open Network ecosystem. The launch of several DEXs and buzz around some tokens have led to the growth of DeFi popularity among the TON community.
⚫️ Many users have already become familiar with DeFi projects on TON. Still, today we would like to delve a little deeper into such an important component of any decentralized exchange as liquidity.
⚫️ As soon as you add a trading pair to the pool (e.g., JTON/SCALE), you receive LP tokens, namely Liquidity Provider tokens. Each LP has a token value equal to the tokens you contributed to the liquidity.
⚫️ The number of tokens in the pool grows over time. Of course, there are nuances — read about impernament losses.
⭐️ As earning depends on the exchange's commissions, you will make good money if:
— The daily turnover of the trading pair is high.
— Your pool share is relatively large.
— Tokens have been in the pool for some time.
⚫️ For instance: DeDust.io liquidity providers receive 0.5% of each transaction in the SCALE/JTON and BOLT/JTON pairs. Based on this proportion, you get a percentage of your share in the pool. That is, if your share in the liquidity pool is 20%, you'll receive 0.1% of the commissions retained by the exchange. (This is an approximate calculation and NOT an investment recommendation; the exchange and pair are taken for example purposes).

✈️ Future integration of Toncoin into Telegram
⚫️ Nobody doubted that The Open Network was about to get a more extensive integration into the messenger after the launch of the Fragment platform, which bridged TON Blockchain and Telegram. NFT-usernames and anonymous numbers are only the groundwork for future integration that should be continued by Telegram’s decentralized exchange and non-custodial wallet, which Pavel Durov mentioned at the end of last year.
⚫️ Given the recent activity in the official Telegram TON wallet, the development team is likely testing a highload wallet that allows sending multiple transactions to different addresses at the same time. Although the reason for Telegram suddenly reinforcing the wallet contract is unknown, we are sure that it is related to the development of products previously announced by the CEO of the messenger.
⚫️ The current version of Telegram at the time of this post is 9.4. Since Pavel Durov's team strives to release new updates every month, we should expect an anniversary update around late July or early August. Notably, many TON supporters believe that around the same time frame Telegram will get even deeper integration with The Open Network.
⚫️ Only time will tell how accurate these predictions are. However, we can certainly foresee that the following year will be eventful for both TON Blockchain and Telegram.

A few days ago the Getgems marketplace summarized the results of the New Year Eggs NFT game, which took place in January. More than 2,500 users took part in the game, and the luckiest one of them (with the strongest Egg) won the grand prize of 8,000 $TON. The Getgems team proved that crypto winter is not an obstacle to the peculiar NFT collection, which made noise in the information environment of The Open Network Ecosystem.

🍌 The EVER Wallet now supports the TON network
⚫️ Following the completion of the Telegram Open Network in 2020, the Telegram messaging team made the blockchain code publicly available. This enabled independent developers to begin working on blockchain development autonomously. As a result, the enthusiasts were split into two camps: those who began to establish a community around the TON Crystal coin (later renamed Everscale), and those who focused on Toncoin.
⚫️ EVER Wallet is one of the main wallets of the Everscale blockchain, which has evolved indirectly from The Open Network over the years. Indeed, products such as @wallet, @tonrocketbot, and @cryptobot have gained an enormous burst of activity. For instance, TON Rocket reported that more than 800,000 users launched the bot.

⭐️ How is Tegro Finance superior to other exchanges?
⚫️ Last week Tegro Company finally launched its decentralized exchange — Tegro Finance, which was in active development for many months. Tegro.Finance became the fourth in the TON DeFi sector, following TonSwap, DeDust, and STON.fi exchanges.
⚫️ Unlike other segment representatives, Tegro.Finance has an ace in the hole — the first routing support on The Open Network. According to the official blog post, there is no more need to create separate liquidity of Token1 with Token2 or Token3. It is enough to add liquidity with TON to each token involved in the exchange. It allows users to make double exchanges, e.g., Token1 -> TON -> Token2 or Token1 -> TON -> Token3 in one transaction.
⚫️ The exchange has already listed a number of popular tokens, including $SCALE, $BOLT, $AMBRA, $FNZ, and $OUSDT. In the meantime, the price of the exchange’s native token, $TGR, has risen up four times during the token boom on The Open Network.
⚫️ Now, developers are focused on creating the DEX API to get successfully listed on CoinMarketCap in the coming weeks.

