Hi guys, I'm trying to install catalina on my Lenovo G40-80 (i5 5200u + 12GB RAM). I don't really understand how I create the bootable pendrive, so when it's time to boot, macOS starts but hangs on the apple screen, and it doesn't come out of it. Does anyone know how to help me do this installation, or is there a way for me to download the finished image and transfer it to the pendrive with the TransMac? Sorry for my bad English, I'm Brazilian, I don't speak English fluently

[HELP] "your computer restarted because of a problem"
For a period, my Hackintosh was running smoothly. However, I encountered an issue after installing an NVMe SSD and dedicating another one for Windows. While switching to Windows, everything seemed normal, but upon attempting to switch back to macOS, an error popped up stating "Your computer restarted because of a problem." Initially, I suspected a misconfiguration in the EFI folder, but even after reconfiguring it, there was no improvement. Additionally, I've been experiencing unexpected restarts lately. i would appreciate some help.
Edit:i forgot to mention that the only way to boot in macos is discharging the computer and starting in macos

Does recent UEFI vulnerability affect Hackintosh?
Saw this article on ArsTechnica, "Just about every Windows and Linux device vulnerable to new LogoFAIL firmware attack," which describes a UEFI vulnerability. It sounded to me like it would just as likely also affect Hackintoshes, since they also use the same UEFIs as Windows & Linux machines. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I have installed macOs Sonoma on i3 4170 with intel 4400 graphics and I have patched it with OCLP after booting suddenly it will freezes When it freezes the cursor will vanish after some times and no response (but the graphics are working)
Is that because of smbios or the latest version of Sonoma

Ventura Update
So, recently i converted my old but not so old Acer Laptop into a Hackintosh. I started with the Big Sur installation and it works fine except the Trackpad and The wifi which i tried to fix but couldn't... However there's already the Ventura update available too!
So my question is should/can i update it to Ventura with system update ?

FL Studio Crashing on AMD Hackintosh
So If I'm running FL Studio, the whole OS is like crashed/stuck. I had to force shutdown and dual-boot into Windows and deleting the app so it can run again when I force shutdown. Any solution or what may causing this problem?

AMD Laptop for Triple Boot Hackingtosh
I'm considering two AMD laptops for running a triple boot (Sonoma/Win11/Arch)
1) ASUS VIVOBOOK 16 M1605XA-MB941WS
2) MSI BRAVO 15 B7ED-013TH
The Asus has a Ryzen 9 7940HS with a Radeon 780m IGPU, while the MSI has a R5 7535HS A Radeon 680m IGPU, it's paired with an RX 6550M

Should I consider one over the other in regards to GPU compatibility with OSX 14.1? I'm thinking of getting the MSI Bravo since it has both an IGPU and a dedicated GPU, so if one isn't supported for hardware acceleration I can fall back on the IGPU, and use the RX6550M on Win/Linux...

iGPU 9 MB memory with no hardware acceleration and motherboard HDMI port no support.
First of all here are my device specs: (Desktop)
CPU: Intel Core i5-8400
GPU: I have 2 one is iGPU and other is dGPU iGPU-> Intel UHD 630 dGPU-> Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti 6GB OC (Gigabyte)
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 3000 MHz single stick
Storage: I have 2 SSDs Nvme M.2 and SATA Nvme M.2 -> Samsung 970 Evo Plus (500 GB) SATA -> Crucial MX 500 (250 GB)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B365M Gaming HD
Now from storage I am using my SATA SSD 250 GB to install hackintosh.
Now from GPU my dGPU is unsupported so automatically my iGPU is used.
Surprisingly when my monitor is connected to HDMI port of motherboard it doesn’t show display but when connected to dGPU’s HDMI it works.. how I don’t know..
Secondly when click on about device it shows 9 MB of graphics display plus says unknown display and also don’t show Intel UHD 630
Btw I have enable Internal Graphics via BIOS plus also choose the Initial Graphics Output to IGFX something.. it was Pcie 1 before..
Now while using windows I have no problem both the motherboard HDMI and graphics card HDMI works..
I am also not able to get hardware acceleration.. no transparency effects..

Issues upgrading from Catalina
Hi All,
CPU: Ryzen TR 12 core 1920xGPU:
RAM: 48GB
Motherboard Model: MSI x399 SLI Plus Ethernet Card:Intel BIOS revision:latest
Currently have stable Catalina 10.15.7 working with no reported issues.
Trying to upgrade to something newer and supported and booting via USB EFI, log and video of kernel panic attached.
I have followed the OC guide and upgraded my EFI to the current version of OC and thats where my issues have started, just not sure where i have gone wrong. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Can't use iCloud or even see Ethernet in Network settings.
My specs are:
Dell Optiplex 3060
iGpu UHD 630
Tp Link Wn727N usb WI-FI
I think my ethernet port is not physically working and I'm using a usb wifi with Chris1111's driver for big sur on github. I can sign in to App Store but not my account or iCloud. I discovered that ethernet connection doesn't exist in the settings so I tried Nulletgernet kext still nothing. I'm not so good at Opencore as I used to work with Clover bootloader before. I tried to follow Dortania's guide and as far as I understood I have to add the text to kernel and the ssdt patch something to ACPI section using OCAT. I did it to no avail.. I think I'm not doing it right somewhere. I tried Monterey, Ventura and Sonoma with the same result; nothing under Pci devices in Hackintool and no network device!
I think something is wrong with the EFI maybe..
What should I do? Will someone help fix my EFI please? Should I use something like ethernet to USB convertor? Or what?
BTW, activity monitor only shows statistics for uploaded data but when it comes to received data it shows 0 kb!.
Somebody please help me, I think I've done something wrong while configuring the EFI.

