⚫️ While you are probably busy getting ready for Christmas and New Year, the Disintar team continues developing their new promising product — explorer dton.io.
⚫️ Unlike other blockchain browsers, DTON provides more detailed infographics on the current state of The Open Network, including transaction count, total value, and the last blocks. The explorer is also integrated into the Disintar marketplace. Users can see each other's room by typing their addresses.
⚫️ Today, the developers have shared some interesting facts on the Russian-speaking channel. For example, they discovered that this Non-Fungible Token became the first in the TON Ecosystem this year. And this one has the highest number of transfers. All of it became possible with a new indexer developed over many months.

⚫️ We have previously issued various articles on the subject of fraud, and sadly, the issue is still relevant. Every day, new strategies for misleading users emerge, and there was and still is only one way to combat them: raise awareness.
⚫️ Scammers are continuously setting up traps and hunting for victims among community members; don't be easy prey — stay alert at all times! The safety of your funds is solely dependent on you and your attentiveness. If you do not take care of your financial security, someone else will take care of it for you (not in your favor 💀).
⚫️ Beginners taking their first steps into the world of Web3 are the most vulnerable, but even experienced users can be caught if they lose their caution. It is hard to provide an entire list of "how not to fall into the hands of scammers" tips, but we will mention a few key ones.
✈️ Never trust strangers! If someone writes to you in private messages offering you help, it is most certainly a scammer.
✈️ Under no circumstances should you reveal your secret recovery phrase to anyone! Also, do not enter it on any suspicious websites. If someone gains access to this phrase, they will have access to all of the funds linked to your address.
✈️ Trust only official sources of information! Official Telegram channels and messages from the official representatives in official chats are the only reliable sources of information. If you received an unauthorized newsletter offering to buy NFT or tokens, do not be deceived — this is a scam.
⚫️ We wish all TON community managers great patience and urge you to be understanding of those who ask "dumb questions"— remember yourself at the start of your journey.
👁 How much Toncoin does Telegram really have?
⚫ Yesterday, TON Foundation called for early TON miners to activate earlier deserted wallets, i.e., to transfer any sum to some TON address. The official post says it would help to achieve greater clarity and certainty on the tokenomics of The Open Network.
⚫ The blockchain's history contains several secrets related to Telegram since it was the messenger's team that launched TON. The "TOP 1000 accounts" page by TON Whales includes topped-up smart contracts with — attention! — Telegram's funds.
⚫ It is the 7th of December 2019, and Telegram runs the second part of its blockchain contest. The best 41 participants are welcome to participate and may request 5000 Grams, later known as Toncoin. In 2019, contestants received assets from this address, which still has more than 100,000 Toncoin. The question "Does the messenger have access to this wallet?" is still controversial and neither confirmed nor denied by Telegram.
⚫️ Although SEC sued messenger's attempts to issue Gram in October 2019, the blockchain was not reset, and Telegram's smart contracts still make the list of the largest wallets. This means you can still find out addresses topped up by Telegram — e.g., this one. Diving down this rabbit hole is a fascinating journey, and we hope some of our subscribers will do it.

✈️ Telegram, Anonymous Numbers & answers to tricky questions
⚫️ Earlier this week, Telegram gave another breath of fresh air to the TON ecosystem, having started the sales of Anonymous Numbers. The community members ambiguously received a new era of privacy announced by Telegram. The upcoming price increase has fueled the flames and mixed feelings of many users on a recent update. The Daily TON decided to figure out all nuances around Anonymous Numbers and try to find answers to tricky questions.
⚫️ The users were initially able to purchase a random Telegram number for 9 TON, but, unfortunately, it did not last very long. Starting yesterday, everyone could see the message stating the price on numbers would increase by 1 TON every hour. It is still unknown why Telegram has begun showing some sort of urgency and pushing its users to buy anonymous numbers, but we are sure it is not the last messenger's attempt to bring web3 to the app. For instance, there are many rumors that Telegram can launch a new pool of numbers instead of +888 or even start blockchainizing another part of its ecosystem — e.g., stickers or emojis.
⚫️ Messenger's decision to generate a buzz around the secondary market might have also been seen as strange and against the grain. It is worth mentioning that transferring or selling Anonymous Number neither clears the account nor logs out the past owner from it. In practice, any spammer can lower the account's reputation and sell it for a floor price. A new owner, in turn, cannot check in advance if the number was used.
⚫️ We would be grateful to hear more comments on Anonymous Telegram from Telegram. At least, it would give the key to the riddle: Why did the messenger decide to drive up prices?

