Should I use newer or older CPU for my hackintosh build?
I am building a new hackintosh build.
I couldn't find a definitive answer, but should I base my hackintosh on the newer intel 11th gen+ cpus or the older 10th gen?

Catch-22... FixupAppleEfiImages key and schema error
Just updated to 0.9.6 OpenCore, I have managed to rid myself of 5 other missing Schema error messages (by removing the keys from config). ocvalidate from 0.9.6 says no issues, but one error/warning flashes up before OC boot screen, Missing Schema for FixupAppleEfiImages... I added the key from sample config.plist, but the Missing Schema error remains.
If I remove the key, I get a missing Key message :-|
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. thx.

Kernel Panics - daily
Ill try and keep this brief and include essential context information
I have been happily running a hackintosh for the past year but keep getting random kernel panics usually once a day or so. This is frustrating not only because everyday at any point the computer restarts but because its as sporadic as this I havent yet been able to identify or even narrow the cause down.
I have done lots of research into the matter and tried many different things but so far coming up blank.
I have mapped usb ports and kept the number of ports to minimum, well within the limit of 15
Some of the things ive tried include
Stopping using AMDRyzenCPUPowerManagement because read that it could cause random panics
Disabled Global C power state in bios
Checked my BIOS settings is consistent with what others / guides etc tell me . I've tried with CSM support enabled and disabled. I've got Above 4G encoding enabled. I've got SVM ( the equivalent of VTX disabled).
This issue spans multiple reinstalls
This issue has been present at least since Ventura - though I can't be too sure about older versions as I was only on big Sur and monterey for a short time. Being new to hackintoshing at the time I thought I would sooner or later I would stumble on the cause and solution.

Besides the panics, I have in the past had more of an issue with bluetooth randomly stopping working, the bluetoothd service crashes, the bluetooth icon shows disabled, usually have to not only reboot but unplug pc at wall for a minute before plugging back in. If I just rebooted, the Bluetooth issue would still be present. USB audio has at times been problematic but more settled of late. I find that I can only reliably use the USB ports at the back of computer ( as opposed to front panel ones). I've run hardware tests to rule out failing memory, The issue has happened across multiple hard drives and also happened before and after I upgraded RAM. My computer to my knowledge just has the dedicated GPU rather than also IGPU . I understand that you have to have certain processor ( which I dont) for IGPU to function. I have read something about frame buffer patching but not sure if that applies to me or not.
I am by no means a novice when it comes to computing but I am far from an expert and hoping someone out there who either is more knowledgeable than me or experienced a similar issue can even help me narrow down the cause as at the moment I havent the foggiest idea.
It seems to be some kind of issue with memory allocation.

VMware won't run any machine on Sonoma

VMware won't run any machine. VirtualBox works but not Vmware. I'm getting the following error messages:

Can't sign in to icloud
Hi,
I have a dell optiplex 3060 core i5 8500 with built in GPU everything is working fine but the network shows ethernet and it's en0 while I'm using a Wi-Fi USB adapter and can't try a cable right now. I'm getting an unknown error while trying to sign in.
I've also noticed that in activity monitor I only have sent data statistics, downloaded/received is 0 kb/s. I'm using Ventura 13.4.1 with the latest OC.
Any ideas?

Mercusys MA80XE AX-3000 WIFI + BT PCIe Adapter not working in macos recovery
Hi, I've got a successful Monterey installer working on OC 0.9.2, only issue is that WIFI is not being detected prior recovery. Trying to install monterey will just show a dialog that I require an internet connection. It works perfectly fine with ethernet previous but I've completely removed all ethernet cables that run along my house for convenience and replaced it with adapters in the time of using windows. I've tried using AirportBcrmFix, IntelBluetoothFirmware and BluetoolFixup which neither worked or had any change. I have a Mercusys AX-3000 wifi + bt adapter which connects in the little pcie port in my Asus B550M-K. I've left below screenshots of my EFI kexts, and specs.
I do not know if my card is intel nor do I know how to tell if it is, but I believe I'm doing something wrong here.

Hi guys i want to dual boot my PC with a Hackintosh i am not too sure about this I am making an application for IOS and Android but for Apple, i need to make use of Xcode which I cant get on windows and i am not being successful with making a virtual machine for Macbook.

Failing to boot due to cfg lock, cfg unlock methods don't seem to work. The check tool says its value is 0x00 but says locked. the 2 cfg quirks won't make it boot either.

cannot retrieve macOS Monterey installer
Hello, I'm trying to install the macOS Monterey installer. I've tried several methods but most have timed out and resulted in error.
Method 1:
softwareupdate --list-full-installers
softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 12.7
goes to 90% and says Error Domain=PKDownloadError Code=8 and Code=14
Method 2:
(latest) gibMacOS python script, but the result is incomplete.
I've tried on safe mode as well as on another macbook, without success. There also doesn't seem to be a problem with my internet, so I'm not sure what the issue is. I've been able to download using these methods not too long ago.

What hw should i choose?
One of my pcs is not working, and the second just exploded. (Those were some crappy old ones i didn't build but find/get) So i was thinking, i could build one, but I'm also interested in running macOS on it.
So im asking you, if you know any powerful but (relatively) cheap hardware builds which hackintoshing is relatively easy on for a newbie. (I was only trying to install macos on my main Ryzen (5500U) laptop which is really tricky as it uses an AMD CPU)
I would also like if it could run sonoma or ventura at least.

I made a hackintosh with a i3-5005U CPU and HD5500 Graphics
I initially had the -igfxvesa boot args set but when that was on i was seeing only 4mb VRAM and graphics acceleration turned off
I disabled it and my hackintosh wouldn't boot into the OS and keep rebooting.
I can attach my config.plist if required.

Lenovo T490 - Keep failing to boot the installer

Purely cosmetic... missing schema warnings before OC boot screen
This is an updated OC config (from 0.8.6 to 0.9.5). Obviously there are some added or missing fields.
Hackintosh is running fine, so no schema settings are required. Can I just add them with a null value?
I'll try and take a photo (they are only on screen for about a half-second) and post a link to it here.
Any other help gladly accepted.

MACDRIVE REMOVING MY MACOS USERS
I was using my dual boot hackintosh normally and I didnt change anything on both of my MacOS. Excepts for one think. I need to copy some stuff from my mac os drive to the windows one. I search on the internet and find a software called MacDrive. When I install it and reboot windows to read the macos drive, everything was working flawless. Until I boot up on the MacOS High Sierra, and no Users where found. I think it was some kind of malware, so I boot on my MacOS Ventura to see if everything was good there, and check my LittleSnitch to try to find more info about the malware. Nothing...In fact when I tried to use any other software I get macos illegal byte sequence error. The same was happening on terminal.
My Conclusion: MacDrive **c* my users on both mac systems. Thanks.

Upgrade or reinstall?
Hi, when I was installing hackintosh, I installed Catalina, after which I upgraded to BigSur. I had problems with my netflix movies not playing in safari, but another BigSur update fixed that. Now I still have one problem in safari: google maps show me artifacts and everything freezes (the problem is solved by enabling webgl via metal).
Can it be because of an old version of opencore or kexts?
