Anybody running davinci resolve19 or fcpx 10.8 on a hackintosh system???
Want to know if anyone running either these 2 programs on a hack system? Since both require apple silicon, i dont know if you can setup your hack with a silicon profile but is there anyone with these programs with intel profiles? Im interested in knowing if they will install and if so how well do they work. Im no computer wiz and cant find it on the web anywere. Just throwing the ? Out there.

AX210 Continuity for macOS Ventura?
I downgraded my hack to Ventura today for various reasons. on Sonoma handoff worked but no airdrop. on Ventura no handoff, no airdrop using airportitlwm and intel bluetooth module. can you please help me sort this out?

Opencore - Dual Unix OS's on Separate Drive
Hi Team,
In my computer I have separate disks. One of the disks (Disk 3) contains two Linux OS's. The bootpicker shows the OS's, but not in the ideal way.
I have the following disks:
* Disk 1 : Windows 11
* Disk 2: Opencore EFI, MacOS Sonoma and Linux Mint
* **Disk 3:** Linux Kali and Parrot OS
My bios is set to boot from Disk 2, where I am able to boot to everything via Opencore.
My **Disk 3,** has 4 separate partitions.
* **p1** is my EFI
* **p2** is Kali
* **p3** is Parrot OS
* **p4 i**s a Linux swap partition created by Kali.
The EFI folder on **p1** contains /EFI/boot, /EFI/kali, and /EFI/Parrot. Inside kali and parrot folders, each contains a grubx64.efi file.
When booting, the bootpicker shows **two generic** drive icons labeled "LINUX" (the label name of disk 3, partition 1). I cannot tell which icon is which OS.
I would love to have these properly identified in the bootpicker, with the corresponding icons. Ideally, Opencore can auto-recognize the two OS's. I do have the linux drivers properly loaded - it auto-recognizes the Linux Mint partition on disk 2.

1) I did the drive mapping for the Disk 3, and I created two entries in >Misc > Entries:

With this, the bootpicker shows the Kali and Parrot choices with **generic** icons. BUT it also shows the two generic "LINUX" icons. This is better, but not great.
2) I tried adding an entry to the "xxx/\\***EFI\\boot***\\bootx64.efi" and cataloged it as "Auxiliary" (which bootpicker hides until I hit spacebar). Result: the two "LINUX" choices still appear.
3) Copied /EFI/grubx64.efi to the Kali and Parrot partitions AND erased the /EFI folder in p1. Result: Shows only the Kali and Parrot choices properly (w generic icons), but neither will boot.
As far as the generic icons, I have tried two things:
* Copied custom .VolumeIcon.icns to root of each partition
* Copied custom grubx64.efi.icns to /EFI/kali and /Efi/Parrot
Thank you for reading this far... Is there a way that the bootpicker shows only the two OS's with the unique icons? Same as it does with the Linux Mint.

GTX1050 on Sonoma
Hi all, so I have seen a lot of people claiming to be able to use (in my case) a GTX 1050 on Sonoma, but no one has ever outright said how to do it.
Keep in mind I have used OCLP and the Opencore Guide to get macOS baseline working, and learnt how to do this through other websites and self-learning to figure out how to get it working, I unfortunately don't remember where but if I find the websites/posts I will link it.
Since I would call myself a beginner I don't want to list out how I did it as I don't want to damage other machines, as I messed up quite a few times but if people want to know how to do it, I will update this post when I figure out fully what I am doing and why it works (or PM me if you want to try)

Dual Hackintosh - Lenovo Ideapad L340 as MacBook Pro 16" & Lenovo M70Q as Mac Mini

This is my first post to present you my two Hackintoshes!
My desktop with my two \\"macs\\"
# LENOVO M70Q :: Mac Mini 2018
I made the first one in 2022, running Monterey. I chose the Mac mini because of the really similar form factor. It is currently mounted behind my screen with vesa brackets, feels really cool!
Today, after some upgrades, it runs Sonoma 14.4 and everything works really nicely!
CPU: i7-10700T
GPU: Intel UHD630
RAM: 24GB DDR4
Chipset: Intel H470
Audio Codec: Realtek ALC 233
Ethernet Card: Intel I219-V
Wifi/BT Card: BCM94360CS2 with an M2 adaptater
Drives: Crucial P1 1To as main drive + 500Gb HDD from an old laptop
WORKING : Pretty much everything, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, Display Port, AirDrop, continuity, handoff, iMessage, FaceTime (with an iPhone as webcam/mic)
ISSUES I HAD : iMessage/FaceTime were not working until I got an iPhone, it created me an iMessage key linked to my iCloud account. I also got some sleep/lag issues until I make a proper USB map.
I mostly used Dortania's guide and google, reddit, etc.