✈️ STON.fi joins the ranks of decentralized exchanges that launched stablecoin pairs
⚫️ Yesterday, great news reached the entire TON community: Orbit Bridge finally started supporting The Open Network's mainnet, and users became available to transfer a myriad of tokens from the Ethereum, Polygon, and other blockchains to TON. It is not surprising that tokens with a steady exchange rate – stablecoins – are in high demand within the community. Such cryptocurrencies like USDT and USDC have shown their convenience and usability in practice.
⚫️ After our recent post, TonSwap and DeDust quickly integrated the first stablecoin pairs on The Open Network. And last but not least, Ston.Fi launched a bunch of new pairs, including oUSDT-WTON, oUSDC-WTON, oETH-FNZ, and others. We are excited to see TON Blockchain becoming even more user-friendly, providing new opportunities for building DeFi projects.
⚫️ STON.fi has already started to add liquidity to pairs, and soon user transfers will have much less impact on the rates. In the meantime, STON's TVL has surpassed the milestone of $500,000. Hope to see this number grow at times eventually.

👁 TON Society is gathering feedback on ton.app
⚫️ Last week, TON Society started collecting opinions about ton.app, the most popular application catalog on The Open Network. For many months, the site was getting negative reviews since it lacked professionalism and interest, e.g., the catalog was not regularly updated and consisted of many deceased projects.
⚫️ We also appeal to the community and ask everyone to share their opinions in the TON Society Telegram channel’s comments section. Together we can enhance the ecosystem and create not only the application catalog but something bigger.
⚫️ As part of the large TON community, we want to share our thoughts on ton.app’s features. Above all, it should aim to provide the most accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about the TON projects. In addition to regular reviews of the catalog, we would like to create a place where any TON project can get recognition and find its initial audience. For example, it seems like a great idea to encourage projects to start their blogs — sort of like CoinMarketCap’s news feed. It would assist founders in getting away from Telegram and not obsessing over a single media platform.
⚫️ The Daily TON, like no other, sees the expanding gap between TON Foundation and its community. Users have still not taken, say, a tribune to ask TF’s representatives about everything they want. 🖊 Astrologers proclaim a DEX week on TON
⚫️ Yesterday, we mentioned the launches of two new decentralized exchanges on The Open Network — Ston.Fi and DeDust. Starting today, the first has listed $FNZ, which price has already doubled in comparison with IDO. What an excellent week for the TON ecosystem!
⚫️ While the main focus is directed at Fanzee's listing, we would like to look more closely at DeDust and tell you some facts about it. For this purpose, we contacted Nick, the only developer at Scaleton, to find out the exchange's building process. And here it is:
— How does DeDust differ from the exchange on scaleton.co in testnet?
— Well, these are two different DEXs. In the previous version, which was only in the testnet, there was only a contract of a trading pair. And that's it! Yes, new pairs could be added, but this was managed centrally, i.e., made by someone. In the new version, anyone can import their token, deposit liquidity, and the pair is ready. In addition, there is a foundation for the future, which will allow for close integration with DEX. For example, you will be able to make a sale contract for NFT for one coin while accepting other coins for payment, which would be exchanged through DEX "on the fly."

📈 DWF Labs invests $10m in the TON ecosystem
⚫️ Today, a leading global digital asset market maker, DWF Labs, has emerged as a supporter of The Open Network. A prop-trading company, presented in Singapore, Switzerland, South Korea, the BVI, and the UAE, strives to become one of the largest Toncoin market makers across different exchanges. This deal came after successful coin's listings on Huobi and KuCoin earlier this fall.
⚫️ According to the press release, DWF Labs will increase the number of TON ecosystem participants by improving the Toncoin volume across supporting platforms. The company also intends to double coin's trading volume of up to $20 million within the first three months of the partnership, as well as to develop a reliable OTC market to complete large transactions.
⚫️ In addition, DWF Labs has also established a strategic partnership with Fanzee and is ready to support a project even further. Hope to see a long-term partnership between The Open Network and DWF Labs.
✈️ What is a real web3 project?
⚫️ Last week, one of the world's most prominent blockchain crypto conferences, TOKEN2049, took place in London. Tal Kol, founder of Orbs Network, spoke on the topic of The Paradox of Growing Web3 to Web2 Scale. Having mentioned The Open Network and Toncoin a couple of times, the keynote speaker pointed out that many crypto projects did not still meet the requirements to be called truly web3 products.
⚫️ Tal Kol used USDC, a stablecoin founded by Circle, as an example to prove that not all projects "uphold web3 principles", even if they have a smart-contract. For instance, USDC is run by a company, from which it follows that users will never be at the forefront. In addition, since your assets can be frozen at any time, you do not have control over your funds in reality.
⚫️ In the meantime, large companies still continue to interfere in an allegedly web3 world: Tether, a USDT issuer, froze a wallet with more than $13,000,000 quite recently. And Tornado Cash's code publisher, Alexey Pertsev, went to jail, accused of facilitating money laundering via the now-sanctioned mixer app.
⚫️ Currently, Orbs Network is building a decentralized protocol for scoring web3 apps. Their approach is to create a tool for scanning blockchain products by the following criteria: "Is the source code verified?", "Does it have an admin role?", "Is the supply fixed?", and much more. At the end, users will see the product evaluation, with a mark ranging from A to F.

