Hackintosh install hangs at applecredentialmanager
Been trying for a few days to install Mac OS Monterey on my Ryzen 7 4800h igpu Vega 7 dgpu rx5500m laptop however I can't get past "AppleCredentialManager: init: returning, result = true, instance = <ptr> " https://imgur.com/a/UOBiw53

Whats the future for hackintosh devices?
Since apple has officially completed their silicon phase on all their devices and already most new programs are requiring minimum mac os ventura what do you guys think in how many years there will be the end to hackintosh? In the next 5 years?

Ryzentosh stuck at "hpet: map device registers failed"
Recently got back an older laptop from my dad, it's an Ideapad 720s with r5 2500u. Have been trying to get opencore working on this machine with Nootedred for 2-3 days now, feels like I'm hitting a wall.
When I tried to boot the Big Sur installer I made on another hackintosh, "hpet: map device registers failed" is the last line that appear before rebooting or shutting down.
In the log file, I couldn't find anything similar to that and it seems to die after this error "Err(0xE) <"usr\\standalone\\OS.dmg.root_hash">"

I have tried the trouble shooting section of Dortania's guide and I have searched both error, none of the solution I tried work. Not sure what to do next.

New Release oc-efi-maker
oc-efi-maker is a tool written in Bash (Bourne Again SHell) that I've been writing over the past few months, it can create a opencore EFI within a few minutes by asking questions to the user.
It's features include:
\- Downloading with multiple threads (aria2)
\- An extras menu where you can enable boot chime, GUI etc..
\- Support for all Intel Desktop/Laptops
\- Support for AMD Desktop (AMD Laptop hopefully coming soon!)
And I hope to have more features.

i7 12700H + RX 6600 8Gb lagging after instalation
Hello everyone, I'm facing a problem with a Hackintosh I built.
Specifications:
Intel Core i7 12700H
64GB DDR4 3200Mhz (32Gx2)
2Tb NVMe SSD
AMD Radeon RX 6600 8Gb
Wifi BCM94360CS with NVME Adapter
Sonoma 14.1.1
Open Core updated yesterday (0.9.6)
All kexts updated
I bought the pieces following a video I saw in the internet.
The installation starts and ends successfully but the system is extremely slow. The mouse keeps that little ball spinning all the time, it is practically impossible to use even if it is a high-specification computer.
I tried to observe if there were any changes in resource usage during these glitches and I didn't notice anything relevant. CPU and Memory remain low all the time. I upgraded to the Sonoma from scratch, and the problem persisted (initially, I had installed the Ventura).
I ran benchmark programs on the CPU and GPU to see if anything would fail and everything worked perfectly with high result numbers. But the system simply doesn't work as it should.
The problem is very generic, so I have no idea how to research to find a solution, and that's why I'm asking for help. Basically, for any simple operation such as copying and pasting text, opening system properties or "about this mac", typing, etc. the mouse always keeps in loading state for longer than expected.
Anyway, I have no idea how to solve it. If anyone can shed some light, I would appreciate it.
PS: The problem also occurred before the OpenCore and kexts update.

Duel Boot Hackintosh 2023
Hi Guys,
Currently building a new PC and thought it might be cool to use it as a duel boot Hackintosh, I know AMD isn't looked at as the best option but is currently the best value on the PC side. Here is the build i'm thinking of, what do you guys think? Is there any hardware choices i could make to make my life easier or would this be a a good choice. Hoping to Boot either Sonoma or Ventura with Win 11 👍

Regarding Kingston 400
I'm planning to buy Kingston but are there any issues regarding it when hackintosh. Keep in mind that I cant set my sata to achi in bios due to limits. If I use Kingston and install it, would I face any issues? or maybe the drive is not showing in disk utility?

Finally got my desktop all setup, updated, and configured with my KVM to switch between my gaming desktop and hackintosh. I decided to paint my Hack all white (Including the stock AMD 5500 cooler and the entire 5700XT Tuf assembly, and my gaming desktop full stealth. I dont have issues with my audio input/output due to using a rodecaster pro as my audiodac so coreaudio just works thankfully. Mainly running the build for creative applications *FPV Drone Video Editing and XCode Development* Thanks for looking!

