iMessage and Facetime works but not iCloud
I am currently running Sonoma 14.2.1. Followed dortania's guide for iservices fix. But iCloud doesn't work for me.
Weird thing is: iMessage, Facetime, appstore etc. work just fine.
I press on \\"Open Apple ID Settings\\"
Takes me to a blank screen \^

Hackintosh noob needs help
Im planning to install MacOS on my laptop with an i7-8750H. Current OS is Windows 11, but im planning on creating a separate partition inside my 2tb ssd for MacOS.
I have some questions:
Is it worth it? I´m doing it mainly because I feel like Windows uses too much battery on my laptop and i´d like to see how long I can last on MacOS.
I found some EFI files but since my CPU belongs to the "Coffee Lake" codename, I dont know if i should use the "Coffee Lake Whiskey Lake" files or the "Coffee Lake Plus Comet Lake" files.
Im assuming that once installed then i´ll be able to choose MacOS or Windows 11 from the BIOS boot menu as usual

USB Install goes to gray screen
Anyone experiencing this? I have a running hackintosh, but everytime i go to Recovery or USB install it just gets stuck in a gray screen. It will not progress. This is on sonoma 14.3, i never had this issue before. I suspect it may be my flash drives unless anyone else is experiencing this.
My hackintosh boots just fine with no issues.

I Used USBToolBox to map my usb ports (image) on Windows and produce the UTBMap.kext file.

I Used the GenSMBIOS tool to specify the `PlatformIninfo>Generic` properties in the `config.plist` file as a MacbookPro16,1.
I Used ProperTree plist editor to produce my config.plist file starting from the sample.plist file provided in the base opencorepkg folderand by following Dortania's Opencore Guide.
What part I got an issue with:
For now, I am trying to make my own EFI folder from scratch to learn using Dortania’s guides and install Ventura before trying with Sonoma.
I am posting this because I need some help as I can’t reach the macOS installer.
When I boot on my usb key having the EFI folder I prepared, after selecting the "boot to the installer" option, my computer restarts.
According to the debug dump file it seems it is stuck at \`AAPL: #\[EB|LOG:EXITBS:START\] \`. If im reading this correctly this is due to this error \`AAPL: #\[EB.LD.OFS|OPEN!\] Err(0xE) <"usr\\\\standalone\\\\OS.dmg.root\_hash">\`.

If i disable dGPU in macos, i loose the use of my usb-c igpu display out
I recently decided to use the -wegnoegpu flag (idk how its correctly written) in my razer blade hackintosh (i7-7700H intel HD630 and 1060 disabled). I had previously avoided it since it does not let me use my usb-c display out. I was wondering, how can i bypass or fix this? Its a usb-c (i think TB3 port). I need to be able to use it since when I'm home i plug it in to my external monitor to code.

Help with graphics
I have managed to install Monterey on my amd pc, ryzen 3 3100 and gtx 1050 ti, I have now installed a root patch with oclp and managed to boot the system. The graphics have improved a little and now animations work a little bit better, but it still displays 8mb graphics memory, now it says nvidia chip aside from that. My boot args are amfigetoutofmyway=0x1, ngfxcompat=1, ngfxgl=1, nvdadrvvrl=1. With these it trurned into blackscreen, but when i added nvdisable=1, it booted, and now i don’t know what i need to do in order to get full acceleration. Thank you.

Mac Os Montery installer goes to black screen
I am trying to install Mac Os montery i had Sonoma running on this system but wanted to switch due to all the bugs.
When trying to install it starts to install and starts the download of the files but after a while it goes to a black screen.
Ive tried moving my mouse and pushing keys on my keyboard but the screen wont come back.
What could be wrong and what could fix it?