⭐️ Getgems invites you to crack eggs
⚫️ A few days after the strange post appeared, the marketplace team announced a New Year's game.
⚫️ “New year eggs” is an NFT game based on the "Rock, Paper, Scissors" principles. When the collection is sold out, the game will be directly available from the Getgems main interface. Each day all the eggs are divided into pairs and hit against each other: one will break while the other will remain intact and proceed to the next round.
⚫️ The grand prize deserves a special mention. The winner, i.e., the owner of the last remaining egg, will get the entire earnings from the collection sale as a prize.
⚫️ Sales will begin on the Getgems launchpad next week. An egg will cost 1 TON, and you can only buy two for one address. It’s worth mentioning that users who have a False Gem or Lottery Ticker in their wallets will have a slight advantage. 🪙 TON Storage is getting to appear on TON soon
⚫️ With the new year hustle and bustle, we suppose you might have forgotten that holidays are not the only thing we should be happy about. In fact, this means we can expect the long-awaited TON Storage technology to be released in less than two weeks.
⚫️ TON Storage has the potential to revitalize the notion of decentralization. Akin to torrent networks, the technology will allow storing files within the blockchain anonymously and with encryption.
⚫️ There are a bunch of crypto influencers who are sure it can offer a new way of storing files alongside Amazon, Google, or Dropbox cloud solutions. We hasten to please you: the first traces of the upcoming update have already appeared on GitHub.
⚫️ A few days ago, the core developer at TON Foundation, EmelyanenkoK, uploaded the so-called "StorageProvider" to his repository. As we understand it, Storage Provider is technology's crucial component since it is in charge of deploying new storage contracts and spreading files between nodes.
⚫️ In the meantime, the explorer ton.cx has already started displaying TON Storage's contract interfaces, including the current rate megabyte/day. Moreover, every user can upload the dApp of Storage Provider to his website and deploy smart contracts on his own using a friendly interface.
⭐️ TON projects attack price-tracking websites
⚫️ Recently, Fanzee has become listed on a popular cryptocurrency price-tracking website, CoinGecko. As soon as the project appears on a bunch of centralized exchanges, it will be the only trading asset on The Open Network apart from the native coin.
⚫️ Starting this week, the cryptocurrency community may find out more information about TON's ecosystem as well as dive deeper into its projects and tokens. For those interested in current trading jettons on TON, we suggest having a look at TonCap, which was recently introduced by Astralyx Team. The site showcases all the tokens available to trade on decentralized exchanges.
⚫️ Tegro Team, another remarkable participant of the TON Ecosystem, has also listed its coin — $TGR — on CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko. According to its official channel, the project has already conducted the IDO and has plans to appear on several large centralized exchanges. We hope that Tegro Team will bring to exchanges not only its BEP-20 token but also a TON jetton.
⚫️ Hope to see such beloved tokens like $AMBR or $BOLT appeared on CoinGecko and listed on some CEXs one day.
📈 Crypto arbitrage trading on The Open Network
⚫️ The last few days were extremely successful for Toncoin in terms of its rate. Today the cryptocurrency price reached 2.15$, its highest point in eight months. More likely, it is based on the anticipated Telegram's Anonymous Numbers price increase (which we discussed in our recent post) and on expectations of a new post by Pavel Durov regarding TON Ecosystem. Anyway, this is not the main point.
⚫️ The growth of Toncoin price has led to a mismatch between the exchange rates of TON/USDT and TON/oUSDT exchange pairs on large CEXs and TON-based DEXs, such as STON.fi, DeDust, or TonSwap. Toncoin was worth 2.05$ on OKX at the moment of the exchange and 1.87$ on DEXs. The Daily TON decided to conduct an experiment and take up arbitration.
⚫️ To balance the exchange rates, we had to get oUSDT tokens. The only way to get them is to use Ozys Bridge, announced earlier this month. Users must have only ERC-20 USDT on their non-custodial balance to bridge the required sum. The problem is that transferring everything through Ethereum is much more expensive than through The Open Network. That is how $6 was lost due to fees.
⚫️ Another major issue is the time it takes to complete a transaction. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get wrapped USDT tokens on TON Blockchain. And speaking of that, we hope a recently announced decentralized exchange, Megaton, will not fall short of users' expectations and will bring a secure and fast way to transfer assets through different blockchains.
⚫️ Finally, we succeeded in exchanging oUSDT for Toncoin and thus raising the rate. Though it was amazing to get into the arbitrage with oUSDT, we still want to see the official bridge which promises to be faster and better.
🚀 DeDust's last update
⚫️ Starting today, users of the DeDust decentralized exchange can now see the amount of their balance, the amount of liquidity deposited, and the number of funds invested in TON Whales staking in the "My Portfolio" section. Token prices are determined by the current exchange rate on the DEX.
⚫️ According to the founder, a page listing available pools will be added to the site very soon. In addition, grant support for independent developers on The Open Network will be launched next year.
⚫️ We are optimistic that the update will please the owners of tokens that have appeared in the fast-growing TON ecosystem in recent months.
🏆 New smart contracts are ready to emerge in the TON ecosystem
⚫️ This week, TonTech has summed up the long journey with grants funded by Getgems and Morgenshtern. Over the past five months, many developers have been involved in writing smart contracts directly related to Non-Fungible Tokens.
⚫️ The NFT Auction contract and SBT standard were successfully developed and integrated on Getgems as part of the TON Footsteps program. In the meantime, others, including the NFT sale contract with jetton support and the NFT raffle contract, made respectively by TON Whales and Purple, an independent developer, are only waiting to be added to this list. However, given the speed with Getgems unveils new updates, we are sure it will happen very soon.

