MacOS partition/disk stops working
I am using a dell optioned 3070 micro with a SATA SSD containing windows and a NVMe SSD dedicated to MacOS. Yesterday I installed MacOS onto the NVMe SSD for the first time. Not everything works but at least it boots with graphic acceleration. The opencore efi partition only exist on the USB drive. Today when I tried to boot with the USB drive, I couldn’t find mac os in the opencore picker, but was able to boot into MacOS recovery dmg on the USB drive. In recovery the NVMe drive/MacOS partition doesn’t mount. Both windows and Linux can’t recognise the MacOS partition. Info such as Used disk space cannot be obtained.
I am fine with a full reinstallation. But I would like to know why the disk suddenly ‘disappeared’.

Can I even upgrade the OS with what I have?
I have the old "cheese grater" tower that I forced into a Catalina update with a patcher I found after bumbling my way around. Recently though a lot of my apps are telling my os is "no longer supported" or something along those lines. But I can't tell if the hardware I have installed will even support any sort of upgrade at all. My fiance helped me find the graphics card and I did install it, but I honestly have no clue if my computer has even really used it to any capacity. I can modify hardware all day long and make a computer work, but I have no clue if what's installed will work properly. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, here's what shows up when I look at the "About this Mac" option (Bear in mind the computer itself isn't actually a Mid 2012, I believe it was a 2010. I've added 2 hard drives both internally and have two external via USB and us a SS drive to boot from and run some things off of. Also upgraded the memory to allow for all 4 slots to hold 2gb sticks each. total of 8gb, but I truthfully don't understand what this means)

* Processor 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
* Memory 8GB 1066 MHz DDR3
* Startup Disk SSD
* Graphics Radeon RX 5808 GB
When I click the "software update" button it says I'm up to date, but I know I'm not. The patcher I think is messing with that. But when I click on the patch updater it shows up like normal, but doesn't offer any sort of controls or information from when I got it, or even where. I did all this in 2020 and can't remember where I got any of it.
My sincere apologies if this wasn't the right group to ask, I searched around online for a patch updater and was lead to this subreddit where I saw people talking about the Radeon graphics cards, but it's all kind of greek to me.

Have tried different versions of IntelBluetoothFirmware and it didn't work. Is AX211 bluetooth unable to work in Monterey? What can I do to fix it?

Hey all! After my last Beastintosh Build, I decided I wanted to take my swing at an AMD build. Here it is in all its glory. I didn't put as much RAM in this one, but it's still a beast none the least. Everything works except built in wifi/bt, but I have a compatible module on the way. Sleep is more reliable than my Intel build, and the system is overall more stable, but that's more of an Intel power management problem with the high end 14th get CPUs rather than a Hackintosh problem (I get crashes in Windows on the Intel system too).
Things to note:
-The only VMs I can run in macOS on this thing are in Virtualbox 6.x. Newer versions, as well as VMware Fusion, and Parallels, all use the AppleHV framework, which depends on Intel instruction sets.
-Adobe software is basically not usable. I've tried the patches/workarounds, but they don't seem to work still.
For these reasons I've decided to go back to my Intel build as my daily driver. I'll probably use this AMD machine as a homelab server.

Sonoma 14.3.1 upgraded to 14.5 does not display NVMe.
Sonoma 14.3.1 upgraded to 14.5 does not display NVMe.
Only displays the SSD where 14.5 is installed.
With CtlnaAHCIPort.kext it displays the other SSDs and HDs.
But, even so, it doesn't display NVMe.
Any tips?

I'm new to hackintosh and my keyboard on my laptop doesn't work. I don't know how to enable kexts or where to find them. I need kexts for the video card, internet, and also, it seems, the built-in keyboard

Any working 2-in-1 detachable tablets?
I was curious to see if anyone is running macOS on 2-in-1s with the tablet being detachable
So far, I’ve seen:
- Microsoft Surface Pro 7
- Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Tablet Gen 3
- Lenovo Miix 520
But they aren’t all fully working. The closest is Thinkpad X1T3 which only doesn’t have a working microphone.
Any others I’m missing?

