Format macOS drive while in Windows...will windows still boot?
I installed Win11 first, while the other drive in the system was unformatted. I then installed Ventura on the extra drive. I decided I wanted to use the Venture drive for extra storage or a DIstro, but am conserned that I may damage my Win11 install because of OpenCore... is it safe to format the Ventura drive from Win11?

OpenCore Patcher can not see the Sandisk SSD
I selected Build and Install OpenCore using the OpenCore Legacy Patcher 1.5.0. I can not get the app to recognize the Sandisk SSD. Disk Utility can see the SSD. The Sandisk SSD is formatted as APFS (partition scheme: GUID). Any thoughts? If I plug a USB or WD hard drive into the MacBook with format=APFS and scheme=GUID), OpenCore Legacy Patcher can see those drives.

Nitro 5 AN515-52 not showing boot options after install
After installing macOS 13.6 and automatically rebooting, the USB stick gets stuck on a blank screen and doesn’t change at all.

Mac OS Sonoma stutters and lags
I have very poor performance with mac os sonoma, it seems to always use 100% of my CPU before even thinking about using some of the GPU. The performance gets slowly better but never the same i have with windows 11.
Details:
RX 580 8GB
Alderlake i5 12600k
Asus B660 plus D4
Opencore 1.0.0
Keyboard and mouse is on USB 2.0
The issues i've had:
Mouse stutters
Animation stutters
Mac os boots slowly (takes no input for few minutes)
Applications launches slowly
Videos stutters sometimes
Tested with geek benchmark gpu metal performance and got around 48 000 points.
I do not think this is an issue but could having the mac os efi still inside my USB cause stutters, since the USB is ancient and very slow.
- Windows and Mac OS are installed on different disks.
- SSD i have it installed on has: Read Speed 1500 Mbs, Write Speed 540 mbs

It's almost in a fully working state. I had a macOS VM, but it was unusable, because the lack of graphics acceleration. I had to use VoodooHDA, because none of the layout-ids worked for me.
It's an Acer Aspire 5742:
Specs:
Intel Core i3-380M
4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM
120GB SSD
Intel Wifi + BT
What's Working:
* Full Graphics Acceleration
* Touchpad
* Audio
* USB
* Ethernet
* Wi-Fi
* Bluetooth What's not working:
* Can't change Brightness
* Reboot gives a black screen
* When shutting the lid, the fans spin to 100% and I need to force-shutdown
* Can't use external Displays (HDMI / VGA)
* When I plug in an external HDMI display, and boot the macOS with it, it just forces the Internal one, and there's only one framebuffer device Kexts used:

Stuck Trying to Dual Boot MacOS on AMD laptop
Hi all thanks for reading first of all,
My machine is : video
its an AMD machine, Ryzen 7 5500U, i am using window 10 pro, and I want to dual boot the macOS, the reason to get macOS as dual boot is that I want to do the android development using react native, and don't wanna get a MAC cause of some valid reasons. Now I tried a video but it didn't worked, I tried to resolve errors and moving on until I came across the error of Namespace lookup failure AE_ALREADY_EXISTS
later I watched other videos from EliteMacx86, tried differnet configuration files from the internet for AMD machines, and each one gives different error, it doesn't even load up,
now I have tried a configuration and it gives error of Couldn't alloc class "AppleKeyStoreTest",
I would appreciate any help with this for me, I have had linux before and things were working fine, I have 512GB SSD right now, and have a partition of 100GB for the macOS, but it never loads like through the booting.
I have put a lot of hours into this right now, so I thought it is better to ask someone who has been through this headache before.

Unable to run MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6
I am trying to install MacOS High Sierra with an Intel 17-11700k (Rocket Lake) and a GeForce GTX 970 Ti. I am on an MSI z590p with 16gb of ram. I tried using a universal OpenCore EFI for Rocket Lake specifically, but this isnt working. It starts to run, but then it immediately just says 'End RandomSeed' and stops responding from that point on. Is this an error with something I'm doing, or is my machine just incapable of Hackintosh?

