Problem when installing OS X Snow Leopard
"I decided to give up and look for some help"
I am trying to install OS X Snow Leopard into a HD that i had forgotten it existed in my table behind my monitor. I decide to install this specifically obsolete version just for fun and purposes of tests.

I have two pendrivers and "TransMac" installed in my windows. I
used TransMac in both pendrivers to "place" both iboot.iso and snow leopard.iso that i had find in archive.org
​
When i try to boot with the iboot driver, i get stucked into a black screen with a single and solitary underscore blinking. Very similar to a terminal screen.
​
This is my setup:
Motherboard: H61
CPU: Intel Core i5 3470 (Ivy Bridge)
UEFI support: yes, i have and use it
Graphics Chipset: Intel HD Graphics 2500 (Yes, the integrated graphics chip)
RAM: 6gb ddr3 1066mhz
Storage: HD 320gb
Bios version/date: American Megatrends Inc. 4.6.5, 4/17/2019

Need help for Samsung NP550P5C-S02IN Display
Hello Everyone,
I own an old Samsung NP550P5C-S02IN for which I followed dortania.github.io and created an EFI.
I have two issues, would be great if someone can help!

The first issue:
The external display does not work for me, not sure why and the internal display has a grey tint. I can control the brightness but the max brightness is not enough to view the display for long hours.
Tried searching but could not find a solution.
​
Second Issue:
I feel doing something wrong, I am able to boot via an external HDD but when I copy the EFI to my internal HDD EFI partition, somehow the partition does not show up in the UEFI boot menu or the BIOS.

RME Audio Interface and Parallels Issue
Pretty specific here - anyone had any issues with RME Interfaces? Or more specifically RME after updating/installing parallels?
My system is a GA-z270x ultra gaming 5, running Big Sur 11.7.10
I have an RME Digiface USB, was working great. My system was clover, updated to OC to get to big sur in the last couple of months, I had to reinstall the drivers (updated) when I first got to BS but then it was working great with totalmix
Then today I went to use parallels (to use windows) and realised it wasn’t working, needed to update. Did the update, restarted the system to approve the security changes etc and blam - suddenly the interface isn’t working. It lights up, if I manually open RME digiface settings I can see it but totalmix doesn’t work and I can’t select it as an audio device
I tried booting into my clone partition and it was the same in there - so - I suspect it’s bad news and something has gone kaput in the digiface (I’ll test it on another machine tomorrow) but just in case - has anyone had any trouble with either RME gear or parallels making things go peculiar?

Been cruising for awhile, need to update OS
I have been on a Hackintosh for several years now, but need to update my OS to keep some apps up to date. I'm out of practice with OpenCore and updating, just need to know what's the latest methods and how far I can update.
Currently running Big Sur 11.6 as a Late 2015 27" iMac, 17,1. Right now, the OS is offering up to Monterey 12.7.3.

Successfully Installed macOS on My AMD Game Console (Ayaneo 2021 Pro with Ryzen 4800u)!
I've recently managed to install macOS on my AMD game handheld console.This console sitting unused for a long time, so I decided to take on the challenge and transform it into a functional Macintosh.
However, this act was not without trials and it turns out to be my most challenging hackintosh installation experience to date. The major roadblock I encountered involved constant rebooting, needing anywhere between two to ten attempts before seeing a successful boot. Most of these attempts resulted in an inability to boot into the system, showcasing a 'no entry' logo instead. This issue was a first for me, and if anyone has any insight or suggestions to overcome this, I would greatly appreciate your input.
Aside from that hiccup, the converted system is performing pretty well, with only minor quirks. For instance, WiFi is unreliable due to a peculiar PCIe mapping in the motherboard. Likewise, the built-in display defaults to a vertical orientation, which macOS is unable to accommodate.
I've currently repurposed the device to serve as my personal Mac mini. The major upside is that I no longer have to lug my MacBook around on a daily basis.

