OC failed to load configuration!
So i'm trying to download mac OS ventura on my system and this happens when I try to boot from the USB stick. I followed the Dortania guide very carefully and put in any kexts and drivers that fit to my system. I am trying it on a HP Pavillion laptop
the specs are: i7-9750H, gtx 1660ti
Modell name for (more specs): HP Gaming Pavilion – 17-cd0316ng

Problem with Hackintosh on MSI Prestige 15 A10SC
Hey everyone.
I need a little help with my Hackintosh on my laptop. The first boot after the install of Ventura (13.6.1) from USB (created with macrecovery on Win11) works just fine. Just as soon as I transfer the EFI from USB to system EFI, it boots but panics as soon as I put in my password and hit enter on the login page. I used this premade EFI from GitHub: https://github.com/aleixsr/MSI-Prestige-15-A10SC-Hackintosh (I only removed the Broadcom kexts as I have an Intel AX 201, I updated the config accordingly). Any help would be appreciated even if prebuilt EFIs are not supported here as much.

14.0 Success, after 6 months trying.
Ive been trying to upgrade from 12.4 for about 6 or so months now with no luck, made multiple EFIs, asked on the discord, trawled the sub, but it just wasn't working for me - I was doing something wrong or missing something and I was stuck.

Thankfully u/mr_r1z3nt0sh was able to lend a hand, and edited my EFI which helped a bit then just made a whole new EFI for me and told me to unplug my Intel Ethernet, and Bingo! Up and running 14.0 with Wifi and BT (I didn't have wifi on 12.4).
Currently having to unplug ethernet to get internet working I think so may just remove Ethernet kexts, but keeping an eye on how things are going on Discord.

2nd HDMI Screen - Auto Detect Turn On or Off
Hi Everyone,
I have been rocking my thinkpad L490 with always updated latest OC and MacOS. Now I am on:
OS: macOS 14.1 23B74 x86\_64

However I have one issue. I use 2 HDMI screens. 1 plugged in via usb-c type dongle, the other screen is plugged in to the direct hdmi output on the laptop.
Whenever I lock my screen and go away (after screen goes to sleep not the laptop, my laptop never sleeps I disabled sleep) after a while screen sleeps. And when I try to login, the direct HDMI output monitor doesn't come back on. It only starts working after I plug off the HDMI cable and plug back in.
Is there anyway to fix HDMI behavior to auto turn on when I wake up my screen?

installing macOS Ventura boots into windows recovery!
Hello,
I built a custom EFI for my pc specs, used opencore install guide, flashed a usb drive, etc everything went smooth, I had windows installed on my SSD,
while installing Ventura in disk utility I deleted the old windows disk/partition and instead created a Mac disk, and installed mac os on the SSD.
after waiting for it to install, I expected it to reboot several times but that didn't happen, after the first reboot it booted into windows recovery.

what should I do
should I take out the ssd format it and try again? this should clear the old windows installation EFI right?
I also have integrated intel HD Graphics 630 / gtx 1060, I have it connected to my monitor.

with Broadcom wifi, move to Sonoma + OCLP or stay on Ventura?
I've got a very stable Ventura hack, i9-9900k with broadcom wifi. All iServices work — airdrop, continuity, imessage, etc.
I'm planning to keep using this machine for several more years, and I'm trying to decide if it's better to stay on Ventura with native broadcom support, or move to Sonoma with OCLP. I don't especially need any of the new features of Sonoma, but Sonoma will get security updates for longer, so down the line that will be important.
Is Sonoma + OCLP on Broadcom wifi a decent, reliable system at this point? Or should I just wait until the last intel macOS and move to that when Ventura loses support? Or just park it forever on Ventura and minimize its exposure to the internet?

Performance and Stability:
My Hackintosh setup has been running surprisingly well. However, I did encounter a performance disparity between Windows and Sonoma initially. In Windows, I was getting an impressive 17,000 multicore score, but in Sonoma, I was only achieving around 8,500.
To address this performance gap, I decided to implement CPUFriend and data modifications. With CPUFriend, I was able to optimize the CPU power management and boost the Sonoma multicore score to a much more respectable 13,500. This improvement demonstrates that there is still room for optimization and fine-tuning to get the most out of your Hackintosh setup.
While I'm content with my current performance, I'm open to any suggestions or insights from the community on further improving the score and overall system stability.

Big Sur on Inspiron 5520, can't get to run.
So i've been trying to run Big Sur on my Dell Inspiron 5520. I have done it last year, but switched back to windows and cant remember what i did to get it to work.
My errors are acpi: marking method as serialized etc then it just reboots.
I will link my plist if someone can look at that too!

OpenCore with dmg
Hi, I'm new at hackintosh and I have a question: Is it possible to have an OpenCore bootloader with a ready-made macOS image, and not with a recovery image. The fact is that I don't have any mac and I had attempts to install a Hackintosh, but they all failed, and it all happened because the macOS recovery utility does not see my Internet connection (I use TP-LINK WIFI ADAPTER TL-WN821N V5) and I simply cannot restore the image due to lack of Internet, and using ethernet for me is unavailable due to the large distance between the computer and the router. I don't have a mac, only windows.
P.S If using a ready-made Mac OS image together with OpenCore is not possible, please tell me how to do so that I would have Internet access to restore the image?

What’s working: everything I can think of (sleep, Bluetooth, WiFi, iServices, unlock with watch)
What’s not working:
Not necessarily “not working” but any time I restart instead of shut down, I always get a pop up after signing back in that says the reboot was caused due to an application error (even though it wasn’t).
Boot chime. Just haven’t taken the time to set it up yet.
I had been successfully running Ventura since it came out and had no issues with OTA updates. When Sonoma came out I planned on updating but didn't get the chance to until 14.1 was out, but went ahead and downloaded the update from the App Store and installed as I had previously. It had been so long since I had an issue updating I made the rookie mistake of not checking for known issues with Sonoma and Hackintoshes. For example, I was completely unprepared for my wifi breaking and didn't know I needed to update AppleALC.kext. I was very frustrated for a few days trying to figure out why I lost audio, but luckily I read the Sonoma release post on tonymacx86 which mentioned updating the kext. I was also happy to find the write-up below covering how to fix wifi with OCLP. So it took longer than my usual updates, but here we are with everything looking good!

I followed all the Setps from the Dortina Guide but when booting up I am getting this error "Error please go to https panic apple com to report this panic" , I am tryinig to install ventura on my Asus Vivobook S15.
