HELP Intel i3-8100 UHD 630 blank screen after verbose.
Hello, I'm trying to setup hack sonoma on a ThinkCentre m720s tower. It goes to a blank screen. I'm using the VGA connector to connect the display and the tower does not have an HDMI port. I have tried patching the Bus IDs with all 18 combinations but none worked. BIOS has Video memory set to 64MB. Detailed specs are these:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-8100 CPU @ 3.60GHz
GPU: Intel® UHD Graphics 630
Chipset: B360
EFI Link
Any help will be appreciated

Why macOS from AppStore and gibmacOS different ?

No boot with resizable BAR on - AMD RX 580
My hackintosh doesn't boot when resizable bar is enabled in BIOS. There's no problem at all when it's disabled. I tried to set ResizeAppleGpuBar to 0 in config.plist as mentioned in the documentation but it doesn't change anything. I'd like to enable it since my main gpu is a 4080 and I get a few extra fps when ReBAR is on.
My guess is that since the RX 580 doesn't support ReBAR, the hackintosh machine won't boot when it's enabled. So ideally there would be a way to enable it for my Nvidia card, and disable it for the AMD one.
Any suggestion ?

Injecting EDID: Lifesaver or waste of time?
I've set up a macOS Sonoma on my PC. It has an i7-7700 and HD Graphics 630.
My monitor is an ancient Dell display with a resolution of 1440x900.
macOS Settings doesn't have any 16:10 resolutions, so I tried infinite 3rd-party tools, but none worked well. I realized that even when I manually set the resolution to 1440x900, the monitor thinks it's 800x600 (ouch). The interesting part is that when I set display resolution via macOS Settings, the monitor at least recognizes it correctly, so stretching it to fit (which is not good for the eyes).
After hours of investigation, I noticed that the problem is because macOS simply can't recognize my display resolution and settings correctly, falling back to default 16:9 resolutions.
With all of these being said, do you think that patching the EDID and manually adding my resolution make it work?

Hackintool generated EDID patches, but I can't copy them
I managed to set up my Hackintosh, which runs on macOS Sonoma, after facing many challenges and fixing errors. One issue I encountered was that my monitor's resolution was 1440 x 900, but this resolution wasn't available in the macOS settings. I tried using third-party apps to manually select this resolution, but my monitor couldn't detect it and displayed the image in a stretched and distorted manner. The only available resolutions in the OS settings were 16:9, which didn't solve my problem.
A friend suggested that I could manually patch the EDID to add the desired resolution so that macOS could recognize it. I tried several solutions, but none of them worked. It became apparent that my monitor wasn't injecting any EDID at all. I then used Hackintool to add my custom resolutions, but when I generated the kexts and other files, I couldn't paste them into the required directory due to permissions restrictions.
After extensive research, I learned that disabling System Integrity Protection might allow me to paste files into those directories. However, this wasn't working in Sonoma. Is there any way to copy files into those directories, such as /System/Library/Extensions/?

6950 XT Horrible Encoding
I recently upgraded to a 6950 XT and successfully spoofed it, but the encoding while watching youtube and netflix is horrible. Is there any way to fix this? It's not an internet issue, that much I do know. Videos and movies are pixelated. Currently running macOS Ventura and will probably upgrade to Sonoma soon.

Hackintosh Boot Issues
Hi everyone,
I'm working on setting up a Hackintosh on my HP EliteBook 840 G3 and I'm running into some persistent issues. I could really use your help!
Here’s a summary of what’s happening:
After installing macOS Sonoma on my SATA SSD, the computer reboots and tries to boot from the internal SSD, which leads to “Boot Device Not Found, please install an operating system.” There was also an option with the internal disk icon, but selecting it led to the same “Boot Device Not Found, please install an operating system” message.
I thought the installation might have gone wrong, so I tried reinstalling, but the issue remains unchanged.
Since the operating system was installed but couldn't start, I copied the EFI folder from the USB to the EFI partition of the internal SSD from the recovery environment.
After copying the EFI folder from the USB to my internal SSD using the Terminal in macOS Recovery, I'm still stuck in a boot loop. The system reboots, automatically selects the SSD to continue, enters verbose mode, then reboots again, and so on in a loop.
Despite copying the EFI folder from macOS Recovery and using the Terminal, the system continues to restart continuously.
The “Boot Device Not Found” error and the verbose log indicate potential issues with OpenCore configuration or missing files.
I'm looking for guidance on:
- What might be missing or misconfigured in OpenCore?
- Are there any other troubleshooting steps I should try?
I’ve included an image of the last lines of the verbose log before the automatic reboot.
I’ve already made the following BIOS adjustments:
- **Intel Software Guard Extensions (SGX)** -> Disabled
- Unchecked **“Fast Boot”
- Unchecked **“Legacy Boot Order”
- Checked **“UEFI Boot Order”**
- Disabled **Legacy Support** and **Secure Boot**
- Checked **“Hyperthreading”**

When the GPU full load(4k video, decode), the frequency will be up to 3\~4Ghz, sometimes will reach at 7Ghz few seconds.
The GFX REQ is the correct request, but the GFX AVG will be over 1.15ghz, It's easy to recurrence using the intel power gadget(ver3.7.0) this issue.

The CPU will run at 400\~800Mhz, the system will be lagging. only the video plays smoothly.
10710U GPU base frequency is 1.15Ghz, Why so extremely high. I test in win11 never over 1.15Ghz.
What I do but not working
Change the platformlnfo Model: MacBookPro15,4/MacBookPro16,2/MacBookPro16,3/MacBookPro16,4/iMac20,1/iMac20,2.
Thinkpad T14s cannot turn off CFG-lock, even the ru.efi, the bios have write protect.

I Google and found many similar cases like me since 2020. this issue will recur on laptop 10210u/10510u/10710u the screenshot from Intel Power gadget the GFX AVG(Green line) will be over 1.15ghz.

My hackintiosh is very laggy
I'm new to hackintosh and wanted to try it out. Everything worked but it was very slow my mouse was jumping and when I opend an app or youtube it lagged like hell I could not rellay on my mouse and needed to force close the app. I don't know why it was happening like that. Could anybody help me fix this?

Lenovo ThinkStation P520
My ThinkStation P520 came with Xeon W-2135 6 core 12 threads CPU. I was able to boot into the installer for macOS Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura and Sonoma successfully With the same EFI( if you are interested i can share it). I know support for my Nvidia Quadro K600 Kepler card was dropped in Monterey so im using OCLP to patch it on Monterey to Sonoma. But it works natively in Big Sur(Placeholder until I get an AMD 5700xt).
There are currently 2 issues that I'm facing
• No matter what I try it will not get past the initial boot stage of macOS Sequoia Beta With my EFI.. Maybe I have to wait for the actual release of Sequoia.
• MacOS doesn't recognize my exact CPU name so it only shows as unknown. (I have tried using processortype decimals 3842 and 3841 but still shows as unknown)I don't know if it has to with the fact that there were no 6 Core Xeon W shipped with the imacPro 2017. I'm using Imac pro 1,1 smbios.
If you can help me with these issues I will be glad 😊 Thanks.