What smbios for i7-2600k and GT 730 ?
Since now this pc ran as a macmini using hd2000 graphics. Now I had to put an igpu as on windows 10 and 11 the hd2000 was too slow. What smbios should I put now and what do I need to add in the plist ? I have dsdt where I specify the hd2000. Thanks

Vaio SVF15A15CDB -- Incorrectly mapped brightness keys
On this laptop, brightness down is supposed to be Fn+F5 and brightness up is supposed to be Fn+F6, but instead brightness down is Fn+Num Lk and brightness up is the Pause key. I have BrightnessKeys.kext (i also tried without it). I do not want to use a key remapper app to fix it -- I want to fix it directly in my EFI.

Prohibited sign on restart only / not able to update Opencore Monterey 12.6 - 12.7.1
Running all fine on Opencore Monterey 12.6 for over a year. Shutdown and sleep are no problem, I just cannot restart or therefore update Mac OS without booting into the prohibited sign
Last entry in verbose is: matching deferred by IOUSBHostHIDDevice, which thus I assumed was still an issue with USB mapping, but my mapping is done to the guides and there's no issue when first booted?

Dual Hack-Win11 4090+6900xt - i9-14900 KF
I installed a 4090 and 6900xt on the same machine, the AMD just for MacOS.
Then I compiled SSDT-GPU-DISABLE.dsl --> SSDT-GPU-DISABLE.aml to disable NV in Opencore.
But I am not sure is it is actually disabled.. how can we make sure of it?
By the way, I am not able to boot the machine with secure boot enabled.
It's on Opencore 0.96, all EFI's are signed, it just reboots when I enable Secure Boot on Bios (keys included there)
Also, I cannot see any core over 5Ghz.. might it be cause of the chosen SMBios?
I am on MacPro7,1, when I choose iMAC1,1 ... I loose the keyboard .. :(

Sonoma or Ventura for a hackintosh?

I've got the following specs and would like a recommendation for the best OS for them.
Core i5 8500
Igpu UHD 630
Crucial Nvme SSD drive
I don't think the other specs are that important for the system right?
I tried Ventura it feels like a bit faster than Sonoma for me or is it because Sonoma is still very new?

unable to login/boot after monterey upgrade on haswell laptop
I've run monterey on this laptop before without issue except for painfully slow ssd boot times since apparently it hates my ssd, but now its just not working. I had big sur running on this and decided to try monterey again since im using a different hard drive, so i changed my smbios and ran the update and everything was working as intented, until monterey actually installed. Setup process was fine until I tried to login, where the system then rebooted. It kept doing that until eventually it would reboot during boot and not even let me into a gui. I tried updating opencore and setting everything to debug/verbose, but im still rebooting right after the apple logo shows up after the verbose parts. Is there anything specifically I need to do to get this update working?
Im on a 4th gen i5 with an HD 4400 igpu
I never wiped the previous drive so that i could just revert the whole thing if it didnt work since the current one is just a clone of that drive, so im not really screwed or anything, but bluebubbles has some new functionality only availible on monterey and i would like to try it
EDIT: Fixed by removing my WLAN/Bluetooth kexts. It's not like that ever worked in the first place and this thing is a server running off ethernet anyways, so not too big a loss

Slow wifi speed on 5 ghz network
I recently updated my hp 820 g3 laptop from monterey to ventura. Now when I am connecting to wifi, 5 ghz network is giving extremely slow speed, while 2.4 ghz is working fine. I have latest versions of Airportltlwm-Ventura. I have also tried itlwm but it also was having same problem.
PS: I have also tried -novht and -noht40 boot args, They also didn't work

Can't install nor upgrade to Sonoma
After off and on of messing around with my Ventura Hackintosh, I've been trying to upgrade to Sonoma, but I can't seem to get past the Apple Logo with the progress bar not moving at all. This happens when I hit enter the installation from USB and when I hit enter on Mac installation that the Sonoma upgrade made. I've updated the kekts, reset the nvram (twice) and opencore, but still no progress.
Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 9 5950x
GPU: Radeon 6950XT (Works via ID Spoofing)
RAM: 128GB G.SKILL Trident Z
PSU : EVGA 1000W
Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX X570
Ventura is on a 4TB LEVEN JS600 SSD, while I have Win10 on a separate NvMe