⚫️ You can now send TON by entering the NFT username rather than the address. More and more products are supporting Web3 TON domains and it's as fantastic as it could be.
⚫️ The wallet UI has also changed: a QR scanner has appeared, making it easier to send Toncoin. Also, avatars are now visible in the transaction history.
⚫️ The @wallet interface makes it look more like a regular crypto wallet or even a mobile bank than the Telegram bots we're used to seeing. If the team keeps releasing updates at this rate, we'll soon have a full-fledged wallet integrated into Telegram.

💀 A very favorable environment for scamming and spamming
⚫️ As soon as TON gained fame and became recognizable by a large group of Telegram users, scammers entered the ecosystem and started to profit at the newcomers’ expense. With tiny transaction fees, The Open Network became the hotbed for various fraudulent schemes aimed at stealing your crypto assets. It is the reverse side of blockchain’s advantages.
⚫️ You might have seen these spam transactions convincing you to enter the seed phrase on a bogus site. Akin to spam mail at off-chain services, users continue to suffer from constant transactions consisting of malicious links. Unfortunately, the developers of The Open Network cannot forbid such transactions due to the asynchronous nature of blockchain. The best method to protect yourself from spam transactions is to do your own research and under no circumstances enter your seed phrase, except when using official and verified services.
⚫️ A bunch of popular wallet apps — e.g., Tonkeeper and Tonhub — started to hide small transfers of Toncoin. More likely, the number of such transactions will only grow, leading developers to build up a filtering system for incoming messages which will help separate the wheat from the chaff. Each day scammers come up with something new and unique: recently, users started to receive a spam jetton, i.e., a token on The Open Network, named “Account banned.” It is better to ignore these tokens and hide them if they disturb you.

TON Tokens are on CoinMarketCap
We are thrilled to share the news that the first decentralized exchange on The Open Network — DeDust— has appeared on CoinMarketCap.
Starting today, users can discover their beloved tokens based on TON, whereas token founders has the opportunity to appear in CoinMarketCap’s global rating.
The first tokens, including $TNX, $AMBR, and $OUSDT, were added to the list of pairs available to follow and view. We will likely see other jettons on CoinMarketCap if they pass some requirements set by DeDust. In addition, CoinMarketCap now supports base64 bounceable token contracts (EQ…), which are used in The Open Network.

⚫️ TON Foundation is also moving on – Toncoin has appeared on a lot of crypto exchanges (except the most desired one, but it's a matter of time), CertiK certification has been completed, CMC has acknowledged TON, and we are now ranked 22nd in the world.
⚫️ The community produces new products on an almost weekly basis: new services, developer tools, and contract standards appear regularly.
⚫️ It is important to keep in mind that this is only the beginning; there will be many more new releases, standards, projects, collaborations, and exciting news in the future.

👁 CertiK gives ten tips for FunC developers

🏆 The TON ecosystem continues CoinMarketCap integration
⚫️ Many chats have been actively discussing the $SCALE coin in recent days, which has gained tremendous popularity as a result of its listing on the major cryptocurrency aggregator CoinMarketCap and has undergone an almost twelve-fold spike in price.

💎 At the threshold of TON Storage
⚫️ Over this only year, TON Foundation gave us a bunch of new key components, including the NFT standard, TON DNS, and TON Proxy. The ecosystem, in turn, came a long way from just a few small Telegram channels to large discussion fields for the free exchange of opinion. As the ecosystem member, we are delighted to announce that it will not be long before TON Foundation brings a New Year's gift for us — TON Storage, another essential milestone for The Open Network.
⚫️ Although TON Foundation is to launch TON Storage, according to the roadmap, in a matter of hours, the first documents and FAQs have started to appear on official GitHub repos. The TON Storage technology consists of two services. First, Storage Provider is an application and smart contracts that upload and serve files to clients. Next, storage-daemon is designed to be a program to download and share files within the TON Network, similar to torrent clients. ⚫️ The FAQ file also says that users may assign their TON domains to a TON Storage collection of files and, more importantly, store their NFTs, sites, and files in a decentralized way. Hope to see http://storage.ton become available for everyone.

⚫️ Yesterday, TON Society revealed grant award recipients whose projects were highly appreciated by the representatives of TON Foundation. Among the lucky ones there is TonDaddy, a powerful data aggregator made by TonX Studio, the developers of ton.run.
⚫️ Using tondaddy.com, users can easily track the current trading volume of .ton domains, along with the graphic trend depicting average domain prices and DNS odds. In addition, you can filter out domains by a bunch of parameters, including the status of the domain, the price, and the bid end date.
⚫️The analytic tool could be suitable for those enthusiasts tracking the .ton domains market on a daily basis. We hope to see the project receive a new grant for further development.
