I've got an HP Prodesk with i7-7700, 16GB RAM, 256 M.2 and 2TB HDD (no dedicated GPU).
Is it technically (and of course mentally) possible to dual-boot macOS Sequoia on this?

Does it matter which brand or type of USB drive you use?
Could I use any USB stick as long as its big enough and it works? I have a Silicon Power 128GB USB drive and it works perfectly fine and I am wondering if I can use that for a hackintosh.

Audio and backlight of keyboard doesn’t work
Hey I installed Mac OS on my notebook and sound doesn’t work. I searched on internet how to fix that but nothing worked. They talked about some codec id or something like that but mine is not supported.
And when I want to have backlight on on my keyboard I press key to turn it on it will but after few seconds it just turn off. I tried to fix it but it didn’t do anything.

i7 10700k or a newer i5?
My Sandy Bridge i5 2500k hack is reaching the end of its life so I'm looking the two options below.
My usage is for coding (Xcode not essential) and the MS office suite. I have an M2 MBP for light use and the hack would be my daily for a few hours a day. I'd be running a 4k monitor with the possibility for a second in years to come.
Option 1:
i7 10700k using the iGPU, no dedicated GPU. I could probably stretch to a i9 10900 if it was really worth it.
Pros: This would save money not buying a GPU and could make sense as I don't play games.
Cons: already 5 years old so not certain on future compatibility. On the other hand hackintosh may be dead anyway when Comet Lake loses support. Could 4k be laggy? Future second monitor support?
Option 2:
A more recent but budget i5. I could probably stretch to a i5 14400f. Paired with a Radeon 6600XT or similar.
Pros: newer so likely supported until hackintosh dies completely. Better 4k performance?
Cons: additional cost. Could be overkill for my use.
Feel free to suggest other options. Any thoughts? What would you choose?

HELP: Stuck at MACH Reboot...

I'm trying to install from USB stick macOS Ventura (also tried with BigSur and Monterey, with no differences! :-( at all) on this HW:
MB: Asus Z370 Prime A (BIOS v. 3004)
CPU: Intel i3-8100T
GPU: Intel HD630 (internal)
RAM: 32GB
DISK: Sundisk SSD 250GB

I have 2GB of graphics memory on macOS Ventura. I made this Hackintosh for Xcode, but the iPhone virtualization is quite laggy. My question is, is it really worth changing my graphics card to an RX 580 or 6600XT?

Switching from Linux to MacOS Sonoma
hi everyone. as a long time linux user, i've been bothered by the lack of software availabilty (although the problem is not because of linux itself but devs) and i'm thinking of switching to a hackingtosh in my T480. what are some things to consider when switching? will i run into hardware issues with opencore? i know basically nothing about macOS, but i was thinking that i could get a very similar experience to that of linux by installing the brew package manager.

Any hope of using NPUS in the new core ultra processors
As you know you cant use the ai features in macos 15.0 without having a M1 (theoretically it possible on an intel processor via forcing it I think but that would be slow without a NPU) Do you think thats possible OR do you think macos wont be able to use NPU since its only excepting it in the new arm chips? btw please dont flame me

I got my Hackintosh system up and running back in 2022; pretty soon after that, my MacBook kicked the bucket. My new laptop is a newer MacBook with an M2 chip. Am I totally screwed when it comes to getting the Hackintosh updated? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Reddit, building a new pc and wondering if it would be possible to make a macOS 14 Sonoma build on intel Core i7-12700KF 12th Gen Alder Lake CPU, MSI PRO Z790-s ATX motherboard, and Radeon RX 6750 XT GPU? I looked on OpenCore install guide and didn’t see Alder Lake on the list (supported or otherwise) and on Reddit I didn’t see any builds on my motherboard or specific GPU. Never done a hackintosh before, interested in the project unless there is some major hardware barrier I’m unaware of. Planning to post results should the project not be a horrible idea. What do I lose with an AMD CPU vs Intel?
I built my shiny new hack around an i9-14900K, which not only has the reboot issue (in spite of not overclocking), but per Intel's latest is permanently damaged, and therefore needs to be RMA'ed.
I'm so thoroughly disgusted by this whole experience that I'm considering two options at this point:
1. Buying a i9-12900K and trying to sell the 14900K after I RMA it
2. Giving up on Intel altogether and going with the AMD 7800X3D I would have purchased in the first place if I hadn't wanted to get the best possible performance out of the hack.
From what I've read, the AMD CPU hacks will get worse performance due to needing additional layers between the hardware and the OS vs. the equivalent Intel chip. Is my understanding correct? If so, how much worse?
I use the MacOS side for day-to-day, and some light gaming, and want a powerhouse rig for windows gaming when the mood strikes. I do some computationally intensive work on the Mac, and (when it's not rebooting) the 14900 has definitely been a boost to my productivity on those tasks.
Bonus question, any good suggestions on AM5 motherboards that have most/all parts hack compatible?

