Boots into Windows after Apple logo
Device is Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-54)
i5-8300H with GTX 1050
I created Ventura USB following guide, when i boot USB i have 4 options:
1. Windows
2. EFI (external) (dmg)
3. OpenShell.efi
4. Reset NVRAM
When i choose 2. it shows Apple logo with bar, and after some time it boots into Windows. Also i tried premade EFIs before i made it myself, they have the same error. I think there also should be installer option. Any ideas how to fix that?

Cheap Laptop that supports latest macOS
Hi all,
Recently I've been looking for a laptop to replace my old 2009 iMac. I'm trying to find something that supports Sonoma (and maybe Sequoia) for data backup purposes (old stuff on iMac).
Something inexpensive that runs decent, but also upgradeable (SSD, RAM) would be preferrable.
I've heard some of the older ThinkPads are good for hackintoshing, but I'm not sure which ones would be compatible with Sonoma.

Issues with Ideapad Gaming 3 Hackintosh
So after a lot of trial and error I was finally able to boot up MacOS on my ideapad gaming 3, mostly basic things work but there are 2 bugs I am just not able to fix, hope someone can help.
1. Trackpad works but the settings menu shows "Trackpad not found" hence I am not able to change their settings
2. Battery status is not available, although I am using EC Enabler along with SMCBattery manager, tried one at a time with VirtualSMC as well but nothing works

Static audio after 30 seconds idle
I have this weird issue where there will be static noise coming out of my headphones after \~30 seconds of no sound being played. You get this same result if you unplug the cable from the line out on the computer, or if you're not booted into an operating system. I've (of course) updated macOS, AppleALC, OpenCore as well as my other kernel extensions. I found a program called antipop but it did not solve the problem. Not sure if that's because it doesn't work on Sonoma, or because it just doesn't solve the problem, but it didn't work.
I believe what's happening is macOS is disabling the audio system until the time comes to actually output something, causing my receiver (hooked up to the line out) to output annoying static noise to my headphones (plugged in through the 6.35mm jack on the front of the receiver). I could be wrong about that however, of course, but it sounds reasonable to me because the static stops again if I play any sound (e.g. try to raise/lower the volume).
You could blame this on the receiver, but at the same time this isn't a problem on Linux with Pipewire nor Windows, so it really seems like a macOS issue. Any ideas on what could be causing this or what I could do to try and fix it?

opencore not showing mac os x
Hi, i'm trying to install mac os on my pc:
i7 12700kf
but when I do the whole process, I install everything, after the macos installer finishes, the Mac Os X option does not appear in the opencore boot. Only the EFI, Windows, macos installer, recovery and reset nvram

rate my custom Open Core boot screen background
Made with various sourced photographs and illustrations, painted together in Photoshop with a good amount of AI. Drive logos have been replaced with alien hieroglyphics, as well as shut down, restart, selector and cursor icons. No english on boot up, but the real ones will de-code which side is Windows and which side is Apple based on the picture ;) Bonus points for whoever catches the other symbolism in the pic. I like booting up more than using my actual Hackintosh. Dual boot windows/Sonoma 14.5, fully functioning and beautiful

Browser recommendation for Ryzen apu users
Hello everyone, I dedicated today to learning to hackintosh my AMD Ryzen 3 3200g and MSI b450 Tomahawk Max and there are certain things I wish someone would've said to me about using the system without a dedicated graphics card i.e. nootedred kext.

First of all using standard browsers like chrome and firefox are out of the equation. Although it may run fine with --disable-gpu args, the experience is very laggy and very frustrating to say the least. I figured safari works fine than it must be based on some different engine, long story short I found orion browser which supports chrome and firefox extensions so that problem is solved.If there is something better than orion please do let me know.
Secondly, I have a secondary display lying around. Can I use the display with the help of display port or type c on my motherboard. Has anyone tried to do that? Is that even possible? Help me out pleaseee.

Lenovo ThinkCentre M81 Hackintosh?
Hey,
I have an old small form-factor Lenovo ThinkCentre M81 collecting dust, released in 2011 I think, and I want to convert it into a Hackintosh, though I'm not very familiar with Hackintosh at all.
Is this even possible with this model of computer, and if so, what would be the best version of MacOS to put on it?

HP Z2 MINI G4 WORKSTATION --> MAC MINI HACKINTOSH - INSTALLATION ERROR
Hello everyone,
I recently bought an HP Z2 Mini G4 Workstation and want to turn it into a Mac Mini Hackintosh because I think it fits well – also in terms of appearance.
I have watched many tutorials, and it has worked well so far, but I am stuck at one step and can't get past it. The following error occurs after installation: **In Memory Panic Stackshot Succeeded**
I would be extremely grateful if someone could take a look at my EFI file. I would appreciate any suggestions for solutions :) (Link is attached below)
