We’ve all felt the pain of this bear market. Prices grinding lower, sentiment in the gutter, “Bitcoin is dead” headlines everywhere again. But what if we’re staring at the generational bottom — not because of some random TA pattern, but because sovereign states are the ones about to flip the switch? 
Think about it:
• El Salvador is still buying one Bitcoin a day (sometimes more for milestones). As of mid-2026, their holdings sit around 7,500+ BTC, worth hundreds of millions, and they’ve kept stacking through the dips. President Bukele even called out buying “the other dip” recently alongside gold. They’re not stopping. 
• The United States literally established a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve via executive order in early 2025, capitalizing it with seized BTC and leaving the door open for more strategic acquisitions (budget-neutral). This isn’t some fringe idea anymore — it’s official U.S. policy, with talk of treating BTC as a core reserve asset because of its fixed supply. 
• Luxembourg‘s sovereign wealth fund (first in the Eurozone) allocated to Bitcoin ETFs. Sovereign wealth funds were reportedly buying the dip hard when BTC plunged below $90k, $80k, etc. — not for quick trades, but long-term holds, according to BlackRock’s Larry Fink. 
• Bhutan has been stacking for years (over 10k BTC at points). Other nations are watching or quietly moving: discussions about shifting gold reserves to BTC, more countries joining the holder list (reports of jumps from a handful to over 20 nation-states involved in some capacity). 
The smart ones who get it — those understanding BTC as digital gold with superior properties (verifiable, portable, scarce) — are feverishly positioning. They’re not tweeting about it daily. They’re working behind the scenes because first-mover advantage in a fixed-supply asset is massive.
Here’s the avalanche scenario: Once the first few big sovereign buys hit the tape (or even reliable leaks), the psychology shifts overnight. Institutions that hesitated? In. Other nations fearing being left behind? In. ETFs see inflows explode again. Corporations with treasuries? FOMO. Retail that capitulated? Back in. Supply is already tight. This isn’t 2018 or 2022 — nation-state demand is a new paradigm.
Bitcoin has always been about sound money winning in the long run. Governments printing endless fiat are starting to realize they can’t ignore the hardest money ever created. The bear market might feel eternal right now, but this could be the spark that ends it.

Most of us have our seed phrase secured somehow: steel plate, multisig, hardware wallet... But that security works against us the moment we're not around anymore to use it. If something happens to me tomorrow, my wife has no idea how to access any of it, and honestly even if I wrote instructions down, that defeats the whole point of keeping the seed secure in the first place. The "traditional" answers people throw around don't really hold up: Telling a family member the seed = single point of failure, now they're a target, and you have to fully trust one person Lawyer/notary holding instructions = most have zero crypto literacy, and you're back to relying on a centralized party Multisig with a trusted contact = better, but still complex to set up correctly and most people don't bother Curious how people here have actually solved this in practice, not just in theory. Did you set up a multisig specifically for inheritance? Do your heirs know what to do? Did you involve a notary or lawyer, and if so how did that conversation even go since most of them know nothing about crypto? A few days ago I posted my new project called Solarminer.app into this subreddit. People kept telling me that closed source is not the way and they would nether install tools on their local server if they weren't able to look into the code.
I don't have bad intentions but its a good thing people want to verify. So this is where we are now!
I have reorganized the code and created a github org for this project.

You either contribute code via pull requests If you have a solar system installed you might also have a smart meter or inverter. In this case It would help alot if you could try out the app yourself by deploying it according to the docs via docker. Then try to create a modbus/rest api connnection for your inverter/smart meter and publish that in the config repo or the discord server! Going Open Source was a big step for me. I hope it was worth it!

I did the math if I buy Bitcoin at around 65k ill need it to go to 85k to break even. I'm planning to hold onto it until 2029 or 2030 and then using the profit as a downpayment on a house- or I might use the Fannie mae loan and put it up as collateral and retain the Bitcoin. I've been looking at tons of estimates on where Bitcoin will be - bitbo, reddit, chat gpt, friends, anything I can find. My general conclusion is that it will be somewhere between 150 and 240k in 2029-2030. What are peoples thoughts on this plan? Where do people think Bitcoin will be at this time? Does anyone predict Bitcoin just flat out dies- if so how? I feel like worst case scenario it hovers around 70k for 4 or 5 years before spiking up in which case id just have to keep holding onto it. I truly believe that with enough time it will just eventually go up though. I currently own a out 0.3 Bitcoin but with this loan I'm looking at 0.75 and over the next few years I'll probably invest EVEN MORE into just to get to a whole coin.
