🤔 Here are some interesting facts and highlights of the filming

▫️The main cast members underwent intensive training in preparation for their roles, which included weapons handling, military tactics, and survival skills. DiCaprio and Hounsou both spent time with former child soldiers to better understand their characters' backgrounds.

▫️Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays the role of a Rhodesian diamond smuggler, underwent training to speak with a convincing South African accent. Djimon Hounsou, who plays a fisherman from Sierra Leone, had to learn the Mende language for his role.

▫️To enhance the film's authenticity, many scenes were shot in actual locations in South Africa, Mozambique, and Sierra Leone. The filmmakers sought advice from experts and NGOs to accurately portray the political and social climate of the time.

📺 Apple TV+'s adaptation of Bonnie Garmus' critically acclaimed novel, Lessons in Chemistry, is set to premiere in Fall 2023. The series stars Brie Larson in the lead role and as executive producer, alongside a talented cast including Lewis Pullman, Beau Bridges, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Patrick Walker, Thomas Mann, and Kevin Sussman. The story follows Elizabeth Zott, a female scientist in the 1960s who loses her job due to pregnancy and starts a TV cooking show to teach scientific topics to housewives. The number of episodes remains undisclosed. Apple TV+ secured the adaptation rights in January 2021, with Susannah Grant as the screenwriter and Lee Eisenberg as the showrunner. Production commenced in August 2022, but the exact release date is yet to be announced.

Created by Nate Sherman and Nick Vokey, Fired on Mars was part of a plan to develop diverse animated projects for HBO Max, which is set to be rebranded as Max following the Warner Bros. and Discovery merger.
