Natively supported GPU not recognized
Okay,
I need OS X Mavericks on my computer for some old software. I thought this would be easy because my HD Graphics 5200 is natively supported by 10.9, but for some reason it cant load the GPU Driver. I tried to inject a different device id and framebuffer using OpenCore, but that had no effect. How can I force OS X to use a GPU that is NATIVELY SUPPORTED but for some reason not recognized?

OC: Invalid Vault mode
Quick question. I am trying to boot from my EFI usb, but i keep getting the error "OC: Invalid Vault mode". Some dude on tonymacx86.com said to change SetVaultMode in Misc/Security to Optional but it didnt work, i keep getting the same error. What should i do? This is my first hackintosh so please dont bee too rude if i dont know something. (btw i tried changing some config.plist settings, didnt work too)

Any disadvantages to leaving sip disabled? Looking on Google I see people saying it’s fine to, I see some say don’t, and I see some say do it only temporarily. Currently running Sonoma 😉 and Ventura and debating which way to lean. I do like running the newer macOS….

So, I'm attempting to use my gaming PC (Coffee Lake, i7-9700, H310C chipset). I've got my kexts in place and smbios generated, install was successful. When doing the install I had to make a few changes to the .plist (as you would) one of those changes was adding a boot arg -igfxvesa (is required for it to display after loading). Removing the previously stated boot arg would result in my display not working on the loading screen when the bar gets almost half way there. Then I restore my EFI folder (backed up to my server) it would then work again. I am unsure what the issue would be on that. I'll have my plist attached below for any assistance.
I've asked on the discord server but people keep saying frame buffer issue, but im not sure what the framebuffer should be as according to whatevergreen my framebuffer is set correctly. I'll be happy to answer any questions, bear with me as this is my first time doing any Hackintosh.

More or less normal processor, but old videocard - Is it possible to run macOS?
I have a PC - Asus Prime B450M-A II, Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM, and ancient GTS450 videocard (there is no possibility to update yet)
The messages from the Internet are different - somewhere it says that my videocard is not supported, somewhere - that there is support but the maximum OS is 10.13
Using OpenCore and 10.13.6 installer I managed to get as far as the Apple logo, after half of the loading the monitor just goes out.
Is it possible to try my luck in running MacOS on my PC?

Help signing OpenCore for secure boot
I bought a laptop today with lost bios password so i can't disable secure boot to install mac. I found out OpenCore can be booted with secure boot enabled as well but i am having trouble with it. I tried this one:

Trying to Hackintosh a modded T420

Success on GTX 1070 with i3 9100 (OCLP 1.5.0) on Sonoma 14.6.1
I tried various times before and couldn't do it bc I didn't know the kit opencore downloads has to match the OS build. In my case I didn't know for it to patch the kernel it has to say
System Software Overview:
System Version: macOS 14.6.1 (23G93)
on the System Report. So I updated to it from 14.5 and it worked. I also enabled the Intel Graphics using the reverse platform id method so it matched, and I followed this guide from elitemacx86 to get it to not turn off the monitor during login. Anyways if anybody has any questions let me know.

Problem:
I will not be able to tell many details as i am not even sure what is the problem as i Followed everything as the Guide.I used the Dortania Opencore Guide. I did Everything As suggested in the guide. I used This Guide to check what happens in the boot process. Mostly things happen in the same way, tho at the end instead of the Apple booting thing, My monitor turns off. I first suspected that this might be a USB Mapping issue so i rebuilt my kexts and booted again, tho My monitor is still turning off. Frustrating #EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START getting stuck!
Let me start off by saying: I have read many many posts about this error, but none of them seem to apply.
It seems that most of the time, that error is caused by incorrectly configured config.plists, or using unsupported hardware. I know I probably have something misconfigured myself, but as far as I'm aware I should have the correct Kexts that I need and the correct SSDTs that I need.
My hardware also should be supported, as it's just a Sandy Bridge CPU with a GCN 1.0 AMD Graphics Card. I'm pretty sure the issue is not USB related as I'm using a 2.0 slot, and even when I tried copying the install files to the SSD it still didn't boot!
Enough rambling though, here are my specs:
- GPU: AMD R5 240 (GCN 1.0)
- CPU: Intel Core i3-2120 (Sandy Bridge)
- Motherboard: Asus P8H61-m LE/USB3 (Supports UEFI)
- Storage: Honestly not exactly sure. It's some random sata SSD but that should be totally fine
Other important notes:
- I've read over Dortania's troubleshooting steps. Nothing worked.
- I'm targeting Monterey, though even with Big Sur and High Sierra the install still couldn't get past that error.
- I tried DebugEnhancer. It quite literally didn't do anything (at least in the log files).
- I'm using a custom EFI made from following Dortania's OpenCore install guide.
- I checked a config.plist sanity checker and everything seemed fine.
- I've updated my firmware to the latest version from ASUS's website.
- Once the #\[EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START\] gets printed, the keyboard stops working.

I'm quite confused. This looks like everything should work properly but I just can't seem to make it any further in the install. I'm deeply sorry if this is a simple config option that I missed, but honestly it's difficult to tell since a lot of other posts about this problem seem to be caused by using unsupported hardware or AMD CPUs with the wrong Kexts. However at first glance my configuration should totally work, or at the very least it should fail somewhere else.
The last thing I'll say though is: I'm a bit certain this is caused by my UEFI as there's hardly any options (despite this being a desktop) and things like VT-d aren't even in there. It's possible that there might be some config.plist option that needs to be changed for this UEFI or some setting that I missed in the UEFI itself (which is unlikely since there's hardly any options to go through). However I'm not entirely sure as I still don't even know why it's failing.