Drives: Samsung EVO 970 Plus 2To (1To for each OS) + WD 1To HDD shared between the two OS (so I can find my movies or Photoshop/Cubase projects no matter which OS I launched)
WORKING : Pretty much everything too, WiFi, Bluetooth, AirDrop, continuity, handoff, iMessage, FaceTime (with an iPhone as webcam/mic), backlight, keyboard media keys, touchpad gestures, battery indicator, sleep when lid is closed
NOT WORKING : the Nvidia GPU and it's HDMI, and the audio jack sounds choppy (but fine on windows) but i use wireless eadphones so I don't really care. The speaker sound is also weaker than on Windows.
ISSUES I HAD : I almost gave up when I was trying to make the trackpad move, for 2 weeks it wasn't working at all, then it was stuttering and unusable. It was a lot of time, tries, and researches over Internet.
Like the other one, I had some sleep issues before a clean USB map.
I also used Dortania's guide, and this GitHub helped me a lot.

Both Macs are synced to my iCloud account so I can get my messages, calls, calendars, notes on every device ; I can unlock them with an Apple Watch, use an iPad as secondary display / graphic tablet ; use the MacMini as secondary display via WiFI, access each others' disks through network, etc

Stuck on loading screen on boot.

I am new to hackintosh. this is my 3rd time running into an error while booting. I had made the config.plist carefully again. what is the reason for this error?

Has anyone gotten the Atheros AR9485 Wi-Fi card to work in High Sierra and up?
Title is self explanatory. Is there a guide or kext that lets me reliably use this Wi-Fi card in some way?
I remember last time I installed High Sierra on my laptop with a kext (I think it was AirPortAtheros40.kext) the Wi-Fi card was really inconsistent, it would work for one boot but then after a reboot it would no longer work. Now I'm trying to install Monterey into this same laptop but I can't go past the installer if I don't have Wi-Fi working.
I don't have another reliable way of doing this (no Ethernet or Wi-Fi dongle)
I've googled in a lot but nothing works so far, I'll keep trying. I think those kexts are outdated anyway.

Quick question about using new SMBIOS on a old mac os install
So i have a fully working hackintosh, well almost fully. its currently running ventura and the SMBIOS is imac18,1 and i was wondering if i could install mac os 10.8 mountain lion, yep yikes thats a pretty big version jump. Im pretty sure my kexts are supported with older mac os versions and i only need to delete a few which i dont need. my uefi is also not legacy (i can switch to legacy but im gonna have to config my efi again for it to work on it.) Thanks!

My hackintosh keeps crashing while editing video in Adobe Premiere :(
Does anyone have a clue what's going on with my hackintosh and why it keeps crashing while playing back video's? It only happens when I'm editing in Adobe Premiere, all other tasks the hackintosh handles just fine! It's just when editing, computer freezes, blackscreen and then it reboots.
My specs are: i9-14900k, Gigabyte Z790 Gaming AX, 64gb DDR5, set to 5600MT/s with XMP enabled, AMD RX 6800 XT, 3 Samsung 2TB 970 m.2 ssd's.. I've limited my CPU to 253W TDP and 307A, everything else is stable.

Issues with Hackintosh on full AMD Lenovo Laptop

Recommended system specs for dual booting macOS and Linux
I need to build a new Intel/AMD system. I’ll run Linux on it. I know what I need for that.
I want to run macOS on it. I want it to work well and be fast/snappy. I’ll need things like iCloud to work.
Hoping folks can help me with what kind of CPU, MB, GPU to get? I’ll use SSDs. Everything is hooked up to a 5120x1440 ultra wide monitor.
macOS is the deciding factor here. I know any system I build will work with Linux. I’m not sure about macOS.

What's the best way to revive a 2000 Power Mac G4 Cube?
It's antique, I know I know. But, a really good friend of mine would love to get it functioning again for nostalgia sake. Preferably with a Mac OS that can function with today's internet technology (bonus points if a WiFi dongle will function on the USB port). Currently I can get connected to the router via ethernet, but as far as accessing anything on the interwebs... yeah, no.
So, from what I can figure out, I'm probably best going with some form of Linux/Ubuntu/etc. ... If I go that route I could use some advice on the best distro etc. Side note, I haven't installed a Ubuntu distro on anything since \~c. 2011 (Peppermint OS)
TL:DR - I could use some recommendations for starting direction - Could I get Open Core Legacy Patcher on such an old machine, or better to go with a Linux distro, and if so which version would be best for such an ancient Mac? Thanks.

When using discord with airpods my audio and microphone quality is bad. When not on discord it works flawless.

AMD athlon 2 hackintosh possible?
I recently got a pc that is quite old. 2009 in particular. I was wondering if people even try to make hackintosh’s for such old computers and whether it was worth my time to try. The computer has a 2009 amd athlon 2 apu and 8gb ddr3 ram. I wanted to use the computer to develop iOS apps using Xcode.

Hello everyone, I've been trying to make my laptop a hackintosh for a while now but it hasn't worked in my favor. I need your help with this, I've gotten my USB to run until the kernelspace, but I can't seem to get it past #[EB|LOG:EXITBS:START\]. I'm new to this and know it's not recommended to use YouTube guides but I didn't know any other way since I find the guide complex. I've tried the OpenCore general troubleshooting steps and that didn't help. That aside, my laptop is running:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7520U with Radeon Graphics
GPU: AMD Radeon 610M
RAM: 16GB at 5500MHz
