[Help] Kaby Lake R Laptop (Dell Vostro 5471) requires 10-15 attempts to boot OpenCore - Instability Issue
I'm facing a persistent instability issue with my Dell Vostro 5471 and would greatly appreciate your expertise. I've successfully installed macOS Monterey, but the main problem is booting itself. It takes about 10 to 15 reboot attempts for OpenCore to successfully boot from the USB drive. Once it boots, the system runs perfectly stable.
This issue occurs both when booting from the USB and from the internal SSD (after copying the EFI). This leads me to believe the problem lies within my EFI configuration, not the installation itself.
Here are my specs and details:
* **Model:** Dell Vostro 5471
* **CPU:** Intel Core i5-8250U (Kaby Lake R)
* **GPU:** Intel UHD 620 (dGPU Radeon 530 is disabled via -wegnoegpu)
* **RAM:** 8GB DDR4
* **Storage:** SATA SSD
* **Audio Codec:** Realtek ALC256 (using ALC3246 layout)
* **Wi-Fi/BT:** Intel AC 3165
* **OpenCore Version:** 0.8.8
* **SMBIOS:** MacBookPro15,2
**The Problem:**
When I select the OpenCore USB from the boot menu, most of the time it results in a black screen, and the system reboots or hangs. After trying this repeatedly (power cycling the machine), it eventually boots successfully into the OpenCore picker and then into macOS. There are no kernel panics or verbose text on failed attempts; it just fails silently before the verbose log even starts.
My goal is to install macOS Sonoma, but I decided to start with Monterey

Is my disk supported or not?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I just ask it to be sure.
I have a acer swift 3, with a 5625U. It has a SK Hynix SSD. I know that is not supported (looked at the dortania docs). I ran opencore-simplify to check what hardware is suported. It says that the SK Hynix (Gold P31/BC711/PC711 NVMe Solid State Drive) isn't compatible. But it says that FCH SATA Controller is compatible. Does this mean its supported?
Here is the hardware list of Opencore-Simplify (I have a other supported wifi adapter btw)

Monterey upgrade failure
Tried to uodate my Catalina Opencore hack to Monterey and experienced a stall out at 40-50 percent load. Updated my Config.plist with new 18,3 smbios info as on a Z270 7700K. Optimized it removing deprecated and unnecessay options. Updated opencore to 104. Reset Nvram. Turned on verbose boot to see repeated error message "disk1 is not present" and disk1 tx-enter failed. My boot drive though is a Samsung 970 Evo Plus with latest firmware according to Magician so not sure whats going on. Reinstalling Monterey now after wiping disk in Diskutlity. Hopefully that will help.

Mac OS installer hang
My Mac OS installer is hanging. The recovery works just fine but the second phase or when you boot back on the install it gets stuck at around 45 percent. I tried verbose mode in the plist but it doesn’t show anything. I’m installing on a usb I installed mac os just fine on my ssd (internal) but for some reason it isnt working on my usb. I am installing mac OS Big Sur. My device is surface pro 7 i5 ice lake.

Zenith II Extreme/3960X/5700XT stuck at EXITBS: start
I swear i tried nearly everything! I can't boot my installed Sequoia SSD with this system, neither can i install Sonoma from a flash drive. Can any of you guys have a look at me EFI to tell me what the hell i'm doing wrong? I can provide you with further information anytime and if somebody gets my system to boot i am even willing to paypal you 10$ or something. Atp i am really frustrated and i had a lot of Hackintosh systems in my life. This platform is really hard to get to work.

I have a InstallAssistant.pkg which is 12.1GB in size, is this enough for MacOS Monterey, and if so, how do I transfer (copy) this to a 32GB 3.0 usb stick?
So I download a MacOS Monterey .pkg, like the title insists, and I want to ask if it is possible to copy this onto my Windows 11 Pro PC, I do not have a Mac.

Help with HP Prodesk 400 G2 Mini Skylake!

512 NVME Samsung (from an HP spectre)
Device:
HP prodesk 400 G2 mini DM Skylake No dGPU only iGPU
Want:
To run Macos 26 Tahoe, or the next latest like 15, 14, or 13 if not possible.
Issue:
When running Tahoe installer, after install, boots to a white screen with only a cursor, tried multiple boot args, disabling and enabling iGPU, no luck.
What I need from Reddit:
Help to diagnose and solve this issue.

Changing keyboard repeat speed affects speed in other OS. How to fix?
I increased the repeat speed in mac, because it was extremely slow. But now in other OS, for example Ubuntu (is on another disk), the repeat speed has become crazy. My keyboard is CoolerMaster Masterkeys. How to fix this? It turns out that macOS writes this data to NVRAM and this affects other OS?

Installing MacOS Sequoia results into bootloop
I've ran Ventura for a very long time and I wanted to upgrade to Sequoia. I downloaded the installer from the app store, clicked install and let it do its thing. Now if my PC reboots into MacOS Installer or Macintosh HD (MacOS disk), it spins out all logs and 2 things happen:
1. Or it does kernel pathes of some kind using patchd and after it has copied that it reboots
2. Or it spins out logs and reboots within 5 sec.
I have a A520M H with a ryzen 5600G and a RX6600.