UHD 630 No 4K on Dell Optiplex 3070 MFF i5-8400T 32GB RAM
The display I am using is a DIY 15.6 inch 3840x2160 display. MacOS Ventura now sees it as a 1440p display in System Settings. Besides resolution, the rest related to display work, including acceleration.
Please assume that DVMT cannot be modified from BIOS. The official firmware has no DVMT control. For some reason I can hardly extract my bios so please avoid UEFI shell fix if possible.
Attached with my EFI. I guess I only have to work on config.plist. Thanks for the help.

Hackintoshing a dell/ibm server. I had a fun idea to make one of my servers run macos
I have a Dell power 2950 III And a IBM x3650 M3 and I was going over the cpu list on Mac rumors and found for my Dell my L5320 is supported and so is my IBM X5650 so I'm wondering if there's a way I can get macos to work on my IBM machine if not I'll go for the Dell as my back up option.

HD 3000 Opencore Legacy Patcher
Hi there,
I have several computers with Sandy Bridge CPUs, therefore with HD3000 iGPUs, I have tried several times to install macOS 13 Ventura or macOS 12 Monterey on a laptop (i5-2410M) but as soon as I run the root patches and restart the computer, my system breaks and goes into a kind of black screen where I can't see and do anything.
Any suggestions?

Ideapad Z460 not powering on
I pressed Fn+F2 (typically it’s turn off the display) and I left it for a while. When I come back, powering it just turns off IMMEDIATELY. Any help? I tried:
- Pulling the USB out
- Pull every occupied USB ports
- Hold Power for 3 secs and release
### EDIT: I uh.. pulled out the battery and screwed several times (was stuck on the screws) and hold power for 5-10 secs it worked

Once I select my flash drive in boot it just send me to my main os I tried my own EFI,Olaria EFI and after not achieving success check Linux EFI and it did work.

BigTec120 Wifi Stick ob macOS Sonoma
Hi i need help, I‘m on macOS Sonoma 14.4 and My Integrated Wifi Chip isn‘t working. (Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter) I recently bought a BigTec 120 Wifi Stick but it isn‘t working. Maybe it isn‘t compatible with macOS but it could be that there is a kext file for it. If someone knows, please let me know

macOS Recovery stuck at installing

I've been trying to install macOS Sonoma for such a long time now, and nothing is working. it keeps being stuck at "18 minutes remaining". In the router I can see how much data it's using, and for the first 50% it's using the internet and I can hear my laptop fan, but after a while it either gets stuck on 18 minutes remaining, 2 hours [?\] minutes remaining, and it doesn't use any internet in that time when it says that.
Even tried macOS Big Sur. I have a Lenovo laptop.

I have CFG Unlocked and changed my DVMT
I can boot into the installer with no problems with everything working until half way through the install at around 11 minutes left the laptop will freeze and reboot. When I try to run the installer again it will come up with the kernel panic screen.

Everything works, except that at boot the resolution is stretched and can't seem to fix it by setting UI Scale or Resolution to Max/1920x1080.
Kept getting stuck on End RandomSeed but fixed that by tweaking the config a little bit, also prelinked cache errors.
It is also a tripleboot between macOS, Arch Linux, Windows.
Specs:

Brightness and Audio not working before sleep.
I've been posting way too often here lol.
Brightness and Audio have been behaving weirdly for some reason.
The brightness is stuck to 50% brightness. The slider shows up but I can't adjust it. After putting the laptop to sleep for 10 seconds or so, it works right away.
Same with audio, however it's a little different. Audio is sounds cracky and sounds extremely dim even at max volume. However, after putting the device to sleep, the audio too works without a hitch. (I installed codec commander but I'm not sure it did anything. It's still in my kexts folder though)
Laptop Specs:
- Intel i5-4200U
- Intel HD 4400
- Realtek ALC 233/ALC3236
- GT 740M (disabled with -wegnoegpu)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope I'm not annoying anybody by constantly asking these questions... Thanks in advance !

macOS VM taking ages to download
I recently wanted to download macOS and load it on VirtualBox on my Windows PC. My Internet speed is about 30 Mbps (according to Google speed test) but I am only getting around 500Kbps in Chrome download manager. Is there any other way to download it faster or troubleshoot this issue? Many Thanks! (Wifi 6 Adapter in my PC)
