How to improve performance on MacOS Sonoma?
I installed a MacOS Sonoma on the i7 6700k (HD 530), the system seems to work quickly but the animations lag and it is unpleasant to use the system, is the built-in too weak for the system or did I set up the EFI incorrectly? There is graphic acceleration, 1500 MB and all that.

Crash while booting after update
Hi,
I've updated to macOS sonoma 14.6.1 , I've updated all the kexts and disabled secure boot before starting the update, but after installing the update, macOS crashes while booting at the loading screen.
I initially had macOS 14.3 and I've updated it to 14.5 and it worked. But when updated from 14.5 to 14.6.1 , it started this issue.
Please help me anyone! 🙏🏻.

Cant boot into MacOS recovery
Hi, after doing a lot of fixes to my pc cuz I couldnt boot into macos recovery, still, j cant boot into it.
Basically, after selecting macos recovery, the display become black and send me back were to choose the boot option (bootcamp windows, resetvram etc.)
Does someone know how to fix this issue?

AMD Radeon Pro WX 2100 (Lexa) in MacOS Sonoma 14.7
Hello,
I needed a very low-power and budget friendly GPU, only dedicated for pure bureautic tasks such as browsing or writing my lessons 'cause I'm a student at the Université. I managed to get my hands on a cheap AMD Radeon Pro WX 2100 2GB for 30 Euros second hand, shipping included. Fair price honnestly. It's a Lexa-core based GPU, basically a Pro RX 550. Single-slot, very compact... The perfect bet despite being quite noisy... The fully supported Radeon Pro WX 4100 is more expensive tho for not that much difference in term of raw power with the little WX 2100.
To make it working under MacOS, you need to spoof it with Baffin-core based RX 550 device-id : FF67. How ? Find your GPU path with Hackintool (or gfxutil) and right click on it : copy device path (not the ioreg one) and do exactly what the picture is showing in your config.plist in DeviceProperties/Add section. The model string is purely cosmetic : you can rename it "RTX 4090 AMD Edition" if you want. I didn't add neither any boot-args or SSDTs nor specific kexts : only WhateverGreen.kext.
Don't mind the PCIe path of audio above.
Pros : you can have a cheap GPU working under MacOS. Every outputs work such as Display port and the two Mini Dispay-Ports.
Cons : DRM contents in Safari not working such as Netflix. Hackintool shows "VDA decoder failed" even if hardware acceleration works perfectly. I honnestly don't care 'cause I'm using Chrome ! If someone has an idea, how to fix it just for pure Mac experience (lol)... As I saw on the web, it's a common "issue" for Lexa spoofed GPUs.

Success but no wifi
Hi all.
I managed to get this system running on amd. Problem is, I don’t have wifi despite having added Kexts for it, so I’m wondering if it’s because of my wifi card or usb dongle?
I have the asus pce-ac88 wifi card.
Also a realtek usb wifi dongle which I know is not compatible. I read comments that some people managed to get the asus pce-ac68 working, but I don’t know why the 88 version doesn’t work, are they different ?
I tried airportltlwm, and tried airportbrcmfixup kexts. No luck.

14700k Hackintosh with 6600XT, 6700XT (Unsupported Unofficial drivers) OR 6800XT?
Hi i need help deciding what to best gpu for a Hackintosh build. I honestly like the 6700xt with 12 gb but you see the unofficial drivers..yah i feel to skip this. The 6600xt.. I like it but you see it's performance is less than a 4060 8gb and yea 8 gb is a no no. The 6800XT seems great. Specifically the dell Alienware model. I think i'm sticking to that unless someone here convince me i don't need a 6800xt. Cheers thanks. :)

How to hide the command line on boot

I installed MacOS sonoma, fixed all the problems and now I don't need the command line, I want to see the apple logo during boot instead, but didn't find a working wayI tried different options, for example, I switched the bootloader from the debug version to the release version, removed bootargs like "debug=0x100", disabled debugging options in the config, but it doesn't have any effect

Opencore doesn't boot
Hi, I'm trying to install MacOS Sonoma on my laptop.
I performed the spoofing following Dortiana's guide, I finish setting the config.plist but as soon as I boot from the USB, Opencore doesn't start. I tried to change from Release to Debug and I noticed that, indeed, Opencore starts but that it hangs on the line "Assuming DP is short-form (prefix)". Checking the log it appears that it actually went ahead but crashed.
The problem seems to be solved by changing the boot mode from UEFI to Legacy Support but then it gets stuck on the Apple logo with the loading bar.

