Trackpad sometimes stops working hackintosh
Hello, a few months ago i installed macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 on my laptop (asus vivobook s510uq) succesfully, and so far i didnt experience any problems except sometimes my trackpad just completely stops working, and 2 fixes i found so far is to plug in a usb mouse and use this for like 5 mins after which the trackpad works again or hold the power button and select sleep when a popup menu comes asking if i want to restart, shutdown or sleep and when i wake it up it works again. all the gestures work fine like how they work on a real mac too. is there a fix so the trackpad will keep working?

Installation issue due to EFI or MUX switch.
Hey I was recently trying to install hackintosh and my installer gets stuck in Memory panic stackshot succeeded.
So I was wondering what was causing the issue.. Most people said that it was the problem due to EFI but maybe the MUX switch can be the problem. What should I do now?

Like the title says, I boot into an off-screen kernel panic (shuts off display then kernel panics evident by the panic logs in /L/Logs/DiagnosticReports)

Trackpad on Acer Extensa 15 215-52 does not work
Hello! I just finished my first Hackintosh, most of the things are working nice and all besides the Trackpad (or call it Touchpad). It just does not want to work at all. I tried several tutorials, guides, I've tried lots of combinations with VoodooI2C, VoodooI2C-HID, Synaptic, VoodooRMI, VoodooSMBus, changed them, disabled them, changed their load order and nothing wants to work. I cant even go to the setting called "Ignore built-in Trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present".
So, the laptop is an Acer Extensa 15 215-52 with a i3-10th processor (Ice Lake), the Trackpad is a SYNA7DB5, running on MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1.

Ventura on a HD4000?

Stuck in a bootloop
I just finished downloading macOS ventura and everytime I try to boot into my drive it says this right before restarting;

How to run Big Sur+ on this Laptop?
I need to get macOS Big Sur or greater but I don't know how. I've tried many tutorials but none seem to work because I have such unique hardware. Any way to get it working, preferably with dual boot?
I also have a few USB drives lying around if that matters. Specs:

Can I run a MacOS Virtual Machine with my hardware?
I use unraid and run my windows and linux VMs from that with my 3060ti passed through.
It is possible to run MacOS on this? CPU is a AMD 5900X, motherboard is X570 Aorus Elite, GPU is 3060ti.

Is it Possible to Switch Between OS on The Same Device?
I am not knowledgeable at all but am trying to learn so i can figure out my best course of action before i attempt to install mac OS on my PC.
I already have windows 11 installed so i wanted to know: If I install macOS onto a computer that already has windows installed (if this is even possible) is there a way to switch back and forth between the different OS? Or is a VM my only option?
I know VM talk isn’t allowed in this subreddit but like i said I’m not knowledgeable yet and I’m actually trying to AVOID using a VM without losing access to my windows.

Does hackintosh make sense for me
I am an android developer, dying to get into ios development as well. Thay means that in case I decide to go with a hackintosh, I will atleast be running xcode in it, if not android studio and / or intelliJ and obs studio as well. Both to save some money, as well as to have fun with setting up something new, I am considering building hackintosh.
At the moment I own a work laptop and a pc. My pc has the following hardware:
- Gpu: GeForce 3060 ti
- Cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7GHz (6 cores)
- Ram: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB DDR4 RAM (2x16GB) (4000 speed)
- Ssd: Samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 3.0
- Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus Motherboard ATX with AMD AM4 Socket
I am willing, if it does not end up costing too much, to sell a few parts and buy better / compatable ones.
Does it make sense for my case to try building a hackintosh?

Can't boot to MacOS without -x boot arg
I have a problem with my hackintosh yesterday,when I try to install amfipass.kext version 1.40 and remove amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1 Then I restart the hackintosh and it stuck at around 35% I try reset the nvram and edit the config and it not work.

Redshift and Hackitosh
I have a hackintosh like iMac Pro and I have AMD vega 56 GPU too. In the Dortania guide the RX 6800 XT can be installed with the boot argument.
Redshift support the RX 6800 XT but in MacPro.
My question is, can I install the RX 6800 XT in to my “iMac Pro”? Or I must to change the smb to Mac Pro?

Apps don't work
I installed catlina on vmware and also signed using my apple id. I download some apps to test and they don't work. it says the "app name" quit unexpectedly. What am i doing wrong here.

Hello everyone, I have updated from big sur \(11.7.10\) to ventura \(13.6.4\) in my hackintosh and surprisingly an update to sonoma appears. Is it safe to update? My CPU is i3-7020u and I use the identifier \(MacBookPro14.1\) What can or should I do? I'm making a copy on time machine and updating my EFI folder in case something goes wrong.

Can't stream music from Apple Music app with Bluetooth
It is very strange because I can listen with bluetooth downloaded music in Apple Music app but not to stream it.
I have changed quality of audio but still happen the same. When I try with cable headset, built in speakers or regular speakers it works perfect.
Has it happened to anyone else?

Screen suddenly goes black and no more hard drive activity
My laptop (HP 15s-eq1002nq) has Sonoma currently installed on it, I followed Dortania's guide and I managed to fix almost everything (other than trackpad, there's also bluetooth and wifi but my card isn't supported so who cares) though now I have a problem, after about 5-10 minutes of no movement like not moving my mouse or literally doing anything, the screen goes black (or it kernel panics, I never managed to see it) and there's absolutely no more ssd activity, and also my wifi adapter's light indicates its not being used after the screen goes black, so its not like its going in screen timeout and then my backlight isn't on or something, its fully dead.
After restarting there's no log popup or anything indicating it had an error, it just opens my previous windows. Where should I get logs from for anyone to help me? Its the only thing that I want to get fixed before I can call this setup a success.

OpenCore LoadImage failed - Volume Corrupt on multiple OS X versions
Hi, I'm trying to install several older versions of OS X on a legacy PC but I haven't managed to get any installers to actually load.
I'm using OpenCore 0.9.8 release, and have attempted to boot Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard, all using the Dortania supplied images with the same result of OCB Load Image Failed - Volume Corrupt.
I used ASR to restore the installer to the USB as the guide suggests but I am pretty helpless now. I also tried Clover but was unable to get past an X64 EXCEPTION ERROR in all red.

Can’t Delete Free Space Partition on new SSD Drive
I cloned my old 2TB SSD and upgraded to a 4TB HD. Problem is my new drive only cloned the 2 TB and now I have 2TB of free space I can’t merge with my main partition. Is there any other software or method other than Gparted that can fix this? I used to use it but I can’t get gparted to boot up anymore from my USB.