Picker not shown
I've got a complete working installation of MacOS Ventura on OC 0.9.8, but the Picker does not show when booting. Picker was shown before install, but has since disappeared. I've tried enabling/disabling/removing/updating Opencanopy , fresh rebuild of EFI in OC 0.9.7 and 0.9.8, set PickerVariant to Builtin/Auto, changed show/hide picker, changed timeout, EFI on thumb drive/SSD, all with no luck. When Opencanopy is enabled, I receive
OCUI:Failed to load images
OC: External interface failure, fallback to builtin- Unsupported
Then black screen with functioning picker
With Opencanopy disabled, I still get a black screen with a functioning picker.

Got tapped to help code for a unity project on ios at work... all our desktops are winPC. Need to build a test environment so I don't have to hunt down one guy with the phone being developed on, borrow it, and all that logistical nightmare.
Yes, I know, this is far, far from efficient or a pro operation.
Anywho, to build the test environment I was thinking of a virtual hackintosh lite, prepackaged with xcode and unity on the image. I havet touched macOS since the big blue CRT box days, so need some guidance.

Stuck on OpenCore boot Alienware Area 51 R2
Hi everyone,
I am trying to get my Alienware Area 51 R2 working again with mac os.
Config:
\- Alienware Area 51 R2
\- X99 chipset
\- Intel Xeon E5 2683 v4 16c 32v previously Intel i7 5930k
\- MSR E2 disabled
\- 32 GB RAM DDR4 non-ECC 2400Mhz
\- AMD Radeon VII GPU
Context:
Before upgrading my CPU, I was able to boot onto Windows and Mac Os Monterey without any problems.
But since I have changed the CPU, Windows working without any problem but it's impossible for me to boot onto Mac OS again.
I tried a lot of differents configurations, getting back to clover, building a new opencore efi from scratch, modifying bios settings ...
Nothing change.
I hope i've missed something obvious that you can point to.

Realistically how hard is to port realtek WiFi driver to macos?
It is certainly possible, because Intel WiFi driver was ported from linux open source drivers and it is pretty stable now. I have a lot experience in programming, but not low level. Is it even worth starting it?

Had a lot of problems, even had a post here asking for help, but turns out a boot-arg was the culprit, which is really weird, as the guide says, if you have a "Above 4G Encoding" option on your BIOS, "ncpi=0x2000" had to be disabled, for me, having "PCIRootUID=1" and "ncpi=0x3000" got me past the PCI CONFIGURATION BEGIN, where it was stuck in.
Hope the info helps anyone trying to make a Ryzentosh with close specs, just follow the guide, and if it doesn't work, try adding these lines.
First Hackintosh ever, tried before in a e-machines with a celeron some years ago, in which i reached the installer but never got past that. NOW i can see how it is to use this OS!
Didn't had to compile my own ssdts or anything, nor disable my iGPU, but i don't know how to put the processor name to be recognized by the system, not yet at least, i'm not even doing the OpenCore Flair section, it'd be prettier but i just wanna savor this one victory, there hasn't been a lot of these right now...
Anyway, yay.

HELP Install Monterey on HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk1005
Hi,
I am struggling with installing MacOS Monterey with Opencore on my HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk1005 laptop. Here are my laptop specs:
Processor: Intel Core i5-10300H (Comet Lake)
iGPU: Intel UHD 630 Graphics
dGPU: Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti (disabled)
Chipset: Intel HM470
WiFi: Intel WiFi 6 AX201
Ethernet: Realtek RTL8168/8111
SSD: Samsung SSD 860 EVO
RAM: 24GB
I tried many variants of configs to make it work, but I always end up with an ACPI error, an AppleKeyStoreTest error, an AppleCredentialManager error, or Kernel Panic. I would be grateful if someone could help me with this.

EFI folder not FAT32
I was trying to move my EFI folder from my USB to my SSD but in BootInstall_X64.tool everytime i try to write the bootsectors thers an error that its not a FAT32 Partition, i've already tried to turn it into an FAT32 Partition but with no luck in the end i had to reinstall the whole thing

Graphics Help
I am running sonoma on 1050 ti, everything works great, except slightly lower frames to pretty much everything. Youtube playback is good, no low frames, but when i move windows around and when i minimize them, i can notice slightly lower frames.
Similar experience? Fix?
I know nvidia is not supported on sonoma, thank you in advance if that is your feedback, looking for solution, not useless comments.
