Unsupported mac
I need some help, I have a 2012 macbook pro, I used ocpl to install sonoma in it qnd also install the graphics and wi-fi patches. After a few days the mac started to misbehave that i could hardly access my applications so i prepared another installer in another mac.
Whenever i try to install the installer i have prepared in my 2012 macbook pro 2012 it gets stuck on progress bar at the late stages of the installation. What can i do?

Boot Failure Detected
I've had my machine for 6 years and just got this error (see photo) for the first time when trying to boot up. I have 2 SSD's: one with windows and one with mac OS. Normally I will hit F12 and choose to boot into mac. Otherwise by default it will boot into windows. I get this message after turning on the machine.
Sidenote - I actually just built a brand new windows machine, interesting timing lol, but I'd like to know what's going on here with my current machine and begin moving my files. Everything is backed up to backblaze on my Mac OS and I'm transition to windows.

Hey all! I've posted here several times and I finally got my PC to run! The NVME wasn't supported and although I mentioned it was an Intel 600p, It turned out it was the SK Hynix Gold P31. Regardless I bought the SN 770, readjusted a few measures on my USB, and got to boot and install successfully.

The current issues I have:
\-Animations are very very slow- This could range from opening or minimizing a window, opening the launchpad and entering a folder, and movement seems to be slightly laggy. Webpages load weird.
\- No Bluetooth/ Airdrop
I have assumed I would run through some problems, but aside from that, I am doing pretty well on this machine! Because I am dual booting I don't want to have to switch HDMI's each time when either booting from my graphics card or from my iGPU (motherboard's HDMI).
Currently my System Information says my GPU is in use, just with 16MB VRAM, causing the bottleneck I'm assuming. I am also using a 2560 x1080 UW-UXGA Ultrawide LG if that helps.

macOS can't utilize the full RAM
As the title says, macOS is unable to fully utilize all 16gbs of my RAM. As soon as it reaches 12/13gbs, the system starts using the SWAP memory instead. As much as I like SWAP as a feature, I'd prefer my SSD to live a year or 2 more. I've tried multiple BIOS settings, including enabling the XMP profile but the results are always the same. The thing is, it worked just fine in Windows, but macOS just doesn't want to play nicely. I use Android Studio and Xcode most of the time so those 4GBs would greatly improve my developer experience.

Temps of Hackintosh’s CPU on AMD Laptops
What are average temps of CPU while idle state of macOS. I have seen a Youtuber’s Video where he describes that his hacbook’s were 60-70 degree celsius. I would like to know what is average temps of your amd cpu,if you have tried hackintoshing in amd laptop.

Sound via bluetooth so laggy
Hey everyone! I have trouble with my bluetooth. Im using Sonoma and AsusBT-500. It works and I can connect to my AirPods, but sound is so laggy. Do I need to buy AsusBT-400 or it can be fixed?

Question on updating through software update with Sonoma and OCLP wifi patches.
I'm running Sonoma 14.1 which I installed through the App Store, not software update. After I installed it I used OCLP to add back wifi and bluetooth functionality. Because I'm running without SIP, will I no longer get a notification that a new update is available?
For example, it says that 14.1.2 became available 7h earlier in the App Store but I don't see any indication it's available for install in my General tab even though my software update page says it scanned for available installs only a couple minutes ago.

Everything works (no Metal support, obv).
For giggles, I bought a used early 2011 2.3GHz Core i5-2415 based logic board off of eBay. Its dimensions are nearly identical to the '09 board. Some connectors (camera, WiFi, BT) are different.
OCLP barked at me about configs being specifix to platforms--so I re-ran root patches for MBP8,1. Other than no camera, WiFi, and BT everything works. In fact, this system now benches higher in Geekbench 6 than my HP hack (Haswell, Core i5-4310U vPro, HD 4400 graphics <--also running Sonoma 14.1.2) by about 300 points in multicore (clock speed probably).

