Need help creating a hackinrosh!
I have a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and RTX 3060. Is there any way to build a hackinstosh with this hardware.
I also have two SSDs. So if I wanted can I install macOS on a partition on the second SSD or I will need to use the full SSD for the installation?

Anyone done a Hackintosh GPU passthrough VM with something like Parsec
I would like to know if its possible to do something similar to running Windows VMs on Linux with QEMU/KVM while getting low latency 4k 120hz hopefully using something like LookingGlass which Parsec might be but I've never used it before.
Would love to be able to run MacOS in Linux rather than dual booting.
Has anyone tried this?

Any fix for Chromium based browsers ?
I successfully installed the Sonoma on my :
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: AMD RX 570
MotherBoard: Gigabyte A320M-S2H
RAM: 16GB DDR4
SSD: ADATA SU650 240GB SATA
SONOMA 16.4 with iMac19,1
Everything is smooth and getting full scores of Geekbench compared to my Windows.
But as soon as I start using Google chrome/Brave/Arc/Chromium browsers they are too slow. Google Maps hangs too much but
Firefox and Safari based browsers works flawlessly.
I tried GPU flags but nothing worked.
Is there any fix or it is what it is ?

Firefox really slow on Sonoma on OptiPlex 9020 SFF / spoofing RX 550 Lexa
I recently switched from my OptiPlex 9020 running Catalina with Clover to Sonoma with OpenCore. However, Firefox is extremely slow (Brave seems fine, oddly), like it takes 20ish seconds to respond to anything (opening a new tab, clicking on anything, opening a menu etc). I've read around that since the iGPU isn't technically supported on Sonoma (I did run OCLP after install, but the issue persists), it might be due to Metal etc.
Could I throw in something like an RX 550 to fix the issue? I'm not entirely sure if the problem is the HD 4600, Sonoma, or firefox. I do have an RX550, but its the Lexa variant, so I would need to spoof it. I have read reports on this sub that some were successful in doing that. Any thoughts / suggestions?

NTFS for Mac can't write on disk has format Windows NTFS
Hello everyone.
I have a SSD and I installed hackintosh Sonoma (14.5) on that. I also have a HDD to store my data and an external portable drive. I installed NTFS for Mac to work with these drives.
My HDD has format Windows NTFS and NTFS for Mac can't write to it. But my external portable drive has format Microsoft NTFS and I can both read and write. What is difference between Windows NTFS and Microsoft NTFS? What can I do to have write permission on my HDD?

- Changed from debug OC to release
- installed a few apps like ad blocking and got an apple ID on it

Getting audio to work (without alcid boot flag)
Hi,
I've managed to get audio to work in my laptop using AppleALC with alcid=21 (the codec is ALC287).
I've then followed the post install instructions to make the audio config permanent. Using gfxutil -f HDEF, I got this: PciRoot(0x1)/Pci(0x8,0x1)/Pci(0x0,0x6).
So I've created a Dictionary with this name under DeviceProperties -> Add, and in it I created a layout-id field of type integer (using Xplist as the plist editor), and put 21 as the value. Of course, I then removed the alcid=21 boot flag.
After a reboot, macOS doesn't list any audio output devices. What am I doing wrong?

So i installed it... What next?
So i sucessfully installed like every version since Snow Leopard on my PCs or Laptops i had. Last one was on Lenovo L440 and my main PC which is 5800X3D and 6800XT. But whenever i install it, i just end up using Windows for everything as im too lazy to do restart and boot to other OS all the time. Specially because ReBar doesent work and i would need to enable that every time i switch OS. (Maybe im wrong on this one?)
What do you do? Do you use it like for everyday tasks, work? Do you reboot to Windows when you wanna play games? What makes you install it on first place and go make yourself through hell to make it usable?
I know that feeling when it finally boots after few days of reading, trying every possible combination in config.plist, searching for kexts etc. but that dopamine shot i got from every time i make it usable is what keeps me doing it and after few days i forget about it.

Hi Folks, I originally posted this on the OCLP reddit page but it has dropped down the list without anyone having an idea. Not sure if it is too obscure or too difficult to diagnose on a forum like this.
I have a MacBook Pro 9,2. OCLP 1.5.0 Currently on Catalina (10.15.7), I had another one which worked without issue that I gave to my brother and this one which I aim to be for my daughter. I have re-started and installed lots of times. Currently just erased (APFS and GUID) on everything and clean instal macOS. Catalina wanted an upgrade so I did that first. Then downloaded OCLP 1.5.0 but as it has done on the many times I have been down this route (with High Sierra as well) . As the title says it won't root patch and subsequently won't upgrade to Ventura (my aim). I have replaced the HDD with a refurbished SSD.
Anyone able to guide me through it. Thanks in advance.

Boot Mismatch Error - Dell Inspiron N5110
I am unable to boot into Opencore, due to a boot mismatch error. It eventually shows me the opencore boot device screen, but I can't do anything at all. I am worried i have made a mistake with one of my kexts or my Config.Plist as i am a First time hackintosher. Any Help would be much appreciated. I am trying to install MacOS High Sierra Using Dortania's Opencore Install Guide.

I'm currently running macOS Sonoma 14.6 on my Hackintosh, and I'm having trouble getting the Bluetooth to work properly. My motherboard is the MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk WiFi.
I've tried a few different things, but I haven't had much luck. Has anyone else managed to get Bluetooth working on a similar setup? If so, could you share what you did or any specific kexts or patches you used?

Nvidia Web drivers not detected by OCLP
Hi, i've been trying to patch the GTX 950 graphics card on macos ventura and I followed every step of the dortania guide but despite all the changes I do on the config.plist, OCLP still doesn't detect nvidia web drivers and only shows Intel Skylake patches. Is there something I'm missing? Because I know it can be done.

I've injected EDID into my Hackintosh Sonoma, I can confirm that it has been applied, but still macOS doesn't recognize it.