T480s on Ventura: none of the internal inputs functions: no keyboard, no trackpad, no trackpoint
They work in the open core, but not after boot...
External mouse and keyboards function without problems.

Odd sound issue after upgrading to Sonoma
My sound was basically perfect under Ventura. After upgrading, my sound pops and then turns off after about 15 seconds of idle, as if in a power saving mode. If I go to say YouTube, or anything that plays a sound, it pops and plays the sound. Then after 15 seconds, it clicks and turns off again. I seem to remember that there was something from 3 - 4 years ago that would prevent sound from 'sleeping' by playing something in the background, like a low level hiss or something unobtrusive.

Big Sur Hackintosh very slow after weeks of being fast.
Specs: Surface Pro 5 with iGPU displaying to integrated screen
title, why is it so slow? It has a problem with a battery so it can't off the charger for very long... but when it was Windows 10 it couldn't be off the charger at all.

Hackintosh audio on Lenovo Flex 2 15 with Realtek ALC233 Codec
I've been at this for 3 weeks pulling on my hair and I just can't fix the audio, I've tried all of the layout-id's in boot-args and also tried doing it in DeviceProperties I've had no luck with neither (maybe acpi issues), can someone please show me how to do it from a clean slate? (preferably done in open core configurator)

(WIP) Behold the first GDDR6 XSX/PS5-based AMD Hackintosh
fter a few days, I’ve successfully managed to boot into my Cardinal-based system. Everything works almost fine: USB 3.2, audio, sleep.

• Ryzen 4700S Desktop Kit
• 16GB GDDR6 (256-bit bus, providing about the same bandwidth as the M1 Pro)
• GTX Titan (Big Sur)
• HD 7970 (Monterey)
• 1TB SATA SSD

Specifically, the Ethernet controller on this board is the Asix AX88179. Drivers are easier to find, but I’ve tried every version from 1.2 to 2.4, and none of them worked.
​
Chipset: AMD A77e Fusion. I didn’t find much information, but it’s the same used on thin clients with AMD RX CPUs.
​
I’ve modded the BIOS to enable above 4G decoding and enable xHCI handoff.
​
This success showcases how versatile OpenCore can be. My next step will be getting it to boot from an RTL9210-based NVMe enclosure and upgrading the GPU to RX 6600 XT.

• Good for SFF builds
• Nice RAM speed
• 4x USB 3.2 10Gb/s ports

Cons:

• Lack of expansion options

Which OS should I update to from Mojave?
I never updated my OS since building my hackintosh several years ago. Probably should have because I feel a bit rusty and tentative about tweaking anything now since it feels foreign.
But anyway, some apps are requiring an update and I'm wondering if I should update to the most current macOS Sonoma, or was there a better OS that runs most optimally for hackintosh users?

Gigabyte Z490 Xtreme or MSI Z590 Unify ATX for Hackintosh
I have both the Gigabyte Z490 Xtreme and the MSI Z590 Unify ATX. I would like to know if the Z490 Xtreme is a good option for a Hackintosh project. Is the MSI Z590 with dedicated GPU a better Hackintosh board? I would consider the MSI only if there are major issues with the Gigabyte board. I plan to use a 10900K for the build(s).
I am open to feedback, discussions, and links to videos/articles on which would be a better (stable, fast performance in development work) option.

USB Mapping for AMD?
So I gave OpenCore a shot and love it. EFI is setup, booting into the desktop is solid. But now onto USB mapping.. I’m finding it difficult to find any good documentation on AMD setups and how to do it. Hackintool doesn’t see anything other than “500 Series Chipset..”
Does anyone know a dummies guide to mapping for AMD? Something that will walk me through in plain English. My CPU is a Ryzen 6-core 5600x and mobo is Asus ROG B550 Gaming-A. Running Ventura and planning on upgrading to Sonoma once “stable”.
