Keep Getting Stuck On EB|LOG:EXITBS:START] (Big Sur) (Opencore)
Hey all! I've never built a Hackintosh before, but I have a decent understanding of computers and I use Linux, so I gave it a shot. Got my USB made proper, but I've looked absolutely everywhere for potential help on why I keep getting stuck on EB|LOG:EXITBS:START\]. I get a boot option to install Big Sur, and it runs through up to the aforementioned file, scrambles, then I get a "stop sign" with a "support.apple.com/startup" underneath it. I'm pretty sure that's a kernel panic, and I've looked through Dortania's guides and I've tried about every option there, still no results. I even used the Sanity Checker and made sure my config.plist was set up. I'm obviously off on something. Here's my hardware:Mobo: Asus Z490 Prime
Processor: 10th Gen Intel i7-10700k (Comet Lake)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX570 8GB
RAM: 2x TeamGroup T-FORCE VulcanZ 8GB 3600MHZ
Drives: 240GB Inland Professional SSD (240GBM) (I have 2, but using one right now to install and will add the second on later)
PSU (if it matters): Corsair RM750

The only other information I know is that the line it stops on is just after something involving a bunch of USB devices, like my keyboard, mouse, the RGB lighting on the mobo, and a USB 2.0 hub (I assume this is the mobo's built-in ports, but please correct me if I'm wrong).

best way to connect a hackintosh to macbook pro for easy file sharing? thunderbolt bridge?
I don't want to use file sharing through network, since I'm using a public network, i have no control on whose on the network with me, i prefer a cable, I tried thunderbolt bridge did not work on my hackintosh does not have that option in the network services,
I could use an ethernet cable adapter on my macbook pro maybe?
any ideas are welcome, thank you!

HELP QEMU visual artifacts
I'm doing this through WSL on Windows and QEMU/KVM on Ubuntu. Everything appears to be working but I get these horrible visual artifacts whenever something on the screen gets updated and whenever I move my mouse. If I click, it resets but it gets really annoying really quickly. Anyone know how to fix?
Weird thing is that the artifact part extends past the QEMU window and I'm pretty sure it's the QEMU window in general since clicking Machine or anything in the tab on the top will cause it to also do this.

Dell Latitude 5580, installed Ventura, CPU throttled to 800MHz?
First timer here. Followed Dortainia guide & installed Ventura and all is good except for one thing I can't figure out, looking for some pointers. System seemed kind of slow, and checking CPU freq yields this: (no matter what load is going on, meaning I can start up an IDE and it'll stay at 800Mhz, just take way longer than it should)

It seems like the fans just run low constantly, so I'm assuming it's just throttling the CPU. I'm so close to having this working great but this weird throttling thing is a real make/break for practical use. I also have a specific question: can this be related to how the OC was configuring during the OS install, or does that not matter? Meaning I don't want to spend a bunch of time tweaking my EFI just to realize I have to reinstall macOS to fix this. (I assume not though, seems these things should be taken care of at boot level).

Using non native components?
so i’ve been researching hackintoshes for a while and this got me thinking.
obviously native components that were used in real macs would be the best compatibility wise, but what are the ramifications of using non standard hardware, especially CPU.
i’ve seen people build Ryzen hackintoshes and intel hackintoshes (using extreme line processors e.g 6950x or 3930k)
although they weren’t used in real macs, would they generally perform better than the native but less powerful counterparts?

BSOD INACCESSIBLEBOOTDEVICE when dual boot mac os and window
I have installed hacintosh and window in 2 ssd but after some boot on window, it shows this screen. After windows shows this screen, I can't access into window anymore. I try to fix UEFI boot or into win PE and fix boot or access into boot option and boot directly from window partition , it's still show blue screen, it like the window partition has been encrypted and can't access and I have to install the new window again. Does anynone know the fix ? please share with me.

Running 3 monitors dGPU + iGPU
I am running into a issue while connecting one of my displays to the iGPU in my hack. The two monitors that are running through my dGPU are fine and work perfectly. But the issue comes with the third. It is black but it is on.

ThinkPad L440 NVMe + WiFi card
Hello guys, i recently got my hands on a Lenovo ThinkPad L440 and i am looking to get Monterey on it. I have a few doubts regarding the SSD and the wifi card. So i opened the laptop and i can see one pci port has a wifi card and i assume the other one is for a NVMe? What type of NVMe do i need to buy and can i boot Monterey from it? Second i just want to know what wifi pci card would be compatible out of the box for Monterey? I don't need wifi6 i am ok with 2.4ghz and 5ghz.

