First Successful Hackintosh - AMD and Sonoma
I needed MacOS to run xCode for some iOS development, I'm linux through and through and refused to buy a Mac for this. Tried some VM on sosumi but it's unmaintained and didn't allow me the latest version of xCode... anywayyy decided to use OpenCore and use Sonoma.

USB worked out of the box, haven't tried to get audio jacks working as I use my displayport monitor for sound - it worked out of the box/audio jacks don't work but havent tried to fix.
Everything else works as expected, I can provide my config.plist if anyone wants to see it, I had to do some extra playing around and trial and error to find a configuration that worked for me, took me two full work days to get it right but saved me a lot of money buying a Mac.

The Appeal to jump on Sequoia
As someone that spends a fair amount of time in this reddit, I struggle to find the attraction to jump on the latest and greatest. Really makes a support person's job that much harder and really stretches the limits of available people that can help with, for most people, what can be a difficult project already. Did I miss the memo on the some new features in Sequoia that I just can't get sith zVentura or Sonoma?

* the trackpad and keyboard
* all Apple’s iCloud services like iMessage and Find My
Doesn't work:
* The fingerprint scanner (expected)
* Handoff only works from other iDevices > this laptop, and no AirDrop (an OpenIntelWireless limitation rn)
# ❗️PSA:
1. **Before** booting using this, [you need to disable CFG-Lock](https://github.com/dreamwhite/bios-extraction-guide/tree/master/Dell) or it won't work. Disable it [using this specific version of `grub_setup_var`](https://github.com/XDleader555/grub_setup_var/releases/tag/v1.0-alpha).
I've already added this version of `grub_setup_var` to the EFI folder, and also found the right BIOS flag to disable it, so here you go!

Boot the EFI and from options select "`grub_setup_var`" then enter the 2 commands for CFG Lock and Overclock Lock.
**Don't directly use this config.plist - you must generate your own serial number, MLB, ROM, and UUID numbers and add this to the config.plist**
Don't worry, [this tool](https://github.com/corpnewt/GenSMBIOS) will generate it for you :)

Safari on non-Mac device. 12th gen intel, Nvidia graphics
I own a 12th gen intel laptop with iris XE graphics. Is there any way I can get decent safari performance (meaning with hardware acceleration) without buying an egpu? Here's where I'm at:
Hackintosh: should have read the docs before installing, but discovered too late iris XE is unsupported. 3050 is obviously useless
QEMU: Really slow, no hardware acceleration
Proxmox: read online that it requires a GPU pass through for HW acceleration
Is there anything else I can try? I really want to continue using Linux daily, and would rather not buy a Mac for the very occasional safari testing.
It also feel super wasteful to just buy more hardware when my current hardware works fine.
The solution I'm looking for would ideally run offline, without any additional hardware (portable hardware is fine, like a WiFi usb adapter or something)

Stuck in Sonoma Installation on OpenCore System
Hi everyone
I iam relatively new in the Hackintosh world but i established to install macOS once. Now with my Gaming PC I face a problem where I couldn’t really find a solution online. Around the twelve minute mark the macOS installer crashes and the system reboots in the Opencore Menu. The Log shows exited due to sigkill.
I know that this probably has something to do with the Nvram but I tried everything from emulating nvram though I got working nvram also tries resetting it and using other tools. I also tried everything I found online and tried different macOS versions offline and online installers across many MacOS versions.
Would be very thankful for help.

Intel 13/14th Gen Raptor Lake instabilities
What's the Hackintoshers perspective and report on the instablity issues with current 13/14th Intel Raptor Lake CPUs? Do you experience crashes / Kernel panics?
I did an LGA1700 build earlier this year but decided for an i5-12600KF because of the Raptor Lake instablity reports from PC gamers, can't complain so far, even though a little more CPU power would be appreciated.
I suppose LGA1700 is at it's end and there won't be any new SKUs for this platform.
How do you experience your Raptor Lake build on a day to day basis, no biased sugar coating please - be honest.

Huawei Matebook X Pro Sonoma No audio
Managed to put together a EFI for my Matebook X Pro so i got i working. I'm super new to this and have no experience in programming or developing so im super proud of getting it to work.
BIG thanks to the hard work from tlefko and the community there.

I create USB bootable drive and successfully install Sonoma on hard drive. However, there isn't any installed sound chip on MacOS. My Dell PC specification is listed as below.

Another question: I am a newbie to Hackintosh. I have installed macOS on my hard drive. How can I modify the kext, ACPI, or boot configuration on the hard drive? I believe all these files have been copied from the USB to the hard drive. How can I modify them on the hard drive?

Installed Ventura on a SSD, using SATA port #0, the one just next to the CPU.
Using Samsung/Kingston M2 NVME resulted on infinite reboot loop when installing; maybe configuring something on BIOS could help with this, but if it's working, don't fix it.

is "Intel® 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (1x1) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 Combo" and "Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter" same?
My laptop is HP 15-da0020tx and on the official manual on the website of intel, they say for wireless connectivity, my laptop uses "Intel® 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (1x1) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 Combo". But on the device manager, "Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter" is my wireless adapter or wifi. I am not sure if this is my Bluetooth device but this is my wifi adapter. Now, online posts say there's no kexts for "Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter". But the wireless adapter mismatch according to the HP manual . Also the wifi adapter is never replaced or anything.
Are these two same or there's something I am missing. Thanks.

Disable Dedicated GPU Question
So I successfully installed Sonoma on a MacBook Pro mid 2011 OCP Patcher everything is working fine except some of my music plug ins that require metal graphics are not working visually they are just blank although they are working to affect the sound of things.
I tried everything from installing the non metal versions (they don’t load at all) to forcing Mac to run metal graphics (this did nothing) I was thinking of using DosDude patch to disable the dGPU entirely and maybe this will make the graphics work on the plug ins since the computer won’t be running the dedicated graphics at all and I’ve read elsewhere these plug ins are only compatible with certain graphics cards that run metal … before I try this has anyone done this and do they recommend this before I brick the whole computer and have to start over…
Also worth noting the gpu doesn’t really work because it needs to be reflowed. Whenever the Mac tries to use anything graphics intensive or get hot or if I plug an external monitor i get blue lines and fuzzy picture this was the main reason for installing OCP patch as it brought this computer back form the dead. ☠️

ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen Sonoma Install Stuck on ramrod
Hey guys! I am trying to create my first Sonoma hackintosh using a ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen Type 20QD. I followed the tutorial on https://dortania.github.io/ and managed to boot the recovery. I start the setup and the system reboots, the setup continues but after some time (around 20min left) it goes into a boot loop with some strange errors. I managed to identify them as "stuck on ramrod" (more info: OpenCore and macOS 11: Big Sur | OpenCore Install Guide (dortania.github.io))
Does anyone have an idea on what should I do? I tried both VirtualSMC and FakeSMC but I still get the same error. I also tried setting the vsmcgen=1 boot arg, again without any success. I also tried removing all extra kexts.