️⚫️ Today we succeeded in transferring 5 USDT from the Ethereum blockchain to TON Blockchain. The credit for this goes to the new cross-chain bridge Orbit Bridge, which was developed by Ozys.
️⚫️ The entire process went by quickly and smoothly, with the only downside being the high Ethereum gas fees, which are strange for The Open Network users.
️⚫️ This is a historic event for the ecosystem. It's just great that more and more people and teams are becoming involved in TON Community!

⚫️ The journey of almost every crypto beginner starts with downloading their first non-custodial wallet for mobile or PC. In the case of Toncoin, the most popular wallet apps are Tonkeeper and Tonhub. Though some people may prefer a default TON Wallet available on every platform, these apps form the majority of crypto users on The Open Network. However, a whole bunch of wallet apps remains unrecognized by most users. Well, what is the TON ecosystem hiding?

⚫️ This fall turned out to be very productive on new apps made on The Open Network. Another member of our list is OpenMask, a simple and clear Chrome extension. Designed as an analogue to the well-known Metamask, the wallet app has improved over the last months. Thanks to a backward compatible provider with the original extension wallet, OpenMask enables users to log in to many sites — e.g., DeDust — and use multi wallets. ⚫️ Last but not least is determined to bring a positive experience to non-crypto newcomers, TonSafe. Available on many mobile platforms, it strives to become a professional tool to operate with TON. 🔥 Fragment thrives on wider recognition
⚫️ Since a few days ago, users have been able to sell the name without placing the opening bid. The new method of username bidding has already encouraged owners of rare usernames to participate in Telegram's auctions. Despite the fact that users still need to put the first bid in order for a domain to be visible to everyone on the platform's main page, plenty of superb usernames have already appeared, and this fact is truly astounding!
⚫️ The Daily TON searched for the most exquisite domains that have appeared in the last few days. Let’s unearth the chest with the treasures that Fragment was hiding! The first on the list is @games, starting at 490,000 TON, which can be perfect for any gaming-related channel in terms of traffic. We’re curious if a TON project would buy this domain and attract new audiences.
⚫️ The following domains: @images and @series, starting at 90,000 and 140,000 TON respectively, look appropriate for promoting anything associated with photography, NFTs, and other creative topics. Consider purchasing these domains if you are inventive and have some spare funds.
⚫️ Mentioned usernames are quite cheap in comparison with other popular ones, we wonder how much will they cost in a week. We hope to see more people participate in Fragment's auctions and become involved in The Open Network's rapidly growing ecosystem.
🔥 Toncoin made headlines in the last week
⚫️ Following the recent FTX crash, Toncoin's market cap continues to defy the entire crypto market and trend higher. The more coin bucks the market, the more it people hear about it. In recent weeks, The Open Network increasingly got the attention of well-known news outlets. This is due to its climbing up the ranks on CoinMarketCap as well as Telegram's username marketplace on Fragment.com. Let's see who's been covering Toncoin recently.
⚫️ The first in the list of considerate news websites is NewsBTC, which mentioned Toncoin several times. According to the news outlet, Toncoin has been bullish for the last few days following the launch of Telegram's username auction service. Another reason for the coin's success is that Safepal is set to integrate Toncoin by the end of 2022, NewsBTC says.
⚫️ The coin was also briefly mentioned by Cryptopolitan and Coinpedia. Both of them pointed out cryptocurrency's bullish trend amid the recent dip in the market. According to news, Toncoin's (TON) price has jumped more than 40% in the last 30 days to $1.76.
⚫️ All this creates a favorable background around TON and involves more people in the TON ecosystem.
⭐️ Scaleton DEX is alive and kicking
⚫️ Earlier this summer, Scaleton, a wallet-like platform made for interacting with jettons on The Open Network, launched the sale of a $SCALE token. A few months ago, we wrote that scaleton.io became the first site that created a DEX pair in testnet. Though many people were looking forward to any news, the official channel kept silent for a long time.
⚫️ Today, the news has finally come: Scaleton, rewritten from scratch and rebranded to DeDust, launches a decentralized exchange. According to sources, the DEX has several features which were still not implemented by other platforms. One of them is creating a custom token pair. As the developer says, you no longer need to pay extra money for token listing. The only thing you have to do is to enter a token root address and create a pair by adding liquidity.