Ok to post eBay links to my Hackintosh parts?
I have a very stable iMac 10850k, 6800xt, running Ventura and OC 1.0.0. My M1 Max MBP has replaced my Hack and I’d like to sell off the parts. I didn’t see a rule against posting links to parts. I did a lot of research to make a very compatible and full featured Hackintosh. The only thing that isn’t fully functional is Thunderbolt hot-plug, devices have plugged in on boot. If allowed and anyone is interested I can post the parts list and links. I’d consider selling the whole thing minus the EFI.

Macos Sonoma on HP elitebook 835 g8
hello guys i have tried to fix some last issues with my macos installation curent problems are:
1. sound controller (integrated mic and speakers) not showing up in hackintool with appleALC or voodoohda kexts
2. wierd problem with bluetooth when my iphone says that mac is not supported (other devices work fine)
3. brightness can't be controlled (not a big issue for me)
4. integrated webcam showing but no picture
System specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U with Radeon Graphics
GPU: Cezanne [Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series\]
WIFI/BT card: intel dual band AC 8260
sound controller: unfortunatly i don't know :(

WiFi connection error
I initially used the AirportItlwm kext for Wi-Fi during the installation of macOS Sonoma 14.6, but it consistently stopped working after 2-3 reboots. I switched to the Itlwm kext with HeliPort, which works well, but it won’t connect to Wi-Fi networks secured with WPA2. Is there a solution for this?

Wifi freezes after downloaded 10 MB
Hi all.
I managed to get the system running and installed big sur wifi adapter from chris111.
Issue is, wifi works and everythings fine and good until I download a file on safari or Firefox that exceeds 10 mb or so, and the internet just stops working, and I would need to restart the pc.
What is going on?

Realtek 5Gbs Family Controller (RTL8126) ethernet: anyone aware of working kexts?
I have a Asus Z790 Formula as my motherboard. It comes equipped with a Realtek 5Gbs Family Controller (RTL8126) ethernet. I can't get the ethernet to work. I was hoping there would be some cross compatibility between the LucyRTL8125Ethernet.kext, but doesn't seem like it wants to play.
Anyone aware of any solutions?

I'm stuck :(
Been trying for days, custom SSDTs, prebuilts, restarting from the beginning, Ive used OC Sanity Checker to make sure I'm not missing anything critical as well, tried searching, and more searching, using GPT4 etc. I am not making any progress though I keep getting to the same point and then nothing.
I boot the usb, I have the NVRAM reset efi file, its in my config, press space in the open core boot selection menu, the selector tool changes to a greater than symbol so I think thats working, a bunch of white text flies through the screen faster than I can read and doesnt match the text in my log file. Then the screen goes black, and then the backlight for the screen comes on, keyboard and mouse are lit up, but the screen stays blank. Let it sit for 30 mins one time, nothing changed.
I followed the dortania guide. I mapped my USB ports made sure they all had a device, selected them, there was 14 so under the 15 limit, and I configured my bios as well per the guide. My specs and my file structure:

Hip hip - MacOS Sonoma on my 10 years old MacBook Pro
It seems everyone posts there as it would be such achievement . To be honest for me it worked without much struggle, and strangely intriguing is that on usb it kind of failed, I couldn't properly mount efi ( stupid me - it was formatted in hfs+ I believe ) , it worked straight by using installer on disk and even running it from within macOS Big Sur, couple of restarts and voila ! Hello fellow sonomersants - now I am getting cheeky - frankly thinking to install macOS 15 beta :D bye ! !

No boot entry after installing sonoma
I successfully(?) installed mac os sonoma, but the only entry I have on bootloader is installer, not the actual boot partition, I did everything mentioned in https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/troubleshooting/extended/opencore-issues.html#can-t-see-macos-partitions but still nothing
