Choosing mac on GenSMBIOS
I'm attempting Sonoma on a thinkpad t470s (Kaby lake, two cores). The dortania guide example for Kaby Lake used MacBookPro14,1, howere this didn't work for Sonoma, and when looking at apples website, I can confirm that this macbook does not support Sonoma, and it doesn't look like any of the compatible macs has dual cores like 14,1.

Hello! I may need some assistance
I'm trying to install MacOS Big Sur on a laptop with an Intel Celeron N4500 and hit this tiny problem "&gefidpcprotocolguid already installed in database".
In this Google Drive link there is the EFI folder and latest Log from my attempt to boot the installer.
I've read a post about someone with the same problem but it didn't have many answers, but from what I understood it could be a problem with the drivers.

Kernel Panics
Hi All,
I managed to successfully boot my hackintosh and have been using it for audio production for the last month or so, every now and again I experience a kernel panic that seems to be related to bluetooth.. The latest half way through a recording session on Logic. I'm running Sonoma 14.5 on the below hardware. OCB: StartImage failed - Aborted
*Thinkpad T470S, Kabylake.
*Note that the internal SSD is completely wiped. I thought I saw something in the Dortania guide about some files that would be automatically gathered from the windows installation, but I could not find this part again. Maybe this is the issue?
*I looked through the troubleshooting part of the guide, and it looks like this would fall under the Kernel Issues category(?). I can't really make sense of the kernel troubleshooting. All help is greately appreciated.

Cheapest CPU to run Catalina?
I have an old PC lying around but I think the CPU and mobo is toast. The only reason I want to build it is so I can encode video with alpha into HEVC to play on video with alpha on Safari. Otherwise I've owned a Mac for 7 years awhile back and hated it. I have no other uses for this hackintosh.
Looking to build something with small form factor and would like to only spend $100-$150 because at $200 I can get an old MacBook pro late 2012.
I have:
16 GB of ram
GTX 760
850 watt power supply
2 SSDs 500 GB a piece
What kind of cheap Intel processor would you recommend and the Mobo to go with it?

startup problem support.apple.com/mac/startup
There is a problem with booting the usb stick via bios, clicking on macOS Recovery, it either gets stuck on the apple logo or comes up with support.apple.com/mac/startup

Wifi Cards/Wifi Adapters or ethernet wifi adapters (prefferred) which can be used with sonoma and during the installation.
I have a HP 15s-du1016tu with an RTL8821CE (unsupported on macOS) and am clueless on how to install macOS and get it working without wifi (the laptop is out of range/i am not willing to use an ethernet cable, but i can use an ethernet wifi adapter). Just for context I am in Australia and would like to get one that can ship to australia or be sold in australia

Socket 1150 build
Ok, I know this isn’t going to be an absurdly fast build but hear me out….
I currently have a Mac Pro 5,1 using open core to run Monterey. This is a severely upgraded rig, I’ve 64gb of ddr3, titan ridge thunderbolt, 2x1tb and 4x3tb hdd in raid, a native Apple wifi/bluetooth card, rx580. It runs Monterey with no additional kexts etc.
I’m starting to hit problems with not having avx support but don’t want to spend a fortune, so I figured I could get a socket 1150 motherboard and a 4790k cpu, then transplant all the rest of my hardware and hackintosh it for not much money (the 64gb of ddr3 being the limiting factor here).
Is this a stupid idea?
What mobo would be best? Needs 4xpcie slots and 8 ram slots.
What case? I need to fit four hdd and 2 ssd.

macOS Ventura on i5 3570
Hi guys so i have monterey installed on i5 3570 and RX 580 and it works fine, but i want to upgrade it to Ventura or Sonoma, can i just update it and it will go without any issues or will i encounter bootloops because i read somewhere i5 3570 is not longer supported or something, i'm new to hackintosh so i don't know, or can i do something to make it work, its old hardware but still