WiFi stopped working... Ventura 13.6.6
I am tri-booting Win10/Mojave/Ventura, and have been for quite some time. It has been working flawlessly in every OS up until now. I have not touched the OS or active EFI folder.
I rebooted into Ventura just now, and my Broadcom BCM943602CS card is not recognised. WiFi shows as OFF, and clicking the Details button does nothing. No amount of shutdowns/restarts seems to fix it?
I have never root-patched Ventura, as I have never needed to. SMBIOS is for iMacPro1,1 (for RX 580 + GPU transcoding)
Could someone help me? I tried running latest (and older) OCLP and the all say system does not need patching... but something is wrong. The rest of the OS seems to be working perfectly... just no WiFi. The hardware info is listed in About this Mac showing BroadcomNIC as working active driver.
NOTE: Integrated Bluetooth is working on the same card. Also, country-code is not injected, although it is in the EFI config.
EDIT: I should be able to install identical version of macOS over the top of existing install... just wanted to try other fix(es) first.

Edit: Turns out my BIOS settings reset after updating it. Solution: Configure BIOS settings for your configuration as instructed by Dortania guide
Hi everyone! I’m trying to get a hackintosh going and i’ve ran into an issue that i can’t find anything about online. I prepared my usb but when i try to boot into it, I get the error “OC: Driver HfsPlus.efi at 0 cannot be loaded - Access Denied!” I followed the Dortania guide, but it is possible that I missed something as it’s my first time doing this. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I’ll attach my config.plist, the boot log, and a screenshot of my EFI folder.

Is installing sonoma on a HDD good?
So i have an old ivy bridge laptop 3120m (gonna use OCLP if i decide to do it) i have a successful catalina install i only have HDD laying around i have like 5 of them for laptops i was thinking of installing sonoma on them but HDD are TERRIBLY slow on APFS so thats why im asking.

The screen only works at half brightness
On my laptop with a big sur hackintosh, it is impossible to switch the brightness to a higher one, and the screen seems to work at only 50% brightness.I have installed Nootedred and he works , but brightness is only 50%.

Hi everyone! This is my second time making a hackintosh, but now it is on laptop.

specs are:
i5 10300H
uhd 630
gtx 1650ti (i know that it is not working, i have an ssdt for that and boot-arg)
16gigs of ram 2933mhz (no xmp)
nvme KBG40ZNV512G KIOXIA 512gb
SSD Smartbuy 240GB
intel ax201 wifi/bt (it was realtek but i replaced it to intel since realtok won`t work)
I followed dortania guide very carefully, nothing seems to help. searched on google that someone managed to boot but they are not answering me (dm`ed them but they were online a long time ago). So i`m asking You all for help! I tried everything. Recreating my efi from scratch in case i missed something, using someone`s efi`s and nothing seems to be working.
P.S: i tried to use prebuilt ssdt`s, then tried to make ssdt through ssdttime, then tried to make them manually.

iGPU displayport output not working
Hi all
I'm running Ventura (13,1) on a Gigabyte Z390, Core i9-9900K, iGPU-only system. Full build here. The motherboard has one HDMI port and one Displayport. HDMI works just fine in macOS, Windows and Ubuntu. Displayport works in Windows and Ubuntu and I get multi-monitor support. In macOS, only HDMI works. The other port is not detected at all. I have tried:
Changing SMBIOS from iMac19,1 to MacPro7,1 (found in a reddit post that this helped someone else)
Adding `igfxagdc=0` to boot-args (again from another reddit post)
Checking my BIOS settings. There's nothing I can see pertaining to the displayport
I do already have WhateverGreen on this setup, though I believe it may no longer be necessary. Not certain on that though
Here's my DeviceProperties, if it's relevant. IIRC I tried AAPL,platform-id 07009B3E and got a black screen, so I used the alternative. I could be wrong on that though as I've built a couple of hackintoshes and it's a little hazy.

I'm running OpenCore 0.88, which I realise is a little out of date now. This machine is used for live performance and it's rock solid. Just been on tour and I was reluctant to update anything prior. I'm happy to try updating OC if this might be relevant.

macOS 10.8 on Dell Optiplex 380?
I have an Optiplex 380 tower lying around. I remember the front sticker showing Intel Pentium and I'm pretty sure it runs Intel Intergrated Graphics. Iirc, it has 2GB of RAM. I'm thinking of installing macOS 10.8 (the one on Apple's website) and to use it as a Hackintosh. I'm not sure about compatibility and if things are/aren't going to work. This is my first time trying to hackintosh so do make it simple (or try).
