<!-- SC_OFF -->I go to do an errand the other day and stop at a restaurant to get some food. It's terrifying. As someone who has struggled with weight-including being a college athlete-I know the emotional pain of being fat. I'm 42. At a table next to me, there is a family of 5. The youngest kid is probably 19-20 and is well over 150 pounds overweight. Everyone is drinking soda. I drive through my neighborhood. I hate that my fence isn't fixed. We've fixed the grass, painted the house, plumbing, etc, but it's embarrassing to have a broken fence. I really hate my neighbor. Four cars parked in the driveway. Grass hasn't been cut for months. Blaring music. I tell my sister about the state of some of the houses and her response is "it's sad, people are really struggling". Not "why don't they clean up their fucking mess?" I have a close friend who has a great job, but he fucked around for most of his 20s with drugs and is playing financial catch up. He talks about wanting to get rich and financially stable. He spent $20,000 this year on plastic surgery and clothes. I saw a phrase that says "tell your kids that they did a great job by working hard, do not praise them for being smart". An old friend whose parents have told him he is a genius since he was 6 just told me his entire department was laid off due to AI. he told me 1 month ago "my job cannot be done by AI". We are living in a simulation. It's like a bad movie. OPT OUT. It seems like people have "accepted their fate". Instead of being angry, they just watch tv and TikTok and cosume garbage. Ironically there have never been so many opportunities, so many chances to learn for free. NGMI is real. It's been 5 years since covid and most people are poorer, more degenerate, lazier, and yet don't want to ask a question about investing, bitcoin, etc. AND their 5 years older. Literally all you had to do was work at your white collar tech job that's work from home and put $500 into btc a month and you'd have a good position...or do 1,000 a week for the guys who were single, had no kids, and no mortgage, and you'd be set. Sadly, for the people with good incomes, it's almost always the same phrase: I bought a house because I didn't want to get to 60 not owning anything. Yes, it makes perfect sense to put $100k down and have a $5k mortgage when your rent was $3k? I've been in bitcoin seriously for the last 5 years. I first heard of it in 2017. I actually believe this is the last real time for normal people to be able to buy part of the network in a significant chunk. It's the last real time a normal person will have a chance to be a whole coiner. If you're reading this and haven't said TLDR this guy is crazy, I want to say the following: Parents would say "don't go down to their level". This is very true. I'd guess 80% of people are either completely broke or have good incomes but living paycheck to paycheck. <!-- SC_OFF -->TLDR: Buy Bitcoin on a loan without any possibility of liquidation when BTC is below it's 500 Day Moving Average. Beat DCA 100% time. I have DCAed into Bitcoin, and bought Bitcoin on a loan. But the best strategy for Bitcoin accumulation ?
- DCA every month. And leverage buy BTC on a loan without any possibility of liquidation ,while it is below it's 500 day moving average.
- Green shows when a loan beats DCA, red shows when DCA would have won. This strategy beats normal DCA a whopping 85.5% of the times.
- If you started the strategy if BTC was below 500 MA, you win 100% times.
- This cannot be a margin trade, as you could get liquidated due to the requirements. This has to be a TradFi loan or some sort of DeFi loan where as long as you pay your monthly dues, you cannot be margin called. I posted a similar analysis (https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1llqnq2/dca_vs_taking_out_a_loan_to_buy_bitcoin_data/) previously where in the methodology I considered that you do not get access to the full upside of the BTC, only partial every month as you pay your loan. But the more I thought about this, I realized that is not the case. You receive full upside potential on Day 1. If you can stomach the volatility, there is no better way to buy Bitcoin, but now, and lots of it. Buying Bitcoin on a loan is smart, not reckless. Change my mind.
(Although I plan to do Monte Carlo simulations to see future price paths and how they would perform against DCA, to prove myself wrong as past data bias is muddying my analysis :P)