Not recognised in MacOS, but it's also not recognised in Ubuntu without the sleep wake workaround. Fucking Acer, amirite.

NVRAM:
I assume it's working? I wasted a good amount of time trying to figure this out but capitulated. I can kind of get emulated nvram working but if I create a variable in terminal I can't overwrite or remove said variable unless I install the LogoutHook command again. This isn't the case on a MacBook so I'm not sure about the emulated nvram.
For some reason unknown to me, I get stuck on \[EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START\] if I don't include the OpenVariableRuntimeDxe driver, so I'm doing that but have uninstalled the LogoutHook Launchd. iServices is working fine.

State of 13th and 14th gen intel multi-core optimization?
Hello,
I have a very smoothly running 10th gen i9 paired with 128gb of ddr4 and a sapphire 6800 xt nitro. It’s however beaten by my M1 Max 16” MBP with 32gb of ram for almost everything. The weakness of this laptop is 3D so I’m trying to decide if I keep the Hack and update the mobo and cpu to 13th or 14th gen? I’d likely get a gigabyte z690 aero g and move my ram over.
With cpufriendfriend and other optimization kexts can the Pcores and Ecores be used in a more optimized way or is it still only use the Pcores or use all the cores and they are all utilized at Ecore speed?

Anyone got an Arrandale CPU (i3-M350) with GeForce 310M working with Open Core?
I know, it's an old Hackintosh but I wonder if someone could modernize it for today's use?
I know of a Lenovo G560 that runs 10.11 with Clover but that track pad is a mess because it's so sensitive that it moves the mouse while your finger didn't even touch it. Actually you can't use it without extreme caution because even file system windows pop up and it marks everything when you touch the track pad.
That machine has no UEFI and macOS runs on legacy. Anyone here who has/had this thing booting wit OC and can tell how this was made?

I’ve installed bootcamp according to the Dortania’s opencore guide but now that I’ve installed bootcamp I have to manually mount my secondary 1tb drive for some reason every time I boot the windows partition. Does someone know the reason? If yes, I would be really grateful for any help

RGB Question!
Hey all!
I just finished my new Hackintosh build and I was wondering if there was a good way to control my fans' RGB that are connected to the Razer addressable rgb controller!
I did install OpenRGB and it did detect my Razer ARGB Controller but I couldn't do anything with it, if I click stuff it doesn't do anything.

Also, I have an NZXT Kraken Elite 360 with an LCD display, would there be any chance of controlling that LCD display on macOS?

Some time ago, I've successfully set up a working macOS Sonoma on a [Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15ach6](https://www.lenovo.com/fr/fr/p/laptops/ideapad/ideapad-gaming-laptops/gaming-3-gen-6-(15-amd)/wmd00000479#tech_specs) laptop but I've encountered sleep issue. When I run `pmset -g log | grep -e "Sleep.*due to" -e "Wake.*due to"` it says me that `GP19/UserActivity` is responsible of the wake of the system. I can't find anything about this error on internet. Do you have any clue ? Here is my specs :

- **GPU**: NVidia RTX 3050 Ti (disabled in BIOS)

Windows Subsystem for OS X
Previous versions of windows subsystem use the compatibility layer. WSL 2 actually uses a Ubuntu Installation. This led me to think would it be possible to use the windows subsystem too virtualize OS X?
I think it would be really cool if I could access a Mac OS X terminal using the windows subsystem.
I use a Mac for one purpose. I have some automations that I use with cfgutil. I found the quickest and most efficient way to reset iPads is a combination of MDM and starting the process out with cfgutil. Basically the iPad is told to reset to factory condition, the device is renamed, a background is applied and automatic enrollment is initiated. Then the device can be unplugged and everything is pushed down wirelessly though MDM.
This gives me the power of MDM but the granular control of some very specific naming conventions and corresponding background application.
I just set up a fresh install of Windows 11 with WSL and USB support. Right now I'm testing out libmobiledevice, to rename iOS devices and it works really well. The problem with libmobiledevice, is that it only includes a restore functionality which takes longer and reinstalls the firmware instead of just initiating a reset.
I'm sure that there would be a bunch of other great use cases for a hackintosh windows subsystem for OSX.
I'm hoping somebody has already attempted this and that a solution for this already exists. If not, what does everybody think of this? Is it feasible, could something like this be done?