🪙 TON Foundation launches a developer portal
⚫️ Today, the official The Open Network website – ton.org – has received another major update designed to reduce the barrier to entry for new developers into TON ecosystem. A new page, ton.org/dev, seems to become a solid entry point for blockchain developers. You can find some information on the benefits of TON Blockchain as well as some tutorials to get started. Simply put, there is a ton of useful stuff that will be helpful for developers who are new to TON so far.
⚫️ In addition, a documentation website, tonspace.co, has finally relocated to ton.org/docs, meaning that it has become much easier to dive deeper into the technical details of The Open Network. Note: every user is welcome to contribute to documentation via GitHub. Please see this page if you have found any inaccuracies or want to improve the docs.

💡 What will Semi-Fungible tokens look like?
⚫️ We are sure that everyone has heard about NFT, or Non-Fungible tokens, which became a major trend in 2021. NFTs are good to use if one wants to create something unique and scarce, such as artwork, collectibles, or virtual real estate. Hence, since everything happens in blockchain, we can characterize Non-Fungible tokens as unique, immutable, and verifiable assets.
⚫️ But what if we need to save an immutable and partly unique nature of such tokens but increase them in numbers? For example, if one creates a shooter-like GameFi project and wants to implement bullets for weapons there. In the case of NFTs, it would be impossible: they are all different, in other words, non-fungible.
⚫️ Fortunately, it is where SFT or Semi-Fungible tokens come into play. Such assets are entirely interchangeable with each other and can be minted in great numbers very fast. In TON, the implementation of SFTs is different: devs are about to create such assets based on jettons technology.

🖊 How to store seed phrases safely?
⚫️ Let's break away from the latest crypto news and discuss some crypto security stuff, especially storing seed phrases. When it has to do with seed phrases, you should remember there are different types of wallets: custodial and non-custodial ones. Check these articles [Part 1 & Part 2], where we went into the matter of the types of wallets, if you need a clearer understanding of how they differ.
⚫️ First and foremost, you must not share this precious 24-word combination with anyone. Remember: only you are in charge of the security of a non-custodial wallet. Whenever anyone gets access to your wallet, nobody can prevent stealing of money. We advise you to learn seed phrases by heart or keep them in safe places.
⚫️ Speaking of storing the recovery phrases, the safest way is still to have everything written down on a piece of paper. As soon as you put the word combination on paper, stash it in some secure place, say, a passport, a safe deposit box, or a very boring book. And you can also try to decentralize the recovery words: hide them in different places in parts. In this way, there is no way anyone will get them.
⚫️ It is common to see people screenshotting 24-words and keeping them on their phone's gallery or even in Telegram's favored messages. In fact, it is a way to undermine your crypto security. USB stick drives seem to be an excellent solution if you want to combine safety and convenience in one place. After all, they are offline devices, and nobody can access them.
