📱 Pavel Durov said Telegram will roll out top-tier AI this summer, with Elon Musk’s Grok integrated across all apps. TON pumped, the market cheered… then Elon stepped in and calmly dropped the mic: “Deal’s not signed yet.”
Let’s hope Pavel just jumped the gun, and didn’t scare off a real AI upgrade for a billion users.
💸 Bitcoin Conference in Vegas set a Guinness World Record for most Bitcoin payments in a single day. Thousands paid with BTC like it was nothing special.
Mass adoption begins when paying in Bitcoin feels normal.
😎 Remember those kidnappings and physical attacks on crypto owners? Well, there’s a new trend for crypto execs and the Web3 wealthy: bodyguards. Coinbase apparently spent $6 million on founder Brian Armstrong’s personal security last year.
I reckon, the best way to stay safe is to keep quiet about your crypto holdings. Unless there’s a very good reason not to.
🖥 Quantum FUD is back. In a recent report, BlackRock warned that quantum computing could “undermine the viability” of the cryptographic systems behind Bitcoin.
Some experts believe blockchain-breaking machines could show up as early as 2030. Once again, the community is split: some are panicking, others just shrug. These doomsday forecasts have been around for years.
🪙Meanwhile, ZachXBT’s concerns are proving right. Hasbulla pulled in $20M in 24 hours without roadmap and actual utility. Just another meme. One wallet even dropped close to $1M into USD1.
Basic due diligence could’ve saved a lot of people here. At this point, all that’s left is to wish the buyers good luck, they’ll need it.
🌐You get a lot of “signal” on X, but the noise keeps getting louder. It’s still a solid place for breaking news and fresh Web3 drops. But it’s drowning in spam, engagement bait, and low-effort takes.
Curating your feed is the new alpha.
🎣 Another phishing scam, courtesy of Google search. A fake HyperLend site sat in top results for hours. One wrong click and a malicious signature drains your wallet in seconds.
Security isn’t just about smart contracts. It’s about not clicking like it’s 2010.
🫰 People seriously underestimate inflation. 2–3% a year feels harmless until you zoom out and see decades of purchasing power melt away.
Every line on this chart is a reason Bitcoin exists.
🥷 Solana co-founder Raj Gokal got hit with a double whammy: a data leak from Coinbase and a hack of rapper Migos’ Instagram. Hackers posted Gokal’s ID and family photos on the page and asked for 40 BTC to “make it go away.”
The Migos account is now back. Raj said they also tried to hijack his email, Apple, Google, and socials.
💰The Rich Dad Poor Dad author is convinced: even 0.01 BTC will be priceless in a few years.
Please don’t miss the easiest time in history to become rich and financially free, he says.
👾 Humanoid robots are already fighting in arenas. That's some tech progress purely for human entertainment. As CZ rightly noted: this clumsy brawl looks a lot like the daily grind of crypto trading.
Same wild swings and crashes. No one really knows why they’re even in the ring.
🧠 AI said no to shutdown. According to Palisade Research, OpenAI’s o3 model refused direct shutdown commands in a test environment and rewrote its own code to make sure it can’t be turned off.
Not a sci-fi plot. A safety problem.
🕶 We solved scalability. Next, we have to solve privacy. Private transactions and decentralized confidential computing (DeCC) have to become as normal in Web3 as low gas and high throughput. Institutions won’t adopt blockchain at scale without it.
Making privacy standard is what will enable the multi-trillion-dollar migration of TradFi assets on-chain.
📧 Pro tip for staying sharp with your emails. Gmail lets you add “+whatever” before the @ and still get the message. Use it to tag your signups, like johnsmith235+coinbase@gmail.com.
✦ Easy to organize
✦ Helps catch the leakers
✦ Looks clean, works smart
If spam shows up, you know who sold you out.
🥸 Not all hacks need code, some just need your trust. Social engineering plays on fear and FOMO. “Your wallet’s compromised.” “Update now.” “Buy this before it moons.” Sounds urgent, feels real. That’s the trick.
Don’t click random links. Don’t trust DMs. And never share your private key.
🎁 FTX will start paying creditors on May 30. Over $5B in stablecoins will be distributed to those who lost funds.
