Need Help with Booting Issues
Hi all, trying to install Ventura on my desktop with the following specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5600G
Motherboard: MSI MAG B550
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200
SSD: Blank 1TB

I am trying to boot from USB and have Unplugged all other hard drives to eliminate possible misformatting/installing.

I previously tried to make my own EFI using the guides on both Dortania and on Elite Mac x86 but ran into continuous errors. I then tried downloading an EFI that someone with the same CPU made and after removing the kexts and drivers that weren't necessary for my system (the EFI I downloaded had wireless drivers and Intel stuff, I don't) I finally got the Install MacOS Ventura Boot Picker. I select that, then get stuck on the apple logo, no progress bar, just the logo. I've tried different USB Ports and no change.

I'm at my wit's end so I'm hoping someone can look over my EFI and tell me what I need to fix to get my machine working. Here's a link to my EFI.

iGPU or dGPU fix?
Been in the IT field for about 5 years now and know my way around most machines very well, so any more advanced tips are welcome:). But long story short, trying to build a hackintosh out of an old spare sky lake machine. To negate buying parts, I have an old Radeon Hd 4350 as to get past the typical sky lake iGPU vram issues. In research, this is most likely one of the worst combos of hardware to try this on😅 is there anyone more experienced than me to help possibly make this work? (I can upload any files that may want to be peeked at as well)
Mobo: Lenovo 30D9 (h110 chipset)
CPU: i3-6100
Ram: Crucial 16x1 2600MHz C16
dGPU: Radeon HD 4350 1G ddr2
iGPU: Intel HD 530

What is the least power consuming GPU that can I buy just for Mac OS?
I have an RTX 4070 GPU which does not make sense to replace with amd GPU as the best you can put is RX 6900 XT which is worse in many scenarios. So I decided to put something with low power consumption as the second GPU. Looking at recent GPUs, rx 6600 kinda meets the requirements but it still an overkill for my usecase. Any other recommendations among other modern/old GPUs?

IdeaPad Flex 5 (Ryzen 4500U)
Hi all,
I hackintoshed my Flex 5 on macOS Ventura earlier this year. Given the conception of NootedRed.kext, it gave me hope that I could give my laptop a new feel.
While everything seemed fine at first, using the install for a while gave way to some significant issues:
To begin with, some apps straight up just crashed. An example of this is Photo Booth. I was recommended on the Discord community to make use of Smokeless-Umaf, allowed me to launch these apps. However, I still experience constant buffering and freezing (especially when launching or using Chrome).
I would really appreciate if anyone could guide me as to whether or not any fixes for this have been found yet.

Will Hackintosh read old Apple HDDs?
Hello everyone,
Sorry for this beginner question. Long story short: I have a very very old Apple HDD (MacBook) and I would like and try to recover my files from it.
Over at /r/datarecovery I was advised that the HDD is working but it's on its last legs and my easiest way to get to those files would be using another MacOS device.
Well, I don't have one nor do I know anyone. I'm now considering trying my luck with setting up Hackintosh on my second PC.
Would you think that this may work? And if so, any recommendations on guides I should follow?

What did I do wrong?
I want to make my own EFI, but I failed many, many times. Overall I "wasted" about 300 hours into about 18-20 attempts from the ground up. I know I failed miserably.

I posted many posts on reddit where I asked for help with my laptop hackintosh, and many times I got that I did the EFI "in the wrong order". What does that mean?

Poor Performance after upgrading to Sonoma
A while back, I upgraded my Hackintosh from Big Sur to Sonoma, and while it's stable, there seems to be a noticeable decrease in performance of about 50%. I notice it mostly when opening/closing programs, as well as typing or certain drop-down menus will randomly lag behind for a second or two, intermittently but consistent.

Hackintosh keeps rebooting
I've built a few hackintosh's so I'm usually pretty good at finding solutions to problems. I can't crack this one. I've recently upgraded my PC as I wanted to use it for gaming as I was running a i7-6700k and an RX580. I now have the following:
CPU: i5-13400F
Mobo: MSI Pro Z790-P wifi
GPU: RX6650XT
1tb NVME SSD
I tried using the Comet Lake config.plist but I couldn't get to the installer. I used a guide from Technolli with some changes so Sonoma is installed. The issue I now have that it keeps randomly rebooting after anywhere up to 1 minute. I have spoofed my GPU using SSDT-BRG0 and updated the GPU spoof in the plist. Can anyone advise is I'm going wrong somewhere. I have tried already with XHCI off and on with no change.

