Can't activate hardware acceleration on HD Graphics 4000 - Ivy Bridge
Hello everyone, I'm trying for quite some time but can't seem to make my iGPU to work properly. So far, I've tried Catalina, Big Sur and even Sonoma (applying OCLP patches) but nothing seems to make the acceleration activate. Tried different framebuffers, no_compat_check flag, multiple NVRAM resets, double checked my BIOS settings and config.plist, but I cant see what am I missing. Any ideas?

GPU: Intel HD 4000
RAM: 16GB DDR3 @ 1600Mhz
Chipset: B75 Revenger (Chinese rebrand)

Help Using iGPU and dGPU
Hi, I installed MacOs Sonoma on my computer and patched the 1050ti with OCPL, but even so, Photoshop and Premiere did not recognize the dGPU and ended up causing me problems.
In the future, I intend to upgrade to a compatible Rx 580, but for now I wanted to know if it is possible to use my HD 4600 iGPU for programs and the dGPU for the display. I have already enabled it in the bios and patched it following the Opencore guide, but it still does not appear.
If I disable my dGPU, will it work?
I also saw that the last compatible OS is Monterey, if I do the drowngate, will it solve the problem?
Or any other solution will also help, thank you very much.

Getting stuck when trying to load installer
Hello, I'm trying to install MacOS Catalina with OpenCore using dortania's guide. When trying to load the .dmg installer file, a number of errors occur and the laptop reboots
I checked the configuration via sanitychecker, I found no benefit

SSD and first hackintosh questions
Hi everyone, I’ve recently realised that building a hackintosh is something I will probably need to do soon. I’m a DJ and music producer who as of right now primarily uses my a1708 macbook for Logic Pro and rekordbox, however I would also like to get in to 3D modeling in blender (still not sure if this is the best option for what I’m looking for) and video editing in premiere pro for logos and visuals.
8GB of RAM has been plaguing me with system overload messages in Logic for a while now, and recently it seems I spend more time dealing with those error boxes than actually producing anything. I use vital or serum on almost every track excluding vocals and pride myself on making all my sounds and presets for everything from drums to dub sirens to grand piano from scratch, so my projects can get very bloated with tracks and be very demanding on my hardware, which is why I feel that hackintosh is likely the best path for me forward.
My first question may be a stupid one so I apologise but would still appreciate a nudge in the right direction.
In the a1708 macbook pro I’m using right now, I’ve put in a 2TB crucial P2 2280 (yes it’s janky just ignore that) and I was wondering if I could take it out and use it in my desktop build, if there were any advantages/disadvantages/problems I could expect to face in doing so, or if it would be better to leave it in my macbook and buy a new SSD for my build (I’m thinking a 4tb wdblack sn850x), then using the backup I have on an external SSD to transfer my data.
My second question is just whether anything in my current parts list is going to give me any issues, or if any other DJs/producers/editors who use hackintosh have better suggestions for parts better suited to my goals.

Wanting to upgrade macOSX: i7-4790K, Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H
Hello, I haven't upgraded my operating system since 2018. Recently I have been seeing videos of successful upgrades and I want to join in.
Currently my build is:
CPU: Intel core I7-4790K
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H
Memory: G. Skill Ripjaws DDR3 16 GB
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250 SSD
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760
I was wondering what would be the best operating system to upgrade to and if anyone has a similar build is there particular issues I should watch for when upgrading?

Hackinthosh dual-boot interfering with game anti cheats?
Anybody with a dualboot setup getting banned in said games for the bios settings interfering with kernel level Anticheats in games? If so have you guys found a workaround for it?

Need help with touchscreen (HP 15-AY041WM I3-6100U)
I decided to skip windows and go to Hackintosh OpenCore on BigSur, everything works like the USB ports the sd card reader but the only thing that doesn't work is the touchscreen. I tried downloading some stuff online but that went to a downfall as it didn't boot up again. The usb that I had was already deleted but I got the EFI back using a partition wizard. So I just need help with the touchscreen sorry for the long writing I'm new to reddit 😅

Sonoma install on VMWare WorkStation
Hi guys! I tried to install Sonoma on a virtual machine using VMWare Workstation. I did install MacOS but I ran into an issue, that beeing the graphics card. I can't have more then 160+ mb vram, therefore all the system is moving terrible.
I would appreciate some help regarding, what software is best to use in order to access the host GPU? How can I set a higher refresh rate for the screen? Any tips/trick regarding this operation? If you got a yt tutorial that would be perfect.