Need help regarding app development with Xcode on Hackintosh
I have installed macOS Sonoma on my windows pc in dual boot mode. I have set up everything and everything is going good except for the main purpose of this installation which is IOS app development.
I am doing React Native app development. I have set up the development environment for React Native properly. After that I have installed Xcode, downloaded IOS 17 image and also built a simulator.
Now I am facing two major problems whenever I am trying to run the React Native app on the simulator through Xcode:
Problem 1: I am getting the error - Command PhaseScriptExecution failed with a nonzero exit code
In order to try to resolve this error I have tried everything I found on the internet like,
• Opening the workspace folder in Xcode and changing Excluded Architectures for Debug and Release from i386 to arm64 in Build Settings
• Adding -f to the source="$(readlink "${source}")" in
the pods-appname-frameworks.sh file
• Deleting the Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData folder
But none of these solved the issue.
Problem 2: My simulator is not booting up properly, I am seeing a black screen and whenever occasionally I could see the screen it is too much irresponsive.
In order to try to resolve this error I have tried everything I found on internet like,
• Tried to install older IOS version (e.g.15) and build a simulator with it. But the simulator failed to boot.
• Tried to install an older version of Xcode (e.g.14) but it was unable to open before it could be upgraded.
If these two problems are Hackintosh specific then how can I resolve these ?
Note:
1. The Android emulator of Android Studio is running fine without any errors and the app runs on it just fine.
2. If I create a Swift app project in Xcode then it would build without any errors and run fine on the simulator as well.

Crashes after EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START
Every time I go into the OpenCore BootLoader and click the installer, gives the same error and crashes. I'm trying to run Ventura on a Kaby Lake Laptop Processor.
Specs:
Model - Levono IdeaPad110IKB
Processor - Intel i5-7200 2.5gHz, x4
Graphics - Mesa Intel 620 HD IGPU

ACPI Error on HP Pavilion 15 DK1xxx
And for God sake don't link me that damn Dortania tutorial, I've been there for years. This time it just doesn't want to work
I've taken out MacOS Big Sur SSD1 from my Desktop PC which still works, and now I have it on my Laptop using USB to SATA on a 2.0 port, so it's already installed on SSD1. OpenCore is on the internal SSD0 on a little FAT32 partition, which I think is the responsible of driving me crazy.
My configuration is a HP Pavilion 15 DK1xxx Laptop:
Intel Core i5 10300H
Nvidia GeForce 1660TI (-wegnoegpu)
16GB DDR4
MacOS Big Sur

eGPU on laptop/razer blade 14?
Hello everyone,
recently hackintoshed my razer blade 14, unfortunately it has no graphics acceleration. My cpu is the ryzen 9 6900hx with radeon 680m iGPU. At first I thought nootedred worked on 6000 series ryzen but I guess not. My laptop does support thunderbolt, is anything stopping me from getting an eGPU to work? I found a cheap rx560 egpu on ebay.

Hardware Acceleration issue on my MacOS Sonoma 14.1
I was trying to use Udemy and it kept showing me a blank screen and I looked it up why and It said that it could be a hardware acceleration (I'm not sure)

7 USB 3.0 Pcie Card vs 15 port Limit Hackintosh SONOMA
Hello everyone,
I was loocking around and I didn't find any very recent posts about this, so this will be proabably helpful for everyone in my same position.
As a complete newbie and not expert in the field (this is my first hackintosh) it probably will look like dummy questions to the most experts, but for people like myself probably not.
So here they goes:

Should I do "usb mapping" before to insert the pcie card, or should I map it with pcie conneted already plugged?

Will the 7 usb pcie card count as extra 7 usb or they should be counted in the 15 ports limits? I read somewhere that the actual limit is 15 ports PER CONTROLLER. Some motherboards have 2 - the built-in Intel one and another controller that isn’t Intel.

After years of hackintoshing PCs I had lying about, I purchased a M1 MacBook Air off of a friend for a very good price and have been using it ever since. It was a wild ride and a awesome time, but sometimes things happen.
Apple silicon is amazing and couldnt be more happy. Thank you to the whole community for helping when it was needed, either through here or the discord, you guys are the best!

Inquiry - current Mac OSs/Hackintosh and Logic Pro functionality
Hi there!
I hope it is appropriate to ask here - my principal issue is not related directly to Hackintosh machine but maybe the solution may come from your experience and knowledge dear people.
I have an old Macbook Pro Early 2011 (8,2), I upgraded the OS to Monterey a few weeks ago using OpenCore. It worked OK-ish for the most part with Logic Pro (missing the playhead but I got used to work with it), yesterday I encountered a new phenomena - each time I hit a plugin or even try to edit an audio track I get a prompt saying Unable To Initialize Graphics, closing this prompt window shuts down Logic - I can't use it anymore.
My question is - is there away to cause Logic to ignore the incompatibility of the hardware?
I also wonder if current Logic can work on a hackintosh machine?
Any help will be much appreciated!

No wifi after Ventura upgrade
I'm using an HP 15-cx0056wm laptop, and it was working fine with monterrey, but due to app store incompatibility and Ventura installed just fine, but for some reason after the upgrade Bluetooth and wifi don't work. I tried using iwtlm and it kept freezing during boot, and airportitlwm doesn't yield any results. Will post EFI if needed.
