I've choose a Big Sur because of same reason why i'm installed Catalina on my real macbook: I like vintage systems, it feels special for me

Mini-Guide Fixing Broadcom hardware compatibility issues with MacOS 14 Sonoma
## Background
The latest version of MacOS, Sonoma 14.1, removes support for a lot of legacy hardware, including Broadcom wireless chips. In effect, this means that older Mac computers (and hackintoshes), lose WiFi and Bluetooth support.
A workaround found by the Hackintosh community is to restore older framework files and kexts from an older version of MacOS. Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of SIP or System Integrity Protection. Up until the last version of MacOS Ventura, SIP was fully enabled, allowing for totally unmodified system files, as well as Secure Boot.
Thankfully, Sonoma comes with relatively few material improvements (the first feature that Apple touts on its announcement page is the introduction of new screensavers), so those who stick with Ventura aren't missing out on too much.
## Guide
Adopted from Cyberdevs on the InsanelyMac forum.
To use Open Core Legacy Patcher's current patches, you'll need to ensure the following:
1. System Integrity Protection is set to 0x803 csr-active-config, the data value should read 03080000
2. Reset NVRAM or add csr-active-config to the Delete panel to ensure the new variable is set correctly.
3. Make sure that the Secure Boot Model is set to Disabled.
1. Navigate to Misc > Security > SecureBootModel (top right hand side)
4. Block the kext com.apple.iokit.IOSkywalkFamily
1. Set the Strategy of the blocked kext to Exclude
5. Set MinKernel to 23.0.0 to ensure patches only apply on Sonoma
6. Inject the following kexts:
1. IOSkywalk.kext
2. IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext This kext has a child, AirPortBrcmNIC.kext, make sure that it is injected as well. (OpenCore Configurator will automatically detect it)
7. Set MinKernel to 23.0.0 to ensure patches only apply on Sonoma
8. Once these are injected, you can run OpenCore-Patcher's Post-Install option and root patch. On reboot, Wireless support should be restored assuming your machine was configured correctly to the above.

My hackintosh reboots every 3 seconds (ventura)
ok so i have my hackintosh ventura installed but i cant even open it it restarts my pc before even like loading the home screen i just downloaded it and every 3 seconds it restarts and say your macOS had an issue do you wanna reboot is my SMBIOS my problem because im using the MacPro7,1 SMBIOS instead of the iMac20,1

Comet Lake i3 10100t iGPU
Hello, so I've been trying to get Sonoma to run on my HP all in one and the only thing I'm having issues with is getting the graphics to work. It's showing only 7mb of vram and I've tried almost everything to get the igpu to work. Any tips on how to increase the vram and make it recognized is appreciated!

Can't finish installing macOS, reboot backs to OC menu
I was installing macOS Monterey without any problems until the last 12 minutes of installing. Just all of a sudden, it reboots back to OC menu. I need help pls.

Hdd is not recognized Catalina
Hey, I made some progress on my latest hack (a Samsung laptop with i5 3230m, geforce 610M) and got into Catalina installer... but the installer can't see my hard disk. I have already tried SATA-Unsupported and there are no extra kexts. Do you have any idea?
Now it's a vanilla installation with my own EFI, nothing premade (just acpi because I don't have any os on this computer)

Boot Loop after first phase of install after using working EFI
Hi,
I've been successfully running a Hackintosh for a couple of years now. Upgraded to Big Sur \~a year ago with no problems. Ran like butter.
Recently had to erase the whole HDD due to a bug with iCloud + Time Machine. I made sure I transferred the working EFI and made a bootable Big Sur Installer.
Idea was to make a clean re-install. I get to picker, select Big Sur Installer, as you'd expect. Phase one of installation starts no problem. Computer reboots (didn't see if the installation finished, I think it did), but then, the PC omits boot picker entirely, goes into verbose for a second before rebooting. It is now stuck in a boot loop.
I'm super confused by this. Any help would be really greatly appreciated. I'd tell you which OpenCore version I'm using, but don't know how to check without access to the boot picker.

Was told to try disabling DirectGopRendering, but it was already disabled. Tried enabling too, same problem.