Need help hackintosh Kernel Panic on Invalid frame pointer(OPENCORE HP Workstation Z210 SSF with Gt710)
I was stuck for the past weekend at the time of writing this trying to boot mac os big sur with easy fixable issues but one if these issues where not easily fixable to me I am gaining suspicion of the config.plist of being the culprit of the issue anyways I can't upload my entire EFI folder just the config plist sorry about that.

Is there any way to disable moving the touchpad to wake on Big Sur?
My laptop has an issue where something touches on one area of the touchscreen when the lid is closed, so the laptop fails to sleep. This isn't an issue in Windows since it doesn't wake from touchscreen touches, but macOS wakes from touchpad movements (the touchscreen emulates a touchpad). Is there a way to disable that?

Laptop doesn't see opencore
What could be the problem? Moreover, if i install clover through the application and select "install to Boot0af", clover will boot without usb stick, but i don't know what to do with the opencore, it doesn't boot without usb stick

The motherboard manual doesn't really tell me the audio codec and ethernet card specifically.
As a programmer/web developer, I don't need the best gpu. Everything works great! I have one question now that I'm here, am I able to enable XMP without causing issues on this hackintosh?

SIP macOS BigSur
Hello, today after 2 years on hackintosh I noticed that I have SIP disabled. I am one of those people who are concerned about security. Now I have SIP enabled, but is it possible that some virus has already infiltrated the system files? Or is it unrealistic and I'm just fooling myself?

Small hackintosh wifi related question
Hello, I have macos ventura on my laptop (asus vivobook s510uq) and everything works normal including wifi, but when I boot it up it won't connect to my wifi automatically even though auto join is enabled in the settings, I dont think there is a problem with kexts as speeds are blazing fast when i manually connect, but it is annoying having to manually connect each time.

Bizarre build question
This is an odd one, but I've got a couple old E5-2697v4 processors laying around from old Windows servers (the 2697v2 was used in the trashcan Mac Pro 2013's FWIW). It looks like someone is selling mobos that can use these types of processors that are made to fit in standard micro ATX cases:

Desktop with loads of computing power
I want to build a desktop that can chew through photo/video editing. I just feel like I can get more bang per buck going this route rather than buying a $2k MacBook that will be limited by the thermal capacity anyway.
My question is simple: what are the hardware bits required for the easiest assembly? What motherboard, ram, air cards, video cards etc.. I don’t want to get the hardware and try to make it work. I’d rather get the hardware that has always worked.

Anyone getting a KP on Sonoma?
Whenever I go into System Settings and click on the Wi-Fi section, the system just panics. Has anyone else encountered this before on a Sonoma hackintosh? Or is this just an AirportItlwm (actually what I am using) issue?

Picker tetst and icons too big/wrong rez...?
I have tried different settings in Opencore/EFI?Plist, but am unable to get the picker to the proper resolution (4K). I have not found anything online that has worked for me. Does anyone have any info or links. The Dortana guide doesn't cover my issue, at lest as far as I can see...I have tried entering my rez, choosing 01 and 02, 0, etc., setting it to max...when shuting down, verbose is in 4K...

Expanded EFI Partition and no boot
Hi all!
I extended the EFI partition through minitool partition wizard and moved all of the previous EFI files into the newly created EFI, but now i can't boot macOS anymore. it just boots Windows and i'm not getting the OC picker as i had before. My previous EFI was of 100 MB so i couldn't use it as much, and i needed to do it. i followed this guide to expand my EFI.

I need advice for buying two airport cards for my hackintoshes
As the title says, I need advice for buying two airport cards because I need them for getting back continuity features. I have an intel i7 17000, 16gb of RAM, intel UHD graphics 630 (I disabled the 1660 ti) build (I used the iMac20,1 SMBIOS and it's on macOS Sonoma) and an intel i5 4460, 8gb of ram, intel HD graphics 4600 build (I use the iMac 14,4 SMBIOS and it's on macOS Monterey). Can I put whatever airport card I see on the dortania's open core guide or do I have to get an airport card that's more close to those two SMBIOS?

Hackintosh/Sonoma USB-C port not working
I am using a designare z390. When I plug a drive into the usb-c port, it powers up the drive, but it won't mount it. I tested the drive on another computer and it works fine.
Does anyone know how to get the usb-c ports working correctly?