Rebooting when click button “install”
Hi guys! help solve the problem with the computer constantly rebooting when installing hackintosh on the OpenCore bootloader (latest version). The reboot starts after exitbs:start exits. I know that there is a solution to this problem on Github. But nothing helped. This problem appeared after changing RAM modules. I reset nvram. Added cleannvram.efi. Nothing helps. There are no problems on Clover, the computer boots without problems. My system: B660m(huanan), 16 gb Ram, RX6600m, i3-12100f. Sonoma 14.1 (Clover)

OpenCore misconfiguration cannot locate HfsPlus.efi (yes I tried the fix in the troubleshooting guide)
Hello everyone, I was setting up a dev environment (flutter) on my machine and ran into some problems. Long story short, I decided to back up all important files and reinstall Ventura (13.6.3) in order to get a fresh start. After making the installer usb on my Macbook, I copied the EFI folder from the (then) working installation and proceeded to boot from it into the installer with out issues. After wiping the ssd and reformatting it to APFS, I tried to install macOS, but received an error that halted the installation. Upon rebooting, I was met with the error in the title which has a [solution here](https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/troubleshooting/extended/opencore-issues.html#stuck-on-oc-driver-xxx-efi-at-0-cannot-be-found) which did not work. So I found the binary of [HfsPlus.efi](https://github.com/acidanthera/OcBinaryData/blob/master/Drivers/HfsPlus.efi), replaced the file, then opened the config.plist, deleted the corresponding entry, and did an OC snapshot (ProperTree) before replacing the EFI on the drive with the newer modified EFI. This did not work, so I repeated the process with a clean OC snapshot which failed to boot with the same error.
I want to stress that the only modifications I made where those listed above and that there where no modifications from the working config when I first tried it. As for the installation error, I did not grape a screenshot/write it down as I did not see it as consequential at the time, and can no longer get to the installer where I could attempt to replicate it. I also made sure check the case of HfsPlus.efi (i.e. it is not hfsplus.efi).
The previous install worked perfectly as far as macOS and my hardware could manage (e.g. no iGPU on 12th gen intel)

Sound issue
Hello, I‘m running macOS Monterey 12.7.3 and I‘ve wanted to fix the sound as it‘s not working. I booted into ubuntu, ran the command which was specified in the OpenCore guide and I got:
Codec: Intel Broadwell HDMI
I haven‘t found any fixes for this type of sound codec so I‘m asking here..
CPU: I5 5300u
GPU: Intel 5500
The laptop is Elitebook 840 g2 and I got WIFI, bluetooth, ethernet and battery percentage manager working. Other than sound and sleep I don‘t have any other issues that I can think of.

Macos Ventura on Microsoft surface laptop 1st gen (boot loop)
Hi everyone, I'm new to the hackintosh community and I NEED help (It's my first hakintosh)Context :I first intalled Big sur on my surface (11.7.10) and it worked kinda ok (keayboard and trackpad worked 77% of the sometime, mic worked well, usb port worked really well, sound worked, same for the battery...). Big sur was a success for me but I wanted to go further and newer (because basics apps like pages and other requiered macos 13+). Hence my decision to update to macos 13.6.4
Now the troubles comes in. I tried to keep my old kexts (ofc it didn't worked lmao), different online configs that were close to my system (also didn't worked) and to do my own config from scratch (nope still didn't worked and I think I completly messed because it gave me the worst result 💀)... The best results I got (ig) is a boot loop when I choose "Install MacOs Ventura" or "MacOS" from the opencore ui ore the apple logo stuck.

I do have an iphone and never possessed any macbooks/apple desktops
I know that things have changed and apple made it harder to install their OS because now you need “install assistant” or something like that.
My question goes to you: is it possible to install sonoma without usb (since I don’t have any apple products except for my iphone)
Btw, Yes I know that opencore is the legitimate one and I know that I have to try my best to not violate apple’s terms of service.