updated GPU from RX580 to AMD RX6600
i have been hackintoshing for few years with the RX580 as my dedicated GPU and was getting decent performance so far ( by following the guides of the community). Unfortunately i have changed GPU to RX6600 and eventhough i tried changing adgpmod=pikera and removing boot args etc, i am not able to get pass the loading screenand ending with a blackscreen. I can remotely access mac using splashtop, but in the system properties, the graphics card details are not displayed. Please find my config below

High Sierra cant get ICH10 AHCI to work
so im am new and for my first hakintosh i dug out an old machine (Intel core 2 duo E7400, 4G ddr2, GTX 750Ti, Asus P5Q-SE) and when booting the installer it does not show my HDD. in fact the disk utility never loads with my HDD plugged in. i tried numerous fixes from the internet, none of them worked. i could install it to a 32Gig USB drive but it is super slow. i am using opencore 1.0.0.

Yea, i saw a video that macOS 15.1 is out, include Apple Intelligence, for me, i really like that A.I and with new Siri animation, but since Apple fixed new Siri UI since macOS 15 beta 2, and when i check why i dont get that update, i know that apple intelligence just support for Apple Silicon and A17 Pro, so hackintosh literally have a Intel chip so i cant use A.I, so maybe in the future, we will have a way to get it work or not, and thank you to read this too, i hope y'all have a good day:)

Required Guidance regarding hardware.
I have decided to finally take the plunge into making a hacintosh.
After reading about it since last many days in this sub and dortina guide, I have found that I need to buy a new gpu (I have non-igpu processor and Nividia quandro grpahics currently) and sperate NVME to run hackintosh from. I had previous done a hackintosh dualboot with windows on my old laptop but then removed it later and don’t want to do it again on the same.
Here are my PC Specs:
Intel i5-11400f
16 GB of ram (Might upgrade to 32 GB but not decided yet when)
OS: Win 11 on NVME and Ubuntu on HDD
Current graphics : Nvidia Quadro T400 (Will be disabled for hackintosh but will be used with windows and Linux)
Now here is where I am having a problem.
Option 1:
I can buy 250gb sepperate NVME (WD build) + Sapphire RX 6600 and it will cost me somewhere around 350$ (I am from India so no microcenter for me) and triboot it. Also, the new graphics card will be in pcie x4 port as x16 is already occupied with my quadro graphics.
Option 2:
I can buy a 2^(nd) hand laptop with integrated graphics and make it a hackintosh with only 1 OS for around the same 350$ with around 8gb of ram and inbuilt ssd and intel processor
My current pc is what I have built for my freelancing and soon my own business work.
I am confused as to what I should do and go ahead with. Kindly guide me.

Bluetooth with intel dual band not working on macOS Ventura
I installed a macOS ventura with OpenCore in my old notebook, it is a Acer E5-574 with Intel Dual Band AC 3168 as wireless chip, I can use Wi-Fi with Airportilwm.kext, but bluetooth doesn't work even using the IntelWireless kexts for this (IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext, IntelBTPatcher.kext and BlueToolFixup.kext), I'm new in the hackintosh universe so I'm still figuring this out, may anyone help me with this?

dell xps 8940
i would love to turn my dell xps 8940 into a hackintosh. its an i5 10400, 24gb ram, gtx 1660s, 512gb m.2 and 1tb hdd. (not relevant but i added a thermaltake AIO cooler and another fan in the front, so it runs cool, 22c cool) but yeah id love to mac it into a hackintosh