How I can do a Hackintosh.
Hi guys. I want to start in the world of Hackintosh, as I need to use XCODE, but it would be a little expensive for me to buy a Macbook. That's when I thought about making a Hackintosh with my machine, and I would like some tips if possible.
My current specs:
CPU: R5 5500
GPU: RX 6600
RAM: 24Gb DDr4

I know that Intel is generally used, but I would like to know if it really needs to be Intel and if it is possible to make a Hackintosh with AMD GPUs.
Edit: I am willing to buy Intel if necessary, is there any Intel CPU in particular that you recommend?

Can I "hackintosh" a HP Omen 45L and have a partition for Ventura?
Hey y'all, ran into a ton of problems with Dropbox and my limited internal storage for my new Mac Studio so I'm considering returning it because they only allow internal drives for syncing. All of my larger external SSDs are Mac OS formatted, and I'm kind of at a loss.
My thought is to switch to the HP Omen and do a Hackintosh partition on the internal drive so I can use the Mac-formatted drives I have there. I’m trying to hackintosh my Lenovo chrome book. I already have a boot device but I need to wipe the drive and get it to boot from the installer. Note: it does have a touchscreen, will that cause issues.

What is the best Hackintosh build for video editing in 2023?
Hey y'all, I'm a video editor here and I'm having a lot of trouble with Dropbox's internal syncing requirements for Mac's. I'm thinking of switching to a Hackintosh now, but don't know where to start in the post-Apple Silicon world.
What is the best/most reliable build you'd recommend for around $2000-2400? Mind you, I'm working on 4-8k video files.

Hackintosh was using internal Intel 7265NGW wifi, now it's not. Acer C771 laptop (i3-6100U), OpenCore 0.9.5, Intel 7265NGW, macOS Mojave
I am hackintosh-ing this Acer laptop. Things are going well so far! It is booting Mojave, and is mostly working.. still have some tweaks to make...
My issue is -- when I was using the machine earlier this morning, it was using the Intel wifi (7265NGW) just fine... I am using the standard/generic AirportItlwm.kext. I surfed the internet, sent some iMessages, downloaded some files... Intel wifi was working great! I was very happy!
At some point, I went to the config.plist and removed the boot args (I felt like I didn't need the verbose, keepsyms, or debug flags anymore).... now when the Acer boots, it won't turn on/enable the Intel wireless.
When I go to Settings->Network, the wifi adapter is listed, but says "Wifi Off". The button "Turn Wifi On" is illuminated... but the wifi doesn't turn back on. I didn't remove/add any kexts... I don't see any error messages....
Suspecting that I somehow corrupted the config.plist -- I have restored the EFI folder to where it was prior to my change, to no avail. The original boot args are back in place... I suspect that something changed on the macOS Mojave side.. but I have no idea what?!?!!? When I removed the keepsyms=1 from the boot args, did that cause something in the Mojave installation to change/switch?
EDIT: In the Console, I see a repeated error "com.apple.preference.network.remoteservice -- failed to set airport power state"
EDIT2: Bluetooth is working OK.. doesn't it use the same Intel 7265NGW chip?

No boot picker after MacOS install
Hi,
My Hackintosh was fully functional. Big Sur. Had to wipe everything due to a complex space issue with Time Machine / iCloud.
Made a bootable installer and transferred working EFI to external hard drive.
Erased PC HD, and started Big Sur install process. Computer reboots towards the end, but now skips boot picker entirely. Goes straight into verbose mode for a split second before restarting.
I can’t comment on the opencore version and bigsur versions yet, but does anyone know how a working EFI would bypass the picker entirely after the first stage of install? What could cause this?
It’s now stuck in a boot loop…
Just trying to understand what’s going on until I get my hands on another machine.