I am planning on hackintoshing a t450 thinkpad, I know the cpu and gpu are supported up to monterey, and that dealing with wifi will be a problem, but I have a few questions:
1. does hackintosh support multiple internal drives? (I have 2 internal ssds)
2. is the resolution (1600x900) supported?
3. will there be any outstanding issues with my laptop model and hackintosh?

Before updating macOS Somoma from 14.3 to 14.5, all SSDs and HDs were displayed. Now after the update it only displays the SSD where it is installed.
I have two macOS Sonoma (Production v14.3 and Test v14.5) installed on my Hackintosh.
But after updating macOS Somoma Teste to version 14.5 only the SSD where macOS Somoma Teste is installed is displayed.
macOS Sonoma Production (v14.3) continues normally, displaying all SSDs and HDs.
Before updating macOS Somoma Test from 14.3 to 14.5, all SSDs and HDs were displayed. Now after the update it only displays the SSD where it is installed.
Any tips please?
Note: I updated to 14.6 and the problem continues.

Macbook Air 18/19 Sequoia?
So Im not gonna muck about here. I have a base 19 Air I got from my brother back in 2022. I enjoy it as a glorified Chromebook and it's generally docked to my monitor. Im going to get an M2 Mini soon but want to see what the upper limits is with this laptop before my oldest gets it. Im sure people have played with OCLP on older devices but Im not sure of the lower limit that the OS will take. I imagine the Air was dropped because of either ram or storage lower limits but not the Pro of the same years. Im generally new to trying this.

Need some help to finish my Hackintosh installation
I finished installing macOS 10.15.7 Catalina on my laptop, which is Dell Vostro 3500. Everything is good, I managed to get Wifi and Bluetooth works.

But there are 2 things left I need.
1. When I touch my touchpad, my keyboard stops working. This only happens for built-in keyboard, USB keyboard works fine, restarts fix it. How can I solve this?
2. Built-in speaker not working. I have read the list of supported codecs, but seems like my Cirrus CS8409 is not supported. Currently I use my Bluetooth speaker. Is there a way to use my built-in speaker?

Everything work right away except for wifi and bluetooth but later got fixed sadly since I'm using airportitlwn FaceTime, iMessage and some other applications won't work.

iMessage / FaceTime & other Apple ecosystem features only work with VPN enabled
Hi everyone,
I've recently stumbled upon this issue on my year-old hackintosh (running MacOS Sonoma 14.6) where services like iMessage & FaceTime don't work unless I have a VPN enabled. Apple store works just fine.
This doesn't seem like an issue with my home's public IP being banned as it also happens outside my home.
I've tested with a VPN provider (Wireguard) & my own servers using both Wireguard and OpenVPN and achieve the same results: iMessage messages go through, my iPhone (iOS 17.6) DND syncs with my hackintosh, and I also get the calls and SMS messages from my iPhone on macOS.
I've also noticed a weird behaviour with Handoff: It only works one-way, from my iPhone to the hackintosh, not the other way around. I can copy files/text from my phone and paste it on my hackintosh and get open safari tabs on mac as well WITHOUT VPN. Other way around still doesn't work with VPN on.
I'm using the latest itlwm kext (AirportItlwm\_v2.3.0\_stable\_Sonoma14.4.kext.zip), on a Dell latitude 7400 laptop.
I'm not sure when this issue started to happen, but it could possibly be when I first upgraded from Ventura to Sonoma a few months back. I can recall that it was working fine (without VPN) after following Dortania's guide.
As I previously mentioned, I have genuine devices linked to my iCloud account, such as an iPhone 13, AirPods Pro Gen 2 and an Apple watch SE from 2023.
Please let me know if there's more info I can provide, I'll be more than happy to provide it and get this issue fixed. Also, escuse me for any noob behaviour. Thanks in advance for your time!

How do I make my laptop's lid trigger sleep when closed?
It currently wakes it from sleep when opened but closing the lid has no effect, screen and system are still turned on as usual. I've tried different ACPI patches and SSDT's with no results. boot ACPI errors include "No arguments are initialized for method _LID" and same for _STA and _CRS. What am I doing wrong?

How to increase VRAM and Open Hardware Acceleration of AMD APU
Hi. I'm trying to make a hackintosh on my HP Probook 455G9 with AMD 5825U APU (Vega 8 Integrated). The problem is BIOS is locked for changing the VRAM even though I have 16GB RAM and NootedRed. Therefore, I can't increase the stock VRAM which is 512mb currently. I tried using Smokeless UMAF but the option for changing the VRAM didn't show up there. What is the way to increase VRAM in this case?