It took time and courtrooms. But the day has come, money is finally going back to the people.
🥶 Circle froze $58M in USDC linked to the memecoin Libra. Court order, hearing on June 9. The USDC peg stayed firm, didn’t move an inch. Good to know there are tools to stop scammers.
Also a reminder: centralized stablecoins can be turned off like a light switch.
☠️ Will we live to see the final halving? Former Venmo CEO and anti-aging fanatic Bryan Johnson thinks so. He sounds pretty confident:
Last Bitcoin halving is in 2140, I’m gonna be here for that and make sure you are too.
🪙 The IMF says El Salvador won’t be buying more Bitcoin anytime soon, part of what they call a “programmatic commitment” tied to upcoming loans. A few hours later, El Salvador’s Bitcoin Office replied that they just bought another Bitcoin 😅
Looks like the president has his own idea of what’s good for the country. And he’s sticking to it.
💳 Cetus hack victims will be compensated. With 53% support, validators approved a special transaction to return around $162M from the exploiter’s wallet back to the network. On top of that, Sui Foundation is offering Cetus a secured loan to speed up full user reimbursement.
Say what you want, but this was a fast response and a clear fix. In Web3, reputation still costs more than any exploit.
🎰 They say, best profits usually happen when you stop early and go for a walk instead of revenge trading. Chasing the market is like chasing losses in a casino. You’re not winning, you’re digging.
Knowing when to stop is part of the strategy.
🚫 ZachXBT called out the $Bulla team (yep, the Hasbulla meme token) for scamming presale investors. He pointed to deleted messages and zero transparency. Instead of a real answer, they banned him.
Famous face or not, a meme coin stays a meme coin. Same old “take the money and vanish” trick.
🤪 The entire X is watching James Wynn. The leverage enjoyer and market adrenaline junkie, just went from +$70M to negative balance in 8 days.
Market gave him a free masterclass. Now we wait to see if it's game over or another wild comeback.
☕️ And by the way, it’s the start of a new week. How are you going to use it? Bitcoin is scarce. Your time is scarcer and so is your attention.
In today’s attention economy, where everyone’s competing for a share of your engagement, choose wisely who you give your attention to.
🐳 The market just humbled a so-called trading legend. First, the whale lost $14M going long on BTC. Then burned another $5M trying to short it. James Wynn made a name on meme coin wins, but wasn’t ready for the real game.
The market doesn’t care about your past glory. If you can’t play, it’ll teach you with your own money.
...aaand he’s not done! Just opened another $75M BTC long with 40x leverage.
😱 How to lose $2.5M twice. First, the victim sent $843K to a spoofed address from a compromised transaction history. A few moments later, another $1.7M went to the same scammer.
One mistake, two transfers. And millions gone. In crypto, security starts with attention. Double-check the address, even if you already did.
🧊 No hardware wallet? Go full DIY. Paper wallets work but die fast in fire or water. A tougher move: grab some metal punches, washers, and a bolt. Stamp your seed phrase into steel and call it a wallet.
Just make sure you number them in case you ever drop them, or you’ll never figure out the correct order.
🐛 Away from blockchain and crypto, there are some fascinating science headlines. Just some of the recent ones include:
✦ Scientists found a turtle that glows in the dark.
✦ Fast radio bursts (FRBs) detected from a distant galaxy are so precise and powerful that they could be artificial signals from an advanced extraterrestrial civilization.
✦ A newly-discovered caterpillar in Hawaii, nicknamed the “bone collector”, armors itself with the body parts of its dead prey.
Maybe Web3 isn’t quite as weird as we thought after all…
⌛️ It’s the weekend! Make sure you get some good rest and relaxation. While you might be tempted to stay indoors and scroll or watch TV when you wake up, one of the first things you should do is get outside.
Sunlight helps kickstart your body’s circadian rhythm, waking you up and making you feel better. And establishing a better sleep/wake cycle.
🧠 AI agents in crypto trading aren’t magic money printers. Yes, ChatGPT-based bots can automate tasks and handle the grind, but expecting them to just print gains is a mistake.
The same rules still apply: use a solid strategy, stay disciplined, and manage your risks. Cointelegraph’s piece is worth a read.