Hackintosh as video editing server - SAS Controller
Hey y'all,
we are a small video editing team -4 to 6 editors- all using macs. We want a file server. We tryed to go the QNAP way but things are't working as expected (we think the problem is the ARM CPU on it). After a lot of testing the solution we've got for now is working on a mac pro 7.1 with a sonnet 4x nvme card (on raid0) with no problems at all and using the QNAP just for backing up. But we want to build a hackintosh for this job (mostly for the hdd expansion capabilities). We tried the truenas route but it wasn't working for us and the things we try to do. So the real question is if a SAS controller would be installed correctly. We curently looking for a card with "LSI SAS2x36 chipset and SAS2008 expander. PCIe 2.0 x8"on amazon. Has anyone had any experience or knowledge that can help? Thanks in advance

MacOS on Windows Desktop for video editing job
can i dual boot any macos versions on my windows desktop with AMD Ryzen 3600X CPU coupled with MSI RTX 2060 super GPU on MSI X570 Tomahawk WIFI MB with Intel AX200 WIFI Card and 16GB DDR4 Ram?.... Writing a new driver for RTL8821CE?
At this point I am fed up using a Wireless dongle, BRCM Cards are too expensive (with Sonoma literally omitting support), Intel cards are not available. And, HP forgot ethernet exists, apparently.
I wonder to myself now, how bad of a decision would it be to port a driver from linux anyways? As far as my Google searches have taken me, there is not a lot of info about macOS drivers. But there is itlwm.
My question here, or rather a request of advice, is to how I should achieve this dreadful thought of mine to finally use my laptop's internal wifi? I have experience working with the linux kernel itself, and I know how stuff works inside the kernel, and quite a bit about networking basics, so I might be able to figure stuff out given there is enough documentation.
My initial idea is to use https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce/ as the rtk source and https://github.com/OpenIntelWireless/itlwm/ as the boilerplate.

Advice for my first hackintosh
Hi, folks!
Long story short: last year I had to retire my good old Macbook and decided to assemble a PC to have powerful and upgradeable specs at affordable prices.
After months using Windows, it happens that I definitely hate it and I've decided to try hackintosh. I'm already familiar to OpencCore Legacy Patcher for old Macs, but I'm a total newbie with non-Apple hardware - and I'd love to have some advice.
Here are my current specs:
CPU: i5 13600K
Mobo: Rog Strix B760-A Wifi D4
RAM: 2X16GB 3600Mhz Ripjaws V
SSD: I intend to buy WD Black 850 exclusively for Hackintosh (current Crucial P5+ will remain with Win11)
Some additional info:
I would like to run Sonoma + Win11 on dual boot (on separate SSDs).
I would like to use macOS as my main system, and Windows as a backup.
I don't play games, but use the PC a lot for photography editing and graphic softwares (such as Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop).
I already know that my UHD 770 iGPU won't work.
Here are my questions:
1. As far as I've researched, Wifi (Intel) and audio (Realtek ALC4080) should work well, is that right? (I still haven't discovered Bluetooth specifications, and what to expect about Intel 2.5 Ethernet)
2. Should I expect any perceivable downside on hardware performance (or specific misfunctionings and malfunctionings) and overall system stability in comparison with Win11?
3. After researching for compatible GPUs, it seems that RX 580 and RX 6600 are good options, but I'm still looking for the best cost/benefit. As I don't play games, would I perceive much of a difference with one over another? Any additional recommendations on cheaper options?
4. I'm aware that hackintosh can be tricky, but I enjoy this kind of project and would really like to try it. Is there anything that I'm missing and I should know before spending money SSD+GPU?

install macOS Ventra error. Won't boot (Err0xE)
Hi everyone. This is my first time trying to hackintosh my first PC. I tried to boot up from my USB (opencore) and select install macOS Ventura, and ends up with this error:

I have no idea what error is this. Maybe something like i need to fix my Kexts files or review my config.plist? Please help

off-screen kernel panic
I have a Xeon E5-1603 with a GeForce 210 not even running macOS Monterey rn.
After "patching" the system (more like placing nvidia tesla kexts in /System/Library/Extensions) and removing the VESA boot-arg, it gets halfway through the progress and then shuts the screen off and kernel panics off-screen because the panic logs are saved somewhere in the preboot partition and it gives me the screen that the system "rebooted because of a problem".
I've tried the High Sierra installer which natively supports Tesla chipsets, same behavior.
I could send you my config.plist if needed.