[HP ProBook x360 440 G1, Ventura] stuck at "fTimerServiceMatching timed out, fNotifications 0"
This is my first try on hackintoshing on my laptop HP ProBook x360 440 G1, for quick specs:
SSD: Western Digital SN520 256GB (NVME)
CPU: Intel Core i3-8130U (Kaby Lake)
GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620
Laptop has touchpad, keyboard and touchscreen
When I try to boot and install (through dmg) and wait for couple seconds, I always get stuck at two exact lines that output
AppleIntelLpssI2CController::_serviceMatchingTimeSubr: fTimerServiceMatching timed out, fNotifications 0
I have also attached an image of incomplete logs. The log files in the USB drive only logs till "\[EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START\]"
I did have some problems before:
* "This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this platform!" before I added -no\_compat\_check as an arg
* When pressing space, I tried to boot through the same USB drive without DMG, causing me to wait for a minute and after that, my laptop shutting down; so I have to boot with DMG
Here's what I have tried:
* Disabling all laptop inputs (VoodooPS2, VoodooI2C, VoodooRMI, etc)
* Installing NVMeFix (after realizing my drive is NVMe, added it to config.plist)
* Disable and re-enable option "SetupVirtualMap"
* Connecting a keyboard
Just incase, I also got my ACPI files from SSDTTime (EC-USBX and SSDT-PLUG)

OpenCore errors and OTA update not working
Hi,
my Sonoma 14.6 setup works fine. But I still get OpenCore errors when booting into MacOS. I already created my own .aml files using SSDTime. This changed nothing.
I can see the errors directly on selecting MacOS.

Any tips how to get rid of them? Somehow I can't believe that this is intended.
And maybe those errors are a problem for a problem when I want to update:
I tried to install 14.6.1 update. It gets downloaded and MacOS reboots into the installer, which does some file copying for like 5-7 minutes (as I can see it in verbose). But after rebooting back into MacOS the update isn't installed and need to get downloaded again. The MacOS Installer entry in OC is still there.

Regarding XFX RX 6600 compatibility
Hello!
I'm thinking about making my own Hackintosh, and thus I'll be upgrading my GPU from a RX 6400 to a RX 6600. Searching a bit on this subreddit, I managed to find some comments saying that the RX 6600 Sapphire works straight out of the box, whereas the XFX doesn't and might require BIOS flashing.
The issue is, the hardware shops where I live only sell the ASUS RX 6600 and the XFX RX 6600, I can't seem to find the Sapphire model.
With this, I have 2 questions:
1. Does the ASUS model RX 6600 work better than the XFX?
2. From what I managed to read on other forums, the XFX RX 6600 has a BIOS switch. Is it possible I can make 2 different bios configs if needed (one for Windows & the other one for my Hackintosh)?

Advice on iMac G4 to M1?
Hi, I have a Mac Mini M1 and at last a iMac G4 15". How would I integrate the M1 board into the G4 without soldering or re-wiring? Seen lots of guides online that require re-wiring. I've found a 3D printable mount to mount the M1 and M1 power supply into the G4.

Screen Resize Jitter/Lag
My Hack Spec:
Processor: Intel i7 7700
RAM: 16 Gb 2400Mhz
SSD: Transcend m.2 sata 240Gb
MacOS: Sonoma
GPU: RX 570 8Gb (Acceleration is fine)
MacOS running just fine. but Whenever i try to minimize/maximize windows, its extremely laggy.
Since I can't post video here, its happening with every apps.
Also, scrolling was laggy too, but i found macmousefix which did some noticeable difference. so its taken care of. I believe some systemwide terminal command will help that too, but its working just fine.
Any help is appreciated. P.S: It also happens in Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma

Whenever I install something on my laptop that's NOT macOS Catalina, my computer installs other macOS Versions but, whenever I boot it restarts like... 10 times! Someone help please!

Intel HD620 - flickering and glitches in Fusion 360
Hi,
I have Sonoma 14.6 on my Lenovo Yoga 710-14ikb running. I disabled the dGPU and use the Intel HD620. It's showing 2048MB memory (I have 16GB RAM if it matters). The transparency effects are working fine and the performance is decent, I think.
I also can use my 3D printing slicer (Bambu Studio) without any issues.
But I noticed, when I use Fusion 360, especially in full screen, the screen starts to flicker and sometimes it even glitches with frozen images fading away. When I switch back to non-fullscreen it works again - sometimes at least.
I also tried Fusion 360 on Windows 11 without dGPU where the performance is way better and there's also absolutely no flickering at all.
The fans are also spinning at high speed while the body doesn't feel warm at all - on Windows it's not the same, the fans aren't spinning that much and the laptops body feel way warmer.
I didn't noticed this issue in other programs, yet. Maybe you have an idea how to test it on others.

How do I disable firmware throttling with opencore on Monteray (I know the group if for hackentoshing but I dont know where else to ask for help)
I just got the Macbook Late 2008 for 40 euros, and opencored it with a ssd but becuse the battery is not in the Macbook its so slow. I saw the option in opencore to disable firmware throttling, but when I click it and then go back and rebuild open core its the same. The option is not checked