Everything else runs fine most of the time. I can’t get more than 5 MB of VRAM. I’ve tried framebuffer and all other tips I found on the internet. I can’t find any values that don’t either give me a black, blank or frozen screen. Is my laptop even Hackintosh capable? I’ve contacted companies that charge money and they assure I should be able to run Sonoma easily but I can’t even get my graphics acceleration to budge. There are countless posts online saying it’s fixable but I think I’m missing something. I’ve tried using hackintool to see if I can’t try patching or something but as soon as I try patching I get either endless boot loop or panics. Also, my graphics are displayed as ???? In hackintool. I can’t change the resolution on my hackintosh to other than 1600x900. No metal vda decoder failed etc. Has anyone got any idea how to fix this?

Convert old Hack into NAS-type backup?
I built a hack ten!?! years ago based on Slugnet's video editor on TonyMacx86: GA-Z77X-UD5H | i7 3770K (orig link is gone?). I don't have enough time to try to hack my way to upgrade this or build another one - but the thing is still running Mojave decently.
I need a decent backup solution for my Mac Studio. The internal HDDs in my hack feel way more dependable than any usb external drives I have. Often times my external drives on my studio disconnect and mess my up cloud backup solution as well.
Both are on a switch connected to my router. Can I just leave Mojave on there? Or could I install Linux or Windows? Need an automated way to back up.

Hi, I already have a working Hackintosh with OpenCore in legacy mode (DuetPkg)
The specs are:
* Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31225
* Foxcon q65 motherboard (hp bios)
* Gigabyte gt 730
and due to bios of this motherboard it didn't recognize OpenCore in UEFI mode. But i managed to boot into opencore in UEFI mode on this pc. And it stuck on error \[EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START\]. I already read Dortania troubleshooting about this error and it did not help me. So yep, i would apreacite any help.

Catalina to Sonoma
Hi,
I am running Catalina super stable on my hackintosh, as i was not missing anything, I never updated. Now things start to break as some software doesnt support Catalina anymore.

Sonoma 14.0 > 14.1.1 update left OCLP machine unbootable
I've got a late 2012 mac mini running OpenCore Legacy Patcher that I use primarily as a BlueBubbles server. A while back I updated it to Sonoma 14.0 in preparation for new iMessage features. Today, I attempted to update it to 14.1.1 as I'd heard 14.0 had some pretty bad issues. I made sure to update OpenCore before the macOS update to attempt to prevent issues. I left it unattended (as I usually do), and when I came back it seems to be bootlooping between these two screens. I can't use my macOS installer USB as it complains about not being able to downgrade the machine. Reboots do not fix the issue.

How can I spoof iServices on virtual machine programs
Hello all, I want to be able to use iServices (iMessage, FaceTime etc) on a UTM vm. How can I spoof a serial number in UTM? If there’s any other virtual machine apps available in the App Store that can do this please let me know.

Alderlake + Monterey stuck at MacOS installer: BaseSystemKernelExtensions.kc
I've been trying to work on this for weeks and can't get past this portion of the MacOS install. It would get stuck at BaseSystemKernelExtensions.kc (see screenshot).
Out of desperation, I've tried another person's EFI that uses the same motherboard and MacOS version, but still gets stuck at the same spot.

Hackintosh Samsung Laptop
I'm trying to set a hackintosh on my old laptop... I used it for some years and once when I was playing some game it suddenly went black (2020). Some months ago, I finally made it boot windows 10 32 bit, and it can only boot legacy systems. It seems that its UEFI us a bit broken. Ubuntu only works from usb but, opencore boots good with dualPkg. Now I'm trying to set things up to install Mountain Lion, but I'm facing this weird thing on booting the installer. Do you have any idea?

Intel core i5 3230 4gb ram 160 hdd GeForce 610M I can't look at network because I can't access any os right now Uefi but only legacy boot and can't enter setup
and yes, I'm using mald0n's efi because my own does not work

MacbookPro 8.2 no signal to the external monitor

I need help with my hackintosh on a Acer nitro 17?
It keeps getting stuck at "couldn't alloc applekeystoretest" maybe my efi is wrong. I'm trying to install Mac os 13.6, I know the GPU(4050) isn't compatible, but the processor is it's a ryzen 7 7735hs. I'll include my efi I know something wrong with it I know someone got it working on this CPU I don't care if it's not running well id just like to get it running, appreciate it.
